How to protect the computer from attacks of hackers

There are many various malefactors in the Internet. Some of them try to “dissolve” you, promising a freebie, offering the doubtful goods and services, forcing you to click references of the doubtful maintenance. We can meet similar ways quite often in a real life too. That is why ways of struggle against them are the same as in a real life – not to be got involved in the doubtful enterprises and to avoid them.

The matter with so-called hackers is more difficult. Generally, I want to write about someone who does not exactly fir to this definition, but for simplicity of perception I will use this word to talk about those who, using various computer technologies, harm your computer or steals from it the important information.

Usually when a person has learned to program something, especially at young age, he/she longs for feats. Such hackers are called “hackers-jokers”. They write some harmful program on purpose to ego-trip and take a fun. Depending on forwardness of the virus of the writer this program can be simple a joke, for example, the cursor of your mouse can disappear from the screen or something more serious can happen.

Once I have met such kind of virus. After reboot of the computer the words “Let’s play poker” have appeared on the screen. I have played it and have lost, and other words have jumped out – “You have lost. Let you Windows pay for your loss”. I have apprehended it as a joke, but the virus hasn’t been joking also I has paid wholly for this loss.

It happens that hackers transfer you an invisible program which simply destroys yours Windows, or makes so that work with system is impossible. I have thought that hackers of such programs are also jokers. However, black humor is also humor.

There is a second category of such people – so-called “hackers-Mafiosis”. If you consider that there is nothing to steal from your computer, and you will not become a victim of hackers of the Mafiosi you are mistaken. Your computer can be used for a spam sending or realization of hacker attacks as gun meat.

How to protect yourself from hackers:

- Do not trust any spam. The majority of worms extend through e-mail, to be exact, through a spam. I recommend you to delete all spam messages, without reading its detail. And to download the files attached by spamers – this is a top of nonsense.

- Download anything only from known checked sites.

- Update the software. Quite often hackers use holes in any browsers or offices. Not without holes our favorite Windows is. There are users who do not very much care of downloading of innovations and hackers successfully use them for their attacks.

- Also your computer can be attacked without use of the above described programs but directly through the Internet. The hacker will get on your computer and will make necessary actions. Do not visit doubtful sites. Very often sites with the doubtful maintenance such as free porno sites and sites with a freebie conceal in a code of the pages a worm which with pleasure will flow to your computer. Recently various searchers, for example google, warn about such danger for your computer.

Be cautious with everything that gets on your computer.

Search Google and other search engines. Visit social networks and check the accounts that are relevant to your topic. Go to the niche forums and join the discussion. Sprint Wants To Give Your iPad 4G Speeds

4GiPad-Case

By Chris Scott Barr

If you read my review of the iPad earlier today, you probably noticed my little rant about the internet connectivity. While I have no issue with paying a little extra for the hardware, I’m pretty frustrated that I would have to pay even more money every month to keep this device connected to the internet. In that spirit, I purchased the non-3G model and am determined to use one of my two other mobile connections to provide simple access to the web on my iPad. I may need to look no further than Sprint for this.

Sprint has announced a new case for the iPad, which has a rather unique front pocket. Okay, so the pocket isn’t that unique, but rather it’s what lies inside that pocket that matters. In that pocket you can place one of their Overdrive 3G routers, which will provide an internet connection to your iPad (or any other devices) via WiFi. You’ll be able to connect up to 5 devices at once (you’ll have to authorize them so that no one leeches off of your internets) to Sprint’s 3G or 4G network, depending on your area.

The case is actually a freebie from Sprint, if you buy one of their Overdrive routers. The router will set you back around $100 after a rebate and a new 2-year contract. You’ll also have to pay $60 a month for the service, which will get you 5GB of data. Yes, it’s more expensive than purchasing service on the iPad each month through AT&T, but some of us are already paying Sprint $60 just to connect our laptops. Kudos to them for seeing this opportunity and seizing it.
