AT&T BlackJack 2 In Pink & Blue

Posted by on Wednesday, 23 July, 2008

AT&T BlackJack 2 Pink BlueThe AT&T BlackJack 2 is now available in pink & blue colors. Both the AT&T BlackJack 2 pink & blue handsets have a white front, with the new colors on the back side. It’s quite a stark difference between the white face & the original black/red version. The back side also features circle designs for the pink phone & square designs for the blue model. Both handsets are available now for just $99 on a 2 year contract.

The AT&T BlackJack 2 pink & blue won’t be getting any new features, but here’s a reminder of what you’ll be getting: a 2.4″ landscape QVGA display and full QWERTY keyboard on the front side, Windows Mobile 6, built-in GPS, 2-megapixel camera and tri-band UMTS/HSDPA which would allow for 3G global-roaming.

Posted by on Wednesday, 16 July, 2008

T-Mobile Sidekick 2008The T-Mobile Sidekick 2008 is almost here. The T-Mobile Sidekick 2008 is headed to all retail outlets on July 30th. The peculiarly named handset was previously code-named the Gekko, Gecco & Aspen, and they finally decided to go with the year it was released. It’s one of the most basic Sidekicks available, although it does have a few unique features. It’s a good starter device for texting, MySpace, video sharing & other Internet activities.

The T-Mobile Sidekick 2008 will feature: a 2 megapixel cam, a 2.6-inch WQVGA display & interchangeable shells. It’s an improvement over the iD, but it still has it’s limits. If you’re into the texting, MySpace scene – the T-Mobile Sidekick 2008 will be a good option for you. Especially since it shouldn’t be too hard on your wallet.

Red Sprint BlackBerry Curve

Posted by on Tuesday, 15 July, 2008

Red Sprint BlackBerry CurveThe Red Sprint BlackBerry Curve is now available. The red Sprint BlackBerry Curve joins the titanium colored handset to become the second color option for the hot seller. Apparently, RIM is pretty keen on red, since you can get the color with the Curve or Pearl now. It actually is a very good looking phone, and I’m sure it’ll be a relief to business customers who don’t want the regular black model phones.

The red Sprint BlackBerry Curve features include: GPS, a 2 megapixel camera with video recording, Bluetooth, “enhanced” web browsing, and of course the Sprint music and TV services. Also, the mulitmedia services available on the phone are quite exceptional. The red Sprint BlackBerry Curve is available now for just $149.99 after 2 year agreement and rebates.

3G Apple iPhone Review – PhoneArena

Posted by on Monday, 14 July, 2008

3G Apple iPhone WhitePhoneArena reviews the 3G Apple iPhone: “The 3G Apple iPhone is a multimedia powerhouse, with a gorgeous design and an interface that remains the standard. If you don’t already own one, the iPhone 3G is well worth the $200-300 it will set you back, but what about if you do already have one? Honestly, we’d have a hard time recommending it, unless you really needed 3G or GPS. Apple’s fundamental business mistake here is that the iPhone 2.0 software is available to current iPhone owners, meaning they get just about every benefit of the new device without having to shell out a few hundred dollars. Coupled with AT&T’s poor 3G coverage and the issues users have been running into, the 3G Apple iPhone just isn’t a compelling upgrade. Furthermore, manufacturers have had a year to catch up to Apple and some are doing a pretty good job.

The original iPhone is still an amazing phone, and can utilize the benefits of the new 2.0 software. When it comes down to it, the new 3G Apple iPhone simply plays catch-up with other devices that have been running 3G and GPS for years. This was an opportunity for Apple to once again raise the bar, but instead they dropped the ball.”

Verizon Motorola W755 Review – Cnet

Posted by on Thursday, 10 July, 2008

Verizon Motorola W755Cnet reviews the Verizon Motorola W755: “The Verizon Motorola W755 has a slim design with a square external display and a tiny camera lens just above. It’s not unattractive by any means, but it is very common. Yet even with the similarities, the phone has its own personality. At 3.9 inches by 1.9 inches by 0.68 inch, it’s both taller and somewhat narrower when measured across its front face. Its profile isn’t quite as trim, either, but it still manages to cast a svelte shadow. We didn’t mind the extra girth as the Verizon Motorola W755 has a very solid and sturdy feel in the hand–this is one phone we wouldn’t be afraid to drop. We also liked the soft-touch material on the front and back covers.
The good: The sturdy Verizon Motorola W755 has a vivid display, well-designed controls, and decent feature set. The call quality is satisfying, and the photo and streaming-video quality are both excellent.

The bad: The handset has a poor speakerphone, and its music player was unimpressive. Its camera offers few editing features, and its memory card slot is buried behind the battery.

The bottom line: The Verizon Motorola W755’s design looks way too familiar, but its solid feature set, ergonomic controls, and enjoyable call and video quality make it a reliable Verizon Wireless handset.”
