Mozy makes online backup (and my life) easy

story @ Saturday, July 28th, 2007

I’ll be honest.. I was never one to believe in backup. I never believed in a RAID setup. Online backups were too expensive and time consuming. I’ve had crashes before but never much more than that.

Then I tried to install OSX86 on my Windows drive — uh oh. I lost everything on that drive including some important files after my partition table got pooched. I tried some data recovery but it was too late and most of what i could recover was useless.

At that moment I decided enough was enough - it was time for a backup solution. I turned to Mozy.

I’ve used their free service before [which i stopped of course :( ] and I remember it being very easy to use. I signed up for there Unlimited $4.95/mth deal and now I’m protected from my own stupidity — well atleast as far as backup is concerned.
