Green Max 4.8 GMAX robot toy: Toilets in disguise

Did you know that TOTO makes GreenMax 4.8 liter toilets? And did you that in Japan these toilets are revered as deities? What you’re seeing here is a TOTO action figure called GMAX whose catchphrase, “Protect the Earth, GMAX! Ready – Switch, on!” is now part of the Japanese National Anthem. It’s true!

Actually all of that was false, but WTF: it’s a TOTO toilet action figure. Don’t we have better things to waste precious oil resources on? Like glasses for the poor? The sheer fact that this exists – and comes in a big package – is an affront to the very standards that GMAX is supposed to be upholding. It’s like making a “Stop the Destruction of the Rainforests” building out of 500 rare rain forest trees.

Lexicon Stuffs $500 Oppo Blu-Ray Player Inside New Case, Adds $3000 To Price

What do you get when you take a pretty decent Oppo $500 Blu-Ray player, strip off the black metal case, and then drop the entire thing (chassis and all) into a slightly fancier silver metal case with a different logo on it? Lexicon, apparently, thinks that you get a $3500 Blu-Ray player. After noticing some similarities between the front and back layouts of the Oppo BDP-83 and the Lexicon BD-30, Audioholics tore them both open to check and see what was going on inside:

As far as we could determine, Lexicon didn’t change a single thing in terms of the hardware. Heck, they didn’t even lift the boards out of the chassis, opting instead to cut out the bottom of their own chassis to accommodate the venting locations, and putting a darker blue filter over the Oppo’s VFD display to give it a slightly deeper hue.

But wait, the Lexicon BD-30 is THX certified and the Oppo BDP-83 isn’t, so they must have done something to it, right?

…Right?

Or, it could be that the BD-30 actually fails the basic THX audio certification, and since Audioholics pointed that out to THX and Lexicon, all of the branding and mentions of the BD-30 being THX certified disappeared from the THX and Lexicon websites.

I can’t say that this kind of thing surprises me, but it does make me wonder just how many mid to high end electronics out there are just slightly modified and dressed up versions of basic units… All the more reason to do your research before you plunk down a whole bunch of money for something that may just be a budget model in disguise.

There are literally hundreds of spy gadgets out there for use in the home, business and even for a bit of fun. But narrowed down what are quite possibly the 3 best spy gadgets out there right now for use.

3- The recording Key

This is basically a cleverly disguised digital video recorder with the appearance of a normal remote car key. Something that is included with this is photo snapshot capture and is almost impossible to detect with the naked eye. It as time and stamp date to prove when it was recorded as well as coming with a 2GB SD card with three hours of recording time.

2- F.W.B Keylogger

This really is a USB data stick in disguise and is used to see what someone else is up to on thier computer. All you have to do is insert the stick into the targets computer and the program will take at around twenty seconds to install. This really does do everything everything from recording what websites are used to IM conversations as well as taking regular snapshots of the computer and most importantly can search for the sender and recipient of all e-mails. All you have to do for the data to come back to you is pop the stick back in and it will transfer back over in seconds. This is especially useful for any worried parents as well as on a distrusted employee.

1- Is the Vehicle Tracking system

Any vehicle you want can be tagged with this. Vehicle tracking is good for checking to see where a partner is going or how far your employees travel as well as looking into how fast, what roads they take and how long they are sat in traffic or on their lunch breaks.

This certainly is not all of the gadgets out there. There are many others including voice recorders and wireless covert cameras if that is what is going to be more suitable for your needs.
