Previously Owned Vehicles For Sale – Tips and Hints for Previously Owned Car Shopping

Posted by on Tuesday, 15 March, 2011

I’m a shopoholic. I love looking for anything and everything. I don’t have to buy anything to have a good shopping trip. I’m content looking. I enjoy grocery shopping as well as garments and shoe shopping. There have been times in my life where I have wished that I could be a professional shopper. I think this is something that I will look in to doing for a part-time retirement job. It would be enjoyable to go get food for people who can not get out, or to bring them shopping if they don’t have transport.

Even though I love to shop there is one thing I can not stand to do, search for used cars. When it comes to used cars for sale I want nothing to do with shopping. I have had a few bad experiences in buying used cars and since that time I have disliked looking for previously owned autos. I put a whole lot of miles on my autos so regrettably I need to buy autos more often than I would prefer. Most times I have my husband search with me so that I’m getting solid advice about a motor vehicle.

I was searching for another motor vehicle and I was complaining about having to look at previously owned autos for sale. One of my employees told me about looking up previously owned autos on the net. My first response was that I did not wish to drive all over the place discovering a motor vehicle. He told me that this was not necessary. You can go on numerous different previously owned motor vehicle sites on the net and type in what you are looking for and to what area you are willing to go to find it. A list of previously owned autos for sale will come up for that area.

I thought this sounded too good to be true. I went on one of the sites on the net. I filled in the boxes that asked what cost range I was focused on, what make and model and how many miles on the motor vehicle. I could be as general or specific as I wished to be. I was then asked to type in my zip code and what mile radius I was willing to go from that zip code. I entered all of the facts and found three autos in the area that met the criteria that I entered. One was for sale by owner while the other two were at dealerships. I called the individual to make arrangements to see the motor vehicle.

My husband and I went and looked at the autos that were at the dealerships. We then went and looked at the motor vehicle from the individual. The person who had the motor vehicle had kept great maintenance logs and the motor vehicle had extremely low miles on it. There was a small dent on the rear fender; otherwise the motor vehicle was in great shape. We got the motor vehicle and made plans to switch over the title the following day. It was the smoothest process I had ever been involved with when buying a motor vehicle.

Grocery Shopping in Switzerland

Posted by on Monday, 21 June, 2010

I got asked to stop filming!!! Hahahah….must be more stealthy next time although that’s kind of hard with the big open spaces and staff members everywhere. Just a note, this is a really big store – most grocery stores here are not quite as big as this but many metropolitan areas have one or two of these megastores where you can also find a restaurant, a phone store, electronics, home hardware and a drugstore beside the grocery. Something I didn’t address: the prices. Food prices in Switzerland are among the highest in all of Europe, for example much higher than in neighbouring countries like Germany or France. However, the quality of the food is in some ways also higher. Much of the meat comes from Swiss farms, and although the cost of having livestock in an expensive country like Switzerland is exorbitant, the quality of the meat is also really amazing. Organic food is very popular in Switzerland with usually a very large assortment available at all the big chain grocers. All organic food must be officially certified by an independent commission, and the criteria for becoming an organic farmer are very stringent. Swiss people in general care a lot about their food, where it comes from, the quality of the meat and produce, and the conditions the animals live in. However, all this comes at a pretty hefty price. Sometimes I wish food was cheaper and that Switzerland allowed more foreign imports to bring down prices, but on the other hand I think it is great that

The Tweeting Teakettle Has Gone Too Far

Twettlefront-thumb-550x373-36739

I’ll be the first to admit that I hate Twitter. Much like the constant MySpace and Facebook updates that people made before, most tweets are of mundane activities such as grocery shopping and bathroom activities. Well now we can look forward to automated tea-time tweets thanks to this gadget.

This stylish looking teakettle has a sinister secret. Instead of whistling to let you know that it’s ready, it will send out a tweet via WiFi. Really? Have we become so reliant upon technology that we have to have our phone or computer inform us that our tea is ready? Thankfully these guys still need a bit of funding before this technological atrocity is released to the general public. They’re currently aiming for a retail price of around $115.
