This HP can also hold a standard 500 sheets of paper, with an additional 100 sheets in an included multi-purpose tray. With the addition of several optional trays, total capacity can be bumped all the way up to 2,600 sheets, which is a very nice number in terms of total capacity. The printer can print out on most standard paper sizes, including legal and letter.

When it comes to maintenance and monthly duty cycle, the device performs well, not needing regular maintenance until over 100,000 sheets have been printed. This makes for a fairly hardy printer, it must be said. Also, task time from when a job is first sent to the printer and when it emerges is less than 12 seconds, with cold startup-to-print occurring in less than two minutes.

Memory as supplied comes in at a more than adequate 128 MB of RAM. This can be expanded to up to 512 MB, meaning that the printer will be able to handle vast amounts of print tasking is from any number of users within the network. Because it has a 533 MHz microprocessor, all taskings and jobs will be handled quickly and smoothly, with very little hesitation or hang up.

Taken altogether, a quick glance at the HP Color LaserJet 4700n printer should be more than enough time to give one all the information one will need to know when it comes to deciding whether or not this particular printer is the one to go for. It comes with one year of on-site service, if needed, and its nice print speed as well as durability will be sure to make it a printer high on anyone’s list when it comes to purchasing a network device like this.
