Facts Regarding Camping, Do You Go Camping By Walking, Hiking, Biking Or Your Automobile?

Posted by on Saturday, 26 June, 2010

It is summertime and many folks are ready to go camping anywhere and everywhere, whether they have to walk there, back pack in, or even bike riding; you would be surprised how many people load up there backpack and tie up their pad or pup tent on the rack on their bicycles and head out. Especially in groups of well seasoned riders, if you are well accustomed to this grueling type of outings then this would be for you; set a destination and go and go as far as you would like and as far as your little legs will peddle, peddle, peddle. But for most we will load up our car or truck and probably take everything but the kitchen sink, including portable T.V.’s and stereo’s (yuck) how disgusting, but people do it all of the time; it is really good if you have a smaller vehicle that is really good on gas and is excellent in getting in the back roads. Most of the better ones would be those little undersized Toyota trucks, they are awesome for getting around like that and for your search for one maybe try Toyota dealers Long Island before you decide to load up the tent, if you can’t find it then just search for Toyota Long Island; or if the one you already needs a little work or some healthy tune-ups like most do then fix it filler up with gas and go.

Camping can be exciting adventure even if you are all by yourself, many go with the family or even two or three couples; when it comes to a good old camping trip it doesn’t much matter, it’s all good company and good clean fun. How about catch’n some fish while you are there, wow a nice fresh trout for dinner right on the open camp fire; how come everything taste so good when you cook it over an open fire?

When you go camping do you have special treats that you normally take, that maybe it was started with your family when you were a little child; maybe like smores this seems to be an all time favorite, things don’t have to be fancy they need to be comfortable and easy because you are going camping to relax not to do a lot of extra work. Grab some burgers, cheese, buns, chips, soda or water, stuff for your little treats, and of course bacon and eggs just gotta make bacon and eggs during the great wild, it smells so good.

Take your fun stuff including your fishing pole, remember the night crawlers whatever you do, enjoy a good boat ride or a nice hike or bike ride; there is just so much for so many different people. Do you like to camp on the beach, off the shore area or are you a woodsy type of person or both, hey camping is camping; just change a little gear and get into a different mode and your there.

Just go and have yourself and your family a wonderful little trip and make the best of it no matter where you decide to go or how you get there because that is all the fun of it, doing it your way.

Meizu M9: iPhone HD Plus The Kitchen Sink
It is a strange day when Chinese knock-offs start to roll out that are more feature rich than the device they ape. Take the Meizu M9 iPhone clone. This gadget not only looks great, it has the hardware to back that pretty face up. PMP Today reports that the…

Lack of Demand Killed the Radio Star

Posted by on Thursday, 28 January, 2010

A complaint I’ve seen about the Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 and the Google Nexus One is that neither phone comes with a radio. The problem is that no one really cares.

Manufacturers still cram as many features into their gadgets as possible, especially if it helps makes the premium price of high-end devices more palatable. But now that makers are learning from their first several attempts at capturing the kitchen-sink market—a group that’s willing to pay good money for a phone—they (at least Google and Sony Ericsson) have decided that it’s not really worth engineering radio hardware into their future devices.

I love my Nokia N97 because it can do anything, and yes, it’s also radio. But I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve used that feature, since I started using the phone. If I’m the norm, then it’s reasonable to assume that many others rarely use their phone’s built-in radios as well, right? Especially when we can buy the songs we want, sort them into playlists, and hear the music we want, when we want it?

I’m assuming both HTC/Google and Sony Ericsson have some pretty solid market research to back-up this decision, and that the general lack of uproar over the “missing” feature validates this. But what about you, dear readers? For those who have radios integrated into their phones, how often have you used them? Be honest!

The Google Phone: In case you were sleeping the whole day yesterday, here’s everything you need to know about the Nexus One.

What is the Nexus One?

It’s the latest phone running Google’s Android OS. Designed by Google and HTC, the Nexus One will showcase the full extent of the platform’s capabilities, according to Google.

What’s New About This Phone?

Online buzz for this phone was and continues to be very significant. Other than having lots of features and a very responsive interface, the Nexus One can also recognize voices. On practically any text box, users can speak instead of typing in words, potentially making up for the lack of a physical keyboard.

What are the Specs?

With a built-in 1GHz Snapdragon processor, a 480 x 800 AMOLED display, a 5 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, 802.11n WiFi, GPS, a 3.5mm earphone jack, and even a compass, the Nexus One has all the bells and whistles suitable for a kitchen sink phone—and it promises to be easy for anyone to use. The 1400mAh will hopefully allow the phone to last more than 24 hours of normal use, while the integrated accelerometer promises some tilting action. Here’s a spec sheet below—click for a full-size version:

Shipping is free, but only with continental USA.

I Don’t Believe You!

LG announces GW820 ‘eXpo’ smartphone w/ 1GHz processor and optional projector

Posted by on Monday, 30 November, 2009

LG has announced a new Windows Mobile 6.5-based smartphone, the eXpo. But unlike other 6.5 smarties on the market, the newest member of the LG family is packing just about everything but the kitchen sink including a 1GHz processor, a built-in fingerprint sensor, and an optional Pico Projector. Maybe they should have named it the LG SwissArmy Knife Phone.
