Posted by on Monday, 25 May, 2009

Which factors determine whether you can buy used cars cheap or not? I these financial crisis days there are especially two kinds of vehicles standing out. These are:

- Cars that get poor fuel mileage
- Cars that can be described as toys rather than vehicles.

Well, the first mentioned kind of cars pretty obvious. The second kind of Cheap used cars is also easy to understand if you take a trip to your local pawnshop and see all the jacked-up SUVs, sports cars with aftermarket turbocharger, Harleys, modified Camaros etc.

These cars are not normally cheap but if you buy them now you can get them at a price far below their listed value and probably sell them in the near future for their ‘normal’ price. Estimates say that more than 40 percent of the increase in gasoline price is a direct aftermath of the dollar devaluation. Moreover, there are other estimates that show gas prices will drop even as much as below $3 per gallon in relatively near future and that’s the reason the cars mentioned above will go back to the price they normally have.
