Ergonomics attempts to align the workspace to minimize the physical and mental stress on the worker’science’ of how to match man (or woman) with machine (or their work environment). There are many applications of ergonomics from designing the interior of a luxury automobile to designing a kitchen appliance for one of the most common uses is the design of workstations.

There are many factors to take into account when looking at the ergonomics of one’s work environment. An ergonomic chair always fits in here somewhere. The fact that many of us spend a large portion of her days sitting, makes it very important that the chair give proper support and can be adjusted to our needs. Spending your life savings to buy a top-of-the-line ergonomic computer chair is not a requirement as long as you give a good ergonomic chair that can be adjusted to meet your body needs.

The Miller chair in the above video is an example of a top of the line ergonomic office chair ,and while it is nice it may not fit most people’s budget. Since the chair is a central feature of any workstation you should always buy the best that you can afford. Your desk and the way it relates to your chair and the positioning of your other tools would probably be the next thing to look at. Everything in the workplace often times revolves around the center which is the computer. From this we get the term computer ergonomics, which has become common today. Proper adjustment of your monitor’s position so that there is no undue strain on neck when working with it is important. If you position the keyboard so that your fingers are just about the and hanging comfortably, you will find this minimizes stress and the wrist and hands. The tools that you have at hand to do your job should be arranged in an orderly fashion so that they are easily within reach, so that you don’t have to stretch or strain in order to reach them. This serves two purposes. Minimizing the effects of strain due to having to stretch to reach improperly placed tool is the first benefit. And the second is the reduction of mental stress caused by not knowing where these tools are. Ignoring some of the key points of computer ergonomics can lead to a lifetime of minor physical problems and possibly the major ones. It is easy to ignore our posture and a workplace design without realizing it. We may not realize until much later the effects that this can have on us physically. Ergonomics usually escapes being identified as the cause of exhaustion at the end of the workday. You won’t feel stiff and uncomfortable at the end of the day if your workspace is ergonomically designed properly. Wouldn’t it be logical to put some attention on this?

HP has launched a range of new economic laptop called the HP Mini 210. It is the successor to the Mini 110 was released in the previous year. There are not many significant differences between these two netbook. The newest Intel Atom N450 processor is used by HP 210 laptop. It also offers color lid options. Mouse buttons are pushed down the touch pad, fix one of the weaknesses of the Mini 110. It also uses optional Broad Crystal Accelerator, which enables video playback.

This aesthetic design includes gently curving edge HP lid, slightly rounded corners, a long narrow body and medium screen hinge. It comes with a default color crystal silver lid, which looked a bit plain. Red, Black or Blue color cover additional costs $ 20. HP Mini 210 outer casing looks similar to previous HP laptop such as the Mini 110.

Mouse buttons mounted on the bottom right and left corner of the touchpad, and entire pad pressing with every click that is same with MacBook. The touchpad design is also very good, which was similar with HP’s Envy laptop series. Touch panel has a better response. You can disable it if you do not use it.

HP 1030 is designed with a good laptop. Its keyboard and touchpad are very comfortable. Ergonomics of both a keyboard and a touch of the best. Laptop looks stunning design perfect complement. Laptop base price of $ 299 will include the same features as $ 299 laptops from Acer, Dell or Asus.

The keyboard has a good size Tab, Shift and other important buttons are very important for laptop small size .Keyboard chicklet style has been adopted from HP’s business line laptops like the HP Mini 5101 and 5102 models in the Mini 210. This keyboard offers a large, flat keys that facilitate broad spaces easier and faster typing. You can adjust the volume and brightness using the F1-F12. They serve an alternative purpose here. It weighs about 3.5 pounds including the AC adapter.

Most mice are designed to fit a wide variety of hand sizes, but the results aren’t always perfect. So Rainbow has created yet another mouse that can be customized via a set of 2 different covers. The ‘medium’ sized cover sits relatively flush to the mouse itself, while a ‘large’ sized cover appears to add a considerable amount of junk to the mouse’s trunk, fitting larger hands.

