N-Control Avenger makes it look complicated, we go hands-on (video)

At first glance, the N-Control Avenger looks like the fevered dream of a quirky lunatic, destined for fame and failure as a legendary crapgadget. When one showed up on our doorstep, we were admittedly skeptical. Could a lever- and pulley-laden Xbox 360 controller clamshell really give us a competitive edge? Wouldn’t all the extra bits and pieces only result in a cumbersome mess? Is this doodad really worth the asking price? We went hands-on to find out, and boy howdy, were we surprised.

A Look At Red Dead Redemption And What It Has To Offer

Posted by on Saturday, 22 May, 2010

The ‘Westerns’ genre has been a difficult act to promote in the videogame world, most titles primarily based on the era flunk dramatically. However, Rocksteady’s latest game, Red Dead Redemption, has gained almost universal praise from critics and players alike. It’s being championed as the complete Western experience in gaming.

Red Dead Redemption is a sandbox game, wherein you inhabit an open world and are mostly free to discover it as you like. The plot follows John Marston, a former outlaw who is tricked by the government to search out his old gang members and spread deeper legislation and order throughout the frontier.

Other than the primary plot, there is a lot for users to do. Users can hunt for food, play tournaments of poker, take further jobs and be a part of stakeouts, to call but a few. The game also incorporates a morality feature much like such titles as Fable, wherein your actions will impact your fame and cause strangers to behave accordingly. Red Dead Redemption makes in depth use of era accurate weapons and even various breeds of stallions. The authenticity of the game is what has earned it such high regard.

Free world titles have proven well loved within the videogame community, and with Red Dead Redemption it’s clear to see why. Users can immerse themselves in a vast and interactive world, free to play precisely as they see fit. Add in exciting gunplay and a bristling plot, and you’re set to join in the love of Red Dead Redemption.
