Acer Iconia Tab A510 to hit European retailers this April?

Posted by on Wednesday, 25 January, 2012

Amidst the madness that was CES, Acer quietly snuck its Iconia Tab A510 onto the showroom floor, tucking the tablet into the folds of NVIDIA’s booth. While the company was more than willing to fess up to the slate’s specs — quad-core Tegra 3 processor, skinned Ice Cream Sandwich UX, 1280 x 800 display — little in the way of pricing and availability were revealed. If a report out of Germany is to be believed, however, Europeans (sorry, statesiders) might very well see the 10.1-incher hit retail as early as this April, with a €500 price tag in tow. That’s all the rumor mill’s wrought for now, folks, but we’ll keep you posted should the news go official at CeBIT 2012.

ViaSat-1 moves into fixed orbit, aims its broadband ray gun

Posted by on Friday, 4 November, 2011

To advanced aliens and Europeans, ViaSat-1 is no big deal. To Americans and Canadians, however, it’s their ticket to more affordable satellite broadband coverage at speeds of up to 10Mbps, as well better in-flight connectivity. The satellite’s plasma thrusters have moved it into geosynchronous orbit and its payload has been switched on, so the initial service is on track to begin by Christmas time, with further services in 2012. Want to know more about the tech involved in such extraterrestrial feats? Then look for the detailed PR after the break.

ViewSonic ViewPad 10e coming soon to UK and Netherlands?

Posted by on Tuesday, 11 October, 2011
Is ViewSonic about to surprise the UK and Netherlands with a new ViewPad? We haven’t heard a single peep about the new tablet until the advert you can see above mysteriously leaked, at which point Viewsonic confirmed to Tablet Test that the device not only exists, but will be coming out “soon.” The ViewPad 10e gets a 9.7-inch, 1024 x 768 IPS display (that’s the same size and resolution as the TouchPad and iPad 2′s display), a 1.3 megapixel camera and it’s only 9mm (0.35 inches) thick. We don’t know much about what’s on the inside, except to say it’ll be running Gingerbread solo, rather than the “dual OS” setup of the ViewPad 10pro. There’s nary a release date to be found, but we do know that when it arrives, it’ll set Europeans back to the tune of €250 (about 0).

[Thanks, Andreas]

Incredible Guidelines On The Key Reason Why Auto Shipping Is There When Your Passion For Driving A Vehicle Just Goes So Far

Posted by on Monday, 18 April, 2011

We’re a land of vehicle enthusiasts. It’s definitely indicated by the sheer number of vehicles on the streets nowadays. We like to drive and we appear to do so in ever-increasing numbers in spite of the awful expenses related to purchasing a litre of petrol currently. Whilst we might not use our vehicle for many “simple” excursions and journeys as some of our American pals, for example, most of us would not know what to do without our wheels.

At times, on the other hand, driving our vehicle to a specific destination may not be feasible or realistic. A case in point might be a long-distance move, if you’ve been instructed to relocate for work reasons, or if you simply want to relocate to another destination. As Europeans, we can reside and work in a range of distinct locations in the Union and so many people are opting to “head for the sun.” More and more people seem to be joining the ranks of the small business owner and when you have a home-based business may be awakening to the fact that you could really run your business from anywhere, as long as you have a digital connection. All of a sudden, transferring and even emigrating might seem worthwhile. Give some thought to auto shipping.

It is a great example of a period when we make use of our head rather than our hearts. We might really like driving and being an automobile enthusiast, yet understand that we should let other folks take the strain in this case and that’s what vehicle shipping businesses are for, after all.

Keep in mind that whenever you ship anything specific similar to this, delays may occur and the well known Murphy’s Law can come into effect. Give yourself a lot of flexibility with regards to the collection day and the delivery day, since it is simply very hard to supply the cast-iron warranty of certain times and dates, due to outside elements.

Shipping your own vehicle could be a part of the adventure, if you are prepared and ready for each scenario. The industry is quite well-founded, prepared and very competent and as long as you go for the appropriate insurance policy against stuff that can occur you may reach your destination with little to stress about.
