LG Neon Review
My LG Neon review: The LG Neon is a brand new side-slider handset for AT&T. As the name suggests, it does have some pretty bright flamboyant colors – most notably is the green colored QWERTY keyboard. The main display is a decent 2.4″, and is a touchscreen as well. Let me clarify: only the phone dialer is touchscreen (which is quite unfortunate). The keys on the keyboard have a slightly raised, bumpy feel to them, which makes it easier to text. However, unlike the Xenon, this handset only has a 3-row QWERTY keyboard.
The LG Neon’s other features include: a 2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.0, microSD / microSDHC slot, USB port, music and video player, FM radio and of course the full QWERTY keyboard. For the features you get on this phone and the $30 price tag, you can’t go wrong with this colorful messaging handset. However, if you can afford it, I would definitely recommend the LG Xenon over the Neon.

I am currently on my 2nd LG Neon phone. The first one would just shut off randomly, then the keys stopped working. The Second phone just shuts off randomly aswell. My wife has the phone to and it shuts off randomly. This was supposed to be the come back for LG phones, I have to say I have bought some very, very cheap phones but this one takes the cake for being the crappiest. Fido refuses to fo anything about it, I have now put it in a drawer and went back to my Sony Ericsson.
I would NOT recommend buying this phone, avoid at all costs. Its nothing more then a pile of SH!T.
i have this phone it ok but one some of my friends send me picks and it says i cant open the file and it does shut off randomly one time it had a shut down attack or something it had full battery and i was texting and it shut down and i turned it back on and started texting again and again is shut off
I am on my second LG Neon, I am having problems with it shutting off randomly also. It’s a peice of crap.
I got my phone in May and my phone keeps shutting off but itself at least once a day for the past two weeks… This phone is crap.
DO NOT BUY THE LG NEON TE365 PHONE. It has major defects that will affect phone calls and text messages. Frequently when you make a call, you will not hear the phone you have called ringing. Then when the other person picks up, you won’t hear them talking for a few seconds. If you don’t know this it may cause you to hang up on people or cause them to hang up on you. Also, the phone will randomly turn itself off when you open it to answer a call or close it when finished. You will then have to wait to turn it back on. This can be extremely frustrating.
These are known defects and you will find other complaints about this in web postings. LG and the various carriers know about this and are not fixing these problems or taking these defective phones back.
I’m so glad I’m not the only one that had this issue. Called LG and ATT and neither knew anything about this issue. I ended up with a Samsung Propel after going through 2 Neon phones. The Neon is a stylish phone but not worth the annoyance of random shut-offs.
I have had this phone for two months now, and its starting to show symptoms of the shutdown defect. I had my phone turn off automatically 3 times today suddenly, even though the battery was full. I have called fido, and they are sending a replacement phone. Lets hope that one isnt a faulty one either. I am kinda in the same boat as Don Dixon, hoping that this phone would would be an upgrade from my Sony Ericsson W580.
this phone is a piece of crap i have only had it for a week and it keeps shutting off. it usually shuts of while im texting or just shuts off while its in my pocket. it sucks and sometimes it wont even turn back on. even when the bars are full. DONT GET THIS PHONE!!
I’m also on my second neon and it started shutting off randomly the first day I had it. The same as the first neon I had. How can a product like this be on the market if it sucks this bad? it’s baffling.
yeah so my new lg neon, which i got two days ago, was perfectly fine until today. i had it turned off bcuz i had to go to skewl, and after skewl it wouldnt turn on at all. i put it in the charger and all it wouch show me is the at&t sign thingy. its still not working
Dang i thought the power button was too sensitive or something but it’s not, time to call customer now since mine has being doing this also and it just happen at this moment while i’m typing this…lol! If AT&T or LG doesn’t have a solution for it yet at least they have one more voice to hear about this problem.
I am also on my 2nd LG Neon. My phone also shuts off randomnly and when i call someone i dont hear the other persons phone ring. Then it tskes a few seconds for you to be able to hear them. Sure, this phone is cute and has some amazing features, but it has alot of defects. I dropped mine recenty and i cant get it exchanged now because it has a slight scratch on it. It had been doing this even before i dropped it.
It’s unbelievable to me that these jokers can sell this junk to us without running any legitimate tests on their crap.
I’m having the same problems – you can’t hear the ringing when you dial somebody. And it shuts off randomly while texting. As you might imagine, that makes a texting phone totally useless.
Way to go AT&T. Failed again.
My lg neon calls random people in my contacts and gets very annoying thinking about switching it right away
tHIS IS THE BIGGEST PIECE OF JUNK i HAVE ever LAID MY EYES
ON! i CANT WAIT TO YELLAT MY SERVICE PROVIDER AND GET A BLACKBERRY! xoxox
It’s very stylish and compact. I am very impress with it’s camera and kyyboard quality.the EDGE speed is too slow for over-the-air music downloads. But over all it’s nice phone
I have been experiencing shut off problems too!!!! what should i do?? i just got this phone not too long ago!!!
