Some advice for amateur photographers

One of the biggest jobs a photographer can land is wedding photography.  One of the biggest hobbies around is photography.  Not everyone does it for money.  For those amateur hobby photographers taking wedding photos is exciting. So if you know some friends who are getting married you can surprise them with photos that may be better than the photos taken by their hired photographer. So here are some advice on improving your wedding photography.

These are some tips for an amateur photographer but they are some tips I have gained doing San Diego wedding photographer work.  So if you are a professional they could help as well too.Because as mentioned earlier in the article, doing wedding shoots is one of the most satisfying things that can happen to a photographer.

So the first thing you want to do is be in the moment.  What do I mean by that?  Well everyone knows what happens at a wedding.  There are planned events. But a lot of emotions are being displayed even if the events are planned.  Since you have been to many wedding be ready for those moments.  Those will be some of the best shots of the whole wedding.  In my portfolio as a San Diego photographer you can see that to be the case.

Another thing to remember is that in a wedding people are constantly on the move.So do not focus on taking still shots.  You will capture some of the best moments by capturing movements. It is a hard trick to capture but can be done.  Of course I had to hone my skills doing San Diego event photography to be able to do this.  But once you capture some shots that are more than still shots you will love it.You can outshoot their hired photographer. That would be a great feeling if you are still an amateur.  Plus you will be able to share those great photos with your friends.  And who knows, it could lead to paying jobs.
