There is no question that Mozart was a prodigy as his aptitude for composition surpasses anything that everybody else has ever done. He was gifted to study to play the piano at the age of three and was writing his own work by the time he was four. A large amount parents can simply picture having a boy that intelligent. The concept branded as the Mozart effect has been around for a very long time. This is the premise that exposing kids to his music will cause them to be impressively intelligent as well.

Earlier doctors have also been documented as having patients with mental disorders hear Mozart’s music. It was thought it would assist them to cultivate the skills they required to overpower their illnesses. Some early reports suggested that kids in a educational atmosphere could develop their IQ by listening to classical music. It wasn’t long after this that parents and schools were buying Mozart to expose their kids to.

Some argue this is all entirely wishful , marketed by (numerous|countless} big corporations and home business operators, but there is significant research to imply that listening to music can sooth the body and the mind. Is this the link that can assist a person to relax a sufficient amount to focus on what is occurring? It is assumed that listening to Mozart can help a person to build up better listening skills. This is due to the diverse pitches that arise during the music.

Analysis that directly exposes kids to Mozart music and then tests them indicates that they do experience a temporary increase in their skills. This is supposed to be due to the conditions changing. Because there is a comforting type of stimulus occurring they are able to unwind. This allows them to focus more on the task at hand.

It is also thought that exposing children to Mozart can help them develop more patience and the capacity to sit for longer periods of time. For these reasons many schools have implemented programs to expose the kids to around 15 minutes of Mozart every day. However the overall effects of Mozart are even now debated. Some individuals actually want to believe in it but some of the research out there indicates there aren’t any certifiable benefits.

Back when I was a kid, vinyl records were the vehicle used by diehard music lovers to listen to their favorite songs. Eight tracks were going out of style really quickly and the latest thing was the cassette tape. Even with the passing of the eight tracks and the appearance of the cassette tape, scores of music lovers, such as matt nathanson, stuck to the long-established vinyl records for their listening enjoyment.

We have come a long way since the hay day of vinyl records. CDs are all the rage now with good reason. The audio quality is truly pure and you almost feel as if you are in a sound-proof room when you focus your listening skills on the CD player. You can simply sit back with an xs energy drink and enjoy the songs. The clean sounds are a big improvement from the vinyl records that crackled as they played.

However, it is that crackling sound that is only offered by the vinyl records that I find so pleasing. There is something about that sound that is so fun to listen to especially when I’m in a wistful mood. Maybe it is because the crackling sound is tied so intimately to the songs I loved when I was a young person. I just can’t seem to separate the two.

I discovered my love for the one of a kind antique sounds of the crackling vinyl records accidentally. A close friend of mine offered free disc jockey services for my wedding. Of course I did not refuse the nice wedding gift. There was a catch. My friend plays vinyl records, nothing else.

This was not actually a hindrance for me. I wanted to forego all of the stylish pop-chart music of today and focus on older dance music and classic songs available on vinyl records. My friend started playing dinner songs at the reception. He chose traditional Irish music for the wedding meal. It’s not hot new music, but it’s pretty.

The entire reception hall fell silent during the prayer. Once the prayer ended, the DJ placed the needle on the record and the quiet room filled with soft crackling sounds followed by lovely Irish music. The transition was magnificent and the memory of the moment the crackling sounds overtook the reception hall still gives me chills. You simply could not duplicate that with a compact disc.

Technologically, we have come a long way when it comes to music. However, we should not altogether let go of the little gems from our past. The haunting sounds of the crackling vinyl records help us truly touch the past even if for just a flash.

A recent review of the national curriculum for England's primary school has determined that IT and technology should be a brand new centre piece, given equal time to core subjects such as English and Maths.

Former chief inspector of schools, Jim Rose has made a number of recommendations including a new focus on speaking and listening skills. He also said that children should be able to start school in the September after their fourth birthday. The report was commissioned amongst fears that school timetables had become too ‘cluttered’ has stressed the importance of computers in schools and in internet use in particular being ingrained into the curriculum from an early age.

This focus on the importance of the use of IT and computers in schools was brought to light in early April when the new proposals were misinterpreted by many media outlets as ‘teaching Twitter in schools’.The real plans aim to educate children in various aspects of computer usage, from computer presentations to podcasting.

In this interim report, Sir Jim has suggested that there should be six broader areas of learning as opposed to up to 14 more traditional individual subjects such as history, geography and science.

The underlying train of thought is that if ICT in schools was ignored, a generation of children not versed in all things digital could emerge. It is the opinion of many that this would be detrimental to an economy that relies heavily on the IT and digital sectors.

Teaching unions have been welcoming of the proposed changes, the most radical shake up of the curriculum in 20 years, but have continued to criticize the curriculums seeming and apparent overreliance on testing of children. Some MPs have also welcomed the changes provided that they weren't brought in at the expense of 'dumbing down' the curriculumm, insisting that the proposals shouldn't prioritize 'headline grabbing gimmicks' at the expense of bettering children's education.
