Saving Money by Purchasing Used DVDs

Posted by on Saturday, 5 June, 2010

A motion picture aficionado is what many people call me. DVDs of movies, TV shows and series is what I collect. Nonetheless, DVD costs these days are soaring high. With the economy in the dumper, adding new DVDs to my collection is getting tougher constantly.

I hit upon a method to acquire brand new films without breaking the bank. I got myself a few used DVDs. However, you must consider where to purchase them as well according to lots of people. As an example, i might be able to buy something I like in a yard sale however it does not work for reasons uknown. It may have been that they were simply bad copies, or possibly they had scrapes on them that prevented them from playing.

I get my used DVDs from lots of locations. Even going to places you least expect of marketing used DVDs. An entire section of used DVDs can also be found in a big pawnshop. Sometimes I go to the library, to see if they’re going to sell any of the DVDs, they have in their collection. They do have some at times.

A great place to go is Blockbuster. It is a business which is attempting to find methods to remain alive, and is studying to explore untouched markets to do this. Selling used DVDs is among these new approaches. If you have had your preferred motion picture come out and you wouldn’t like to spend the 20 or 30 dollars that the retailers might be charging, (Depending on whether you are searching for standard or BluRay.) wait for a 7 days or so, and you will most likely find it on discount sales at Blockbuster.

There’s a place called The Wherehouse (www.wherehouse.com) that offers new and used CDs, DVDs and Video games. My friends and family also gives me DVDs as gifts as well as purchasing some that ended up being not that good. The Warehouse also buys used stuff. All you have to try and do is set up a free account, search the title of the film you intend to sell and they’ll inform you just how much they are ready to pay for it.

What’s great is that I send them films, and they either give me a check, or pay via PayPal, and will also issue me a credit.

Half-Price Books is yet another place I go to have used movies on DVD. These are in a lot of states, and possibly possess a location near you.

So do not sweat the costs of a motion picture on DVD. Learn from my experience and buy used DVDs!

Muvi Atom is world’s tiniest camcorder

Posted by on Tuesday, 6 April, 2010

Muvi makes small, clever, little camcorders. Their previous model, the Micro DV, was considered to be the smallest camcorder available. That was of course, until the Atom came out. Measuring a tiny 1.5 inches tall, it’s the choice of hidden shower cam aficionado’s everywhere.

Ok, maybe you can convince me that there’s a legitimate use for this, but I’m having trouble figuring out what that would be. The Atom records to a microSD card, supports up to 8GB, and it’s voice activated. Again, try and tell you’re buying this thing to record family home movies to and not hiding it in the dressing room at the lingerie store.

The Atom’s internal battery will give you about an hour of video at 640×480 at 30fps. It comes with a 2GB microSD card, but you can upgrade to an 8GB if you are so inclined. MSRP on this perverts delight is $99, which seems a little dear to me.
