Let’s just get this out of the way, shall we? If the LG Spectrum looks familiar, you’re not imagining things. It may have been a highlight at the company’s CES press event last month, but the handset bears more than a passing resemblance to its older, more excitingly-named sibling, the LG Nitro HD — and, by extension, the globe-trotting Optimus LTE. Beneath their 4.5-inch IPS displays, you’ll find virtually identical guts, including a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1,830mAh battery and 4GB of internal storage, coupled with a 16GB microSD. There are some important distinctions here, of course — namely, changes to the phone’s shell and, of course, a shift from AT&T to Verizon. So, how does world-weary Optimus fare from its jump to Big Red? Find the answer past the break.

Well, that was quick. Mere hours after holding a press conference stating that it didn’t know when BlackBerry users would have their BBM, internet, and email working again, services have begun to come back online. Apparently email is up across the globe, as is BBM. Web browsing, however, continues to be “temporarily” unavailable to those on EMEIA networks in Europe, the Middle East, India, Africa and Latin America. There is of course a considerable backlog of messages to get through, but the good news is that all the BlackBerry bits and bytes are flowing freely once again. Hit the source link to get the info straight from the horse’s mouth.

No longer are you chained to absurd per-MB roaming charges or unecessary monthly plans. Instead, you can shell out £3-a-day (about ) for 30MB of data — which is plenty for checking e-mail and doing some light browsing. If you don’t use any data then you don’t get charged (sweet!), but go over that limit and you’re back to the normal £3.07-per-MB rate (not so sweet). It’s a perfect option for the traveler who only spends a week or two abroad at a time, and it closes the gap with fellow UK provider Vodafone, which offers a £2-per-day, 25MB option. Now, if only others (especially our friends here in the US) would offer sensible roaming plans of their own.

Ever since historic eras, man was fascinated with pottery. Pottery has evolved all through the years. Through pottery you can show your emotions through this and the end result would depend on how you feel. Other people believed that art pottery is such a dirty work because of the mud, the dirt but it’s all worth it when you notice the finish outcome of it.

Pottery employs the hands just similar to the statue making. It is also like cooking, it offers fulfillment to a few people. It releases happy hormones, an opinion seconded by a few scientists.

In Japanese pottery, it can be separated into four key categories: porcelain, earthenware, glazed and unglazed stoneware. These types of Japanese pottery existed since primitive period but it is now popularized all over the globe. Most of the pottery that is made in the country of Japan is used designed for realistic reasons like the plates, dishes, and vases. But the adornment of these pottery is still of high excellence. Over a hundred of years, the skill of making porcelain and making pottery has been refined and mastered.

One of the well-liked styles of Japanese pottery is the Satsuma pottery. This pottery is made of brown mud originate in Satsuma province in Japan. Some pronounces it is a cross between porcelain and pottery because it employs a low temperature. The markings of this pottery are the creamy in shade and its crackled glaze.

Another types of pottery is the Arita pottery, it is made with white and blue porcelain. The piece of this pottery is colorless in shade but employs an ink of blue under glaze. Often times, it is ornamented with Godly figures and outstanding people.

Another kind is the Imari pottery; it is named after the harbor in close proximity to the Arita. It is given due to the information that the harbor was used to export pottery all over the globe.

These are some of the pottery types made in Japan, so if you are going to purchase porcelain and pottery you will never go wrong with a Japanese pottery.

We’re big fans of charming, ungainly Solar Impulse, and of Captain Bertrand Piccard and Andre Borschberg’s quest to circumnavigate the globe in a solar-powered plane. In case you missed the live stream: the Swiss flier just got a little closer to that goal by completing its first international flight, taking off near Berne, Switzerland and landing in Brussels, Belgium, just under 13 hours later. That’s half the flight time of an earlier test, in which the craft’s 200-foot wingspan, covered with 12,000 photovoltaic solar cells, kept it aloft for 26 hours. Of course, a controlled test flight is one thing — making solar-powered flight commercially viable means proving your plane can successfully navigate busy airspace. To see Solar Impulse come in for a smooth landing, peep the video after the break.
