Dell Laser 1100 Toner Cartridge – A Great Printer That Is Sure To Boost Productivity In Your Small Office

Posted by on Saturday, 27 February, 2010

The Dell 1100 printer sells for around $85 to $100. It’s a device designed for the average user offering decent text and graphic printing quality with the Dell Laser 1100 toner. The printing speed is 14 pages per minute, which is an average speed for most home printers. If you think 14 pages per minute is too slow, you might as well spend a little more money for faster devices.

It weighs around 12 pounds, which is similar to other laser printers. It has the grey and white color combination that Dell usually uses on its products. As for the paper tray, it is something that needs to be revised. The tray is always open and this makes it susceptible to dust.

The device’s control panel is very user-friendly. The two LED’s will tell you if it is jammed or busy. There is button on the panel you can press to feed the paper or to cancel a job. The tray on top can also hold around 50 sheets.

Just in case the device jams, the toner cartridge can easy be removed as it is located under its main door. The printer’s design made it very easy to take out the toner cartridge. There is no USB cable included in the package, which is somewhat strange since the device can only connect through USB.

Connecting and installing the printer to the computer is very easy. The package comes with a poster that illustrates the steps on how to do it. The printer’s drivers even load automatically. Unfortunately, the Dell 1100 printer only supports Windows. If you are using a Mac or Linux operating system, this is not for you.

The Dell 1100 laser printer can handle 600 x 600 dpi resolution, which is typical for a printer in this class. It has a 150 MHz processor, which is faster when you compare it to other devices under the same price range. However, this device only has a 2 MB RAM, which limits it for personal use. In addition, the small RAM can only handle text, spreadsheets, and grayscale graphics.

The package includes a 1,000-page yield cartridge, which is a bit small compared to other printers. When the toner runs out, you can replace it with a standard black toner cartridge. The standard cartridge can print 2,000 pages. If you do the math, that is about 3.3 cents per page, which is a bit expensive compared to other devices. Other laser printers can print a page for only 2.7 cents or lower.

The device can accept various paper sizes from ISO B5 to A4. The printer can print around 5,000 pages monthly. It also prints various sizes of envelopes. I think that is enough for most students and writers. If you need more that, consider spending more on another printer.

Price and speed are what make the Dell 1100 printer a good product. There’s even a trade in offer you can take advantage of. All you need to do is exchange your old Dell printer for this device. The 90-day warranty, the small toner cartridge, and the memory are just some of the things holding the product down. This is a good printer, especially if you already own an inkjet printer.

The Dell Laser 1100 Toner Cartridge performs well, as Dell toner cartridges tends to do. Value can be realized in replacement toner when searching online.

Sneakers‘ history goes back a lot on a timeline. In the final years of the 18th century, there wore some kind of shoes, called plimsolls, which were pretty rudimentary, and you could not make a difference between the right and the left foot. In 1892 the U.S. Rubber Company, came with a new model, some comfortable sneakers, which had canvas tops, called Keds. Until 1917, they began to be mass produces, and they got their name from the fact that they were so quiet shoes, and someone wearing them could sneak up.

In 1917, Marquis Converse produced the shoes made for basketball, Converse-All-Stars, and in 1923, Chuck Taylor endorsed the shoes and their name changed to Chuck Taylor All-Stars.This kind of shoes became international only in 1924, when Adi Dassler, a German, created a sneaker and named it after himself: Adidas. Adi’s brother, Rudi Dassler, started another famous company, Puma. In the first half of the 20th century, sneakers were wore only to play sports, but in the second half of the century new fashion statements staid that there exists a sport look, and many teens started accepting and wearing more and more often sport clothes and shoes.

In 1984, Michael Jordan signed a contract with Nike, and sales of sneakers exploded. As companies like Nike, Reebok, Adidas competed they improved the models they were producing, and all these developments are only good for the customers. Special features were added to sneakers in time, like little pockets of gas, used by Nike, to create better cushioning, or like Reebok pumped air into shoes to make them better fitting to the leg.

I would like to tell you a few words about some cool pairs of sneakers I liked very much and which seem to be many people’s favorite models.

First model is Puma First Rounds, which I think that are pretty cool; the perfect color combination and the cool suede uppers makes this pair of sneakers cool. These shoes are perfect for people who can take care of this special material: suede. If you know that you are more friendly to leather, maybe then you shouldn’t choose this model!

Nike Dunks are on the wave in the streets today. They have crazy color lines and the materials are very fine, very representative for Nike. These shoes are offeres both in high and low releases and you should try finding your favorite colors as soon as you can, because the shops are running out of this kind of shoes.

Rollins Mid Top Sneakers from Clae are perfect for the urban jungle we are living in, and I liked this model because they are inspired from a hiking boot. This model has the perfect chunk, brings up a slick grip and it looks perfect on everybody’s legs.

Motorola i776w

Motorola i776wThe Motorola i776w is now available. The Motorola i776w is a new iDEN clamshell available at Boost Mobile & just recently, Southern LINC. You won’t find any high-end features on this handset, but it still has everything you’ll need for “normal”, every-day use. The 65k color main display is actually fairly decent, and the exterior display is also color (although it’s minuscule). The keypad is pretty typical for Motorola – smooth and metallic. The one thing I’m not liking (appearance-wise) is the bulky antenna. But, I know most people won’t have a problem with that.
The Motorola i776w’s most notable features include: Bluetooth, 2.5mm headset jack, walkie-talkie feature, IM / texting capabilities, a .3 megapixel VGA camera, calendar, speakerphone & GPS. The handset comes in a purple/silver color combination, and also features a stylish design on the front. It’s actually a good looking phone, but more geared towards the ladies for sure.
