Since gadgets are dedicated for a lot of different utilities let us see what the new security gadgets can do. Everybody knows that driving drunk is not only an illegal thing but you are exposed to many dangers like accidents which can produce severe injuries. Well, if you are leaving a party and are worried about how much you’ve been drinking, you can buy the Pocket Breath Analyzer which will tell you exactly where you’re standing.

Even if this gadget is very small (you can use it as a key ring) it will still give you precise results. It has a special sensor (just like the one used on the police devices) capable to detect between .01 and 12% BAC. As we said, you can attach it to your keys or simply put it in your pocket and use it every time you need.

It’s proven that a burglar spends less than five minutes inside a victim’s house and checks only the most obvious places where a man can store valuables. An interesting gadget which will keep you some precious objects away from burglar’s eyes is the Hidden Wall Safe. In fact, this safe is a wall outlet. These unique safes allow you to hide several valuables inside of one of the last places where a burglar will look. These wall safes are a hundred times cheaper and better than a classic safe.

If you are one of those people that leave there keys under a door mat or under a rock in the yard because you are afraid to lose it, a key lock box can be an ingenious home security move. The Master Lock Key Storage Box can be mounted on any wall and can store in safe a maximum of five keys. The only thing that you have to do is that when you first program it you will need to choose a combination (password). This key lock box is made of steel and has the resistance of a lock safe, so pay attention not to forget the password.

If you are looking for a cheap home security camera, the Lorex High Resolution Day / Night security camera is the best choice. This indoor / outdoor camera has a high resolution sensor (1 / 3” CCD with 470 lines of resolution) color picture by day. For night-recording, it has 30 infrared LED emitters which will allow you to see what’s happening around your home even in low light conditions. With a weatherproof design, it will work even if it’s raining or snowing outside.  The security camera can be mounted on any wall and the installation process is very simple. It also comes with a sunshade which helps record under powerful sunlight and it keeps rain away from hitting the lens.

In our days, there are a lot of new security gadgets, each being capable of keeping your most valuable objects safely or protecting you against dangers. You simply need to search the type of object what you need and you will certainly not be disappointed.

D-Link now has thingamajigs that will remotely monitor your house for security breaches. Amazing.

dlinkm

And now D-Link is in the home security business. The company, of whose router I bought several months ago and fight to use on a daily basis (seriously, the Internet just cuts out at times… what are you gonna do?), has just announced a series of home monitoring devices, including the Home Monitoring Starter Kit ($149). One device plugs into your router, and then you place a series of wireless motion sensors around the house in strategic areas (doors, windows, etc.). The sensors then send alert the device, which can then text message you, send you an e-mail, etc. something like, “Hey, the kids are home.”

Of course, all of the data is remotely accessible via a special Web site D-Link has set up at mydlink.com.

There’s also Home Energy Monitoring Starter Kit ($99). Once all set up, you can remotely control the various devices in your home. Left the TV on? The PC? You get the idea.

I save he best for last. There’s the 3G Door Phone ($199). It’s a doorbell, right, but inside is a built-in 0.1 megapixel camera that can send photos and video to your 3G cellphone. This is helpful if you, say, are a very rich man in the year 1212 and are afraid that the serfs will revolt. But until I see otherwise, this is clearly the best thing I’ve heard/read/ about it at this year’s CES if only because it’s 100 percent. Who the heck needs a doorbell spy? How bad is your neighborhood?

All three of these guys will be available in the second quarter of this year.

Europe's biggest and most heard of technology/electronics expo is upon us. The expo is well known for making big announcements to the technology world and I bet that this year will be no different from the last. This could be anything from surveillance equipment to new computer game consoles – The expo literally has it all! This year the show will be in Berlin, Germany and there are rumours of Phillips, Sony, Toshiba and Samsung to be there making some big revelations from new TVs to Blu-Ray players and walkmans.

Showcasing technology is one thing but the IFA also goes out of it's way to showcase the latest eco-friendly software, hardware and gadgets too. You will be able to see prototype products being tested and previews of the latest gadgets to hand. You will be priveledged to see some other smaller companies showcasing their latest technology. You could get to see anything from new night vision technology to the latest gadgets to improve on audio surveillance. The event starts on Friday 4th September so hurry up and get a ticket if you are interested in attending.

In 2008 the expo proved to be a massive success with the spectacle being around the latest Samsung Jet phone which was released a little earlier this year. It was designed to rival the iphone and I think it has real potential. As the internet and television are so closely linked in with eachother you will definetly see some crazy gadgets linked in with the latest 3G technology. This year we have just seen the release of the 3G iphone which has completely blown people away with its endless capabilities on the net.

So, it would be worth it to keep an eye on the expo this year as there un-doubtedly going to be some awesome gadgets and gizmos out there for everyone!
