After releasing a revised financial forecast for FY 2011 that predicts an annual .3 billion loss, its third in the last four years, NEC announced it will cut around 10,000 jobs. Bloomberg Businessweek reports President Nobuhiro Endo announced the cuts, revealing most of the cuts will come from the company’s mobile-phone handset business, with 7,000 of them expected to be in Japan. The company reportedly had 115,840 employees as of March so there should be a few folks left around to keep the lights on and maintain ventures like its new JV with NTT Docomo, Panasonic, Samsung and Fujitsu, the NEC Lenovo PC alliance, and its recently announced work on the Hayabusa 2 asteroid explorer. Still, we’ll have to wait and see how the cuts affect upcoming cellphones, like any potential successors to its super-slim MEDIAS N-04C seen above.

When we first learned of the Fujitsu IS12T, the world’s first handset sporting Windows Phone 7.5 “Mango,” it was rumored to be showing up in the second half of August. Our hopes were crushed, however, when the company officially stated that it should be available the following month “or beyond.” Sure, a September launch would still be on right on time (given Microsoft’s intent of releasing the update this fall), but wouldn’t it be nice to see something come out ahead of schedule? Chin up, folks — the Au KDDI store in Nishi-Kasai tweeted that the IS12T will be released this coming Thursday and is already accepting preorders. And there’s more to the story: even though Nanopho reports that multiple locations are busy taking reservations, Au’s official site is still sticking to its guns about the phone’s September release. Given the tug-of-war taking place between the stores and their corporate boss, next week may turn out to be quite interesting.

Fujitsu got to show off its recent color e-reader flossy flossy at the e-Book Expo Tokyo (the former Digital Publishing Fair) in Japan last week. Besting its previous market entry — the FLEPia Lite — this 8-inch, 157 dpi cholestric LCD module sheds both its predecessor’s weight and Windows OS for a 220 gram, Linux-operated, slimmed-down profile. While the 4,096 color range remains exactly the same, it’s the elimation of dithering from the display that’ll be brightening up your future literary experiences. Processing speed also got a significant makeover here, translating into 0.7 second writing speeds — a number the company promises will go down as full color capacity increases. Unfortunately, this slab of technicolor ebeauty doesn’t appear to be headed for a US debut, so interested parties should start saving for that import option. Robo-Brit voice-over video demonstration after the break.

Being that doomsday and the robotapocalypse are nearing quickly, now seems an appropriate time to gaze into the future of laptop design, right? Well, maybe those anomalies aren’t actually around the corner, but you know us — we always fancy a warm cup of concept tea. Designer Park Hyun Jin over at Yanko recently posted some renders of the Fujitsu Lifebook X2, a laptop that allows for two orientations thanks to its four folds. The design features a full QWERTY keyboard that can used when the notebook is folded out in full, as well as a half-folded option with an onscreen keyboard, pictured above. Naturally, we’d love for this concept design to become a reality, but we can’t wrap our brains around the seam between the two screens. Well actually, we could probably get used to it.

The beauty of technology nowadays is how quick it’s moving forward, it once was you might shell out a large amount on a high speed scanner for the office to be able to take care of all your document scanning daily. Now you can get a flat bed scanner or high speed document scanner for your workplace within most any budget.

Most of these document scanning devices can be found in a broad assortment and many of them are from long trusted brands, therefore it is not merely about a single choice, you’ll have several. The concept behind a document scanner is usually to be able to utilize it effortlessly, have it match your price range, and often, have the ability to multitask. Locating an excellent bargain on the best document scanner for your workplace is quite simple with the technological improvements and the coming of the web. Even in the present struggling economic times there are plenty of scanning devices from Canon, Fujitsu, Kodak, and Panasonic which can be found within many company budgets.

So before going out to purchase a low-cost document scanner at the nearby chain retailer, perform a little bit of homework. Document scanning devices can be found in such range that you may be overwhelmed at the store if you are not careful or, your store may simply have one brand and that particular one doesn’t perform what you need it to do.

It is possible to investigate on the internet along with look over testimonials of individuals who actually utilize the different document scanning devices on the market. This can allow you to discover not just the best about the product, but also just what might frustrate buyers. Keep in mind, no matter what, someone will likely be disappointed, so dismiss one or two disappointed customers, but take notice if there are many negative opinions.

Also on the market on the web might possibly be videos of how the numerous document scanning devices function and this can certainly help you in your overall final choice. Take a look at the different manufacture sites, get the dimensions of the document scanning devices, view just how simple it is to use, then figure out which is best for your personal document scanning requirements. Bear in mind those measurements, there’s a pretty good possibility you understand the spot where you want your scanner, you will want to be sure it fits.

Keep in mind that there are still heavy use machines that you could buy if you’re searching for heavy duty machines. Most of these document scanning devices are created to deal with excessively high scanning volumes, be more rugged, and usually are extremely fast with regards to scanning. They’re also usually bigger in proportions and somewhat more expensive.

If you are seeking a flatbed scanner I would recommend looking at the various models provided from Kodak. It’s fine if you don’t require the abilities provided in a flat bed scanner just perform a search on the internet for high speed scanning devices or Canon scanner if you’re searching for a great small yet fast scanner.

Remember: The most effective high speed document scanner or flat bed scanner for you as well as your workplace is one that will perform the jobs you want carried out, do it with a minimum of misused time, as well as, fits your budget. Don’t just purchase the 1st one you see, they are all a little bit unique. Be sure you get the best one for your document scanning chores, instead of the cheapest at your nearby chain store.

Document scanners are the best machines to help definitely make the task of organizing virtually any new or existing business less difficult. When I created my company in 2002 I didn’t believe there would be a need for a document scanner in my line of business. This particular thought in the future turned out to be untrue.

After staying in business for 2 years I had acquired a storage space full of filing cabinets and had to employ a full-time person in order to handle and organize the data files on a daily basis. I was confident there had to be a more simple approach to file forms and keep client records. Following a little investigating I revealed that there are numerous items designed to further streamline and organize my business.

Once I ultimately decided to make a scanner purchase, I actually found myself selecting between a Canon scanner and a Fujitsu scanner. I ultimately picked the Canon scanner given that they also had the perfect business card scanner to tidy up the exceptionally large stack of business cards occupying the majority of my top desk drawer. It really is remarkable the amount of business cards someone in an executive position can accumulate on a weekly cycle.

Even if you feel your firm doesn’t always have a need for a document scanner on a daily basis it wouldn’t hurt to have 1 around the company to help keep madness from happening. All things considered , the price tag isn’t too much to get a great document scanner and wouldn’t it be beneficial to possess the ability of scanning documents when the need comes up? Putting things off is human nature and can eventually result in a cluttered sloppy workplace so why not save yourself the headache and consider getting a scanner as a measure against potential chaos.

Document scanners are important in many corporations but a business card scanner is typically underestimated and dismissed since it is comparatively inexpensive compared to larger and faster high-speed production scanners utilized in enormous businesses every day for high quantity document scanning. There are many makers of business card scanners as well as numerous places to buy these scanners on the internet. Be certain to examine a wide range of sites to locate the absolute best value available. Also think about ordering your document scanner through an authorized reseller for the scanner manufacturer that you select. Ordering from an authorized reseller will assure that you receive the absolute best customer service through the buying process together with any continued support needs which will arise.
