Have you used any of the above? I’ve got experience with GIMP, and as mentioned above, it’s got nothing on Photoshop. Most especially if you make a living manipulating images. If you just need to resize a lot of images quickly, you’re better off using Photoscape (#5), or Google’s Picasa.
