Now the summer is here, waterproof gadgets are just what the doctor ordered, because all of us would like to do is to just sit on a beach all day long, staring at the sun and hoping there will be nothing to bother you at least for a couple of days.

You know how unpleasant is to go to the beach with a camera, for example, that isn’t waterproof. You’re always very anxious about having it somewhere near the water, especially if it’s your dream camera which needed enormous efforts of your part in order to finally have it.

On the other hand, you wouldn’t think of going to the beach without your camera, because you know there will be lots of fun that you’d rather not miss and further forget. I’m sure you’ve heard about the Olympus waterproof camera called mju that is part of an entire line of tough devices.

But, as you all know, Olympus cameras can get quite expensive. So here you have a new mate for the mju cameras, the AgfaPhoto DC-600uw. This is a 6 megapixel camera that is able to function at depths of no more than 10 meters, being reistant to shocks, drops, dirt and dust.

The features include an internal memory of 32MB, a SDHC memory card support for expandable memory, a 2.4 inches LCD display, face recognition and digital zoom. The camera runs on 2 AA batteries and can be purchased for 149 Euros starting this month. In Europe only, for the moment.
