Apple iPhone delays Leopard Release date

story @ Friday, April 13th, 2007

macleopard.jpgApple announced in a statement yesterday that OSX 10.5 Leopard will be delayed until at least October.

“While Leopard’s features will be complete by then, we cannot deliver the quality release that we and our customers expect from us.”

We previously reported that the OS was originally planned to be released during Apple’s WWDC in June. However members of the development team for Leopard were pulled away from the project for some last minute tweaks to the iPhone software forcing the release date to be pushed back.

Apple plans to have a beta version of Leopard available to developers at WWDC and then release the full version in October.