The mouse itself comes in 3 different flavors with varying levels of functionality, including a high-end wireless model, but they all seem to include a laser optical sensor, a scroll wheel and various programmable buttons. Long neglected by manufacturers because they are of the devil, left handed gamers have had to use an ambidextrous mouse or suffer from poor ergonomics.

Two weeks ago, I bought the Koss PortaPro Headphones from Amazon.com. Turns paying $32 was a very good idea.

To recap, the PortaPro is designed for well, portability. A steel bridge connects both earpieces, and bends as the earpieces themselves fold inwards to make everything smaller, more compact. A hook under the right side keeps everything secure as you stuff it into the included case.

That’s actually my biggest issue with the gadget. With a drawstring fastener, Koss could have made the case’s opening bigger. It’s not so tight that you have to push hard to stuff the folded headphones in, but even a half-inch of clearance would’ve made things a lot easier.

Other than that though, the Koss PortaPro is a dream. Thanks to ball-joint mounts, the headphones situate themselves comfortably on my ears. The steel bridge is actually made of two sliding pieces, which facilitates adjustments to a variety of head sizes. All this makes for good ergonomics; I spent the whole day wearing the headphones during one of my epic cramming sessions, and the only discomfort felt was with meeting the deadlines.

My history with earphones and headphones is quite limited, but the Koss PortaPro features the best audio quality I’ve ever experienced. Like other quality sound gear I’ve tried, the full bass and the clear treble is there, only everything sounds more real. With a shorter cord, you also don’t need to crank up the volume to max levels to hear anything significant. There’s still lots of room to tap if you ever need to listen to that very soft online video.

Clearly labeled as designed for the iPhone, the Koss PortaPro features a mini 3.5mm TRS jack. Included with the package is a quarter-inch adaptor; if Koss included a 2.5mm counterpart, the headphones would’ve worked with practically any device. Still, it’s the perfect for anyone who wants good headphones, but can’t spare any more room in their bag for a top-notch audio experience.

And did I mention the price? The Koss PortaPro now retails for just over $28 from Amazon.com. You really can’t go wrong with buying it.

I like the idea of carrying a reusable, foldable bag for those times when you need a bit of extra carrying space, but I hate the ergonomics (or lack thereof) of the traditional grocery bag design. So even though at $30 it’s considerably more expensive than your run-of-the-mill reusable bag, I still think the Hidden Messenger from Timbuk2 is totally worth it. The bag’s made from 90% recycled PET ripstop fabric, making it lightweight and durable, but it’s the adjustable strap and over the shoulder messenger design which makes it easy to carry lots of unexpected stuff, while still keeping your hands free.

Short version: The Leatherman Skeletool is a lightweight, high quality multi-tool that combines striking industrial design with excellent functionality.

Full review:

I love multi-tools. I had an original Leatherman tool back in the day, and used to carry a Leatherman Wave will me all the time until it was stolen. I’ve carried other brands from time to time, but I also end up going back to a Leatherman. When Leatherman sent me the Skeletool, I was a little hesitant about it. Honestly, I wasn’t overly fond of the styling, as I usually prefer the ergonomics of the “old school” multi-tool. I will admit however, that I like the curved handle and carbon fiber feel of the Skeletool.

Putting the “multi” in multi-tool:
So what does the Skeletool include as far as accessories? Pliers, a knife blade that locks open, bottle opener, and two sizes of standard and Philips screwdrivers. The screwdriver bits are interchangeable, and the one that is not in use is stored in the handle. The Skeletool doesn’t come with a nylon sheath, but it does have a carabiner style clip to attach it to your gear. The carabiner clip doubles as a bottle opener for emergencies.

There are a few optional accessories available from Leatherman’s website – you can add a “Bit Kit” which contains 42 additonal bits, or a bit driver extension.

Final thoughts:
The Skeletool CX is a nice piece of kit. While I was somewhat dubious about the design, I’ve grown to appreciate the light weight and carbon fiber look. I do have a minor concern; with the Wave, the screwdriver parts were permanently attached to the tool. I’m worried about the possibility of losing the bits over the long term, or the possibility of wear on the slot that holds the additional bit causing said bit to fall out.

Leatherman’s latest multi-tool is available at most major retailers and their website. MSRP is about $100, but I was able to find them for almost half that by shopping around a bit.
