See that row of cameras up there? A stately bunch, no doubt. It’s a shot from Nikon’s German website, and while the newly-announced D4 is shown, there’s a curious beast four units in from the left that we haven’t seen before. As The Verge and Nikon Rumors have astutely pointed out, that’s not a render of any current Nikon body, leaving the inquisitive among us wondering if it’s just an awkward image or an heretofore unannounced device. Naturally, all signs are pointing to the rumored D800, and given that the D700 could hardly be any longer in the tooth, it’s certainly possible that someone slipped up when polishing up ze website for the day after the D4′s launch. So, what say you? An improperly resized D700? Or the next-gen camera of your dreams?

Now a German website has got some crafty pics of the new handset, which have picked up by Crackberry and other sites, that definitely prove it has Wi-Fi on board.

Photos of the under wraps mobile of the moment, the LG BL40, have appeared on a German forum confirming some things we knew and some we didn’t. You can see from the shots that we have confirmation that this next Black Label phone is indeed sexy. The 21:9, 800 x 345 res screen is there for all to see. What we now know is that it’s got a 5-megapixel Schneider-Kruznach lens camera, 355MB of onboard storage (expandable by microSD), Wi-Fi and an FM transmitter. It’s of little surprise that it also runs on the S-Class operating system given what we’ve already witnessed in the promo video and LG’s push of the jury’s out software. Perhaps the most interesting news of all, though, is the image over the jump… …a sibling! What is this? Another Black Label Chocolate handset? A feature phone? One for the style conscious and function frightened? That’s my guess. Looks rather like a MP3 player too. With the BL40 set to launch next month, expect to be hearing more developments on a bi-weekly basis. Only a matter of time before a German website spills the beans.

O2 has confirmed that they will ban any users who use alternative methods to tether data with their iPhones. The tethering issue has become quite a sore point in the iPhone community since it was announced last week that O2 would only be allowing users to tether who pay for an additional bolt-on to their contracts. A German website was providing a link to a programme called Mobileconfigs which allows users to change the profile of their local carrier. This would mean that iPhone users could tether without having to go through the official channels – and therefore not pay any extra on their bill. Although the link doesn’t seem to be active at present, there are always going to developers who will look at ways of bypassing the tethering bolt-on charge. It seems that the tethering argument is set to run and run. Oh goody. (via ITProPortal)
