Though it may be two and a half years of age,Xbox 360 pro system game console nonetheless delivers the best graphics even though it is 12 months older than its two competitors, Nintendo’s Wii and Sony’s Ps3, and it has the largest sport selection. Because of its relative age, you are able to also locate the Xbox 360 at a good price these days. With help for 1080p resolution, you will end up impressed through the unprecedented quantity of realism in video games such as the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and Fallout three. In case you are still undecided, the benefits the following should be plenty of to persuade you that the Xbox 360 game console is superior for the Ps3 and Wii.

The price to be able to Performance Ratio

The Wii will be the most affordable console on the market today, but it falls short of the visual capabilities and blockbuster sport selection that the Xbox 360 pro game console enjoys. Add to that the fact that you can buy the entry model of the Xbox 360, or arcade version, for approximately the price tag on the Wii, and the only reason that you might want to select the Wii could be for some great titles like Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Resident Evil 4. However, there are many video games not available for that Wii than for it, and so the option relies on your style of video games. The Ps3 resembles the Xbox 360 game console with regards to graphics, even though its sport selection is even worse compared to the Wii’s. The majority of the video games available for that Ps3 can also be found for that Xbox 360, just about the most notable exceptions being Metal Gear Solid 4. Among the primary reasons to get the Ps3 is for its BD push able to play next-generation Blu-ray discs, although that is more inviting for that high definition films than for that video games.

If you wish to obtain the full package, then turn towards the Xbox 360 premium console. You’ll pay $50 more, although you will receive Netflix help, backwards compatibility with most original Xbox games, plus a decent 60 Gb hard disk. Netflix will help you to rent films by where you download them for the hard disk, and you’ll be able to watch them over the course of a couple of days by yourself time. With all the Xbox 360′s DVD playback, audio CD, and Web capabilities, viewers the Xbox 360 game console can be a home theater in one package. With all the largest sport selection out out of all the next gen systems as well as the greatest graphics lacking multi-thousand dollar PCs, the Xbox 360 game console is the greatest value for its price between the Wii and Ps3.

That 40/40 score means that four Famitsu editors rated Peace Walker with 10/10, the first time for a PSP title ever. Maker Konami plans to ship the game in the US on June 8 (see cover art above) and in Europe on June. The Japanese version will be released as early as April 29.

All four editors who tested the game gave 10 points out of 10, resulting in a perfect 40/40 score.

New Super Mario Bros. is already the fourth game in 2009 to get a 40/40 rating, even though until 2007 the magazine was well-known for not giving away this score easily. But the perfect rating isn’t that surprising, as the game seems to be really that good and many reviewers outside Japan gave it the thumbs up already.

Here is a time line for all of Famitsu’s 40/40-games so far:

Japan's biggest gaming publication, the Famitsu, has rewarded another RPG for a Nintendo system with a perfect rating today. After giving Dragon Quest IX 40 out of 40 possible points, all four Famitsu editors testing Monster Hunter 3 (aka Monster Hunter Tri) think it's worth receiving 10s from each reviewer, too.

Japan’s biggest gaming publication, the Famitsu, has rewarded another RPG for a Nintendo system with a perfect rating today. After giving Dragon Quest IX 40 out of 40 possible points, all four Famitsu editors testing Monster Hunter 3 (aka Monster Hunter Tri) think it’s worth receiving 10s from each reviewer, too.

It’s not really surprising. The Monster Hunter brand is huge in Japan. But no game of the series has ever made its way to America or Europe. Capcom will release Tri in these territories, however (in “early 2010″).

Famitsu is known for being very cautious when it comes to giving perfect ratings. Here is a time line for all 40/40-games so far:

1. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (1998, for Nintendo 64)
2. Soul Calibur (1999, for Dreamcast)
3. Vagrant Story (2000, for PlayStation)
4. The Legend of Zelda – The Wind Waker (2003, for GameCube)
5. Nintendogs (2005, for the DS)
6. Final Fantasy XII (2006, for PlayStation 2)
7. Super Smash Bros. Brawl (2008, for the Wii)
8. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (2008, for PlayStation 3)
9. 428: Fusasareta Shibuya de (2008, for the Wii)
10. Dragon Quest IX (2009, for the DS)
11. Monster Hunter Tri

Here is a Monster Hunter Tri demo from the finished game:

Japan’s (and probably the world’s) most renowned gaming magazine, the Famitsu [JP], has given Square Enix’s RPG Dragon Quest IX a perfect score in the latest issue. All four editors who tested the game gave 10 points out of 10, resulting in a 40/40 score.

The magazine says the music and the multiplayer mode are outstanding, and said the game can trigger deep emotions in the player. Dragon Quest is a household name in Japan, with the ninth installment having shipped 3 million units since its release in Nippon just last Saturday.

Other games that received a perfect score from Famitsu include Metal Gear Solid 4 back in June last year, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the N64 and Vagrant Story for the PS.
Maybe Sony is beginning to change their mind about the PS3's punishing pricing strategy? This leaked Best Buy bundle, said to be available next Sunday, nets you a PS3, Killzone 2, and Metal Gear Solid 4 for the current price of the console alone.

That's a slap in the face for anyone that bought an 80GB PS3 in the last month, but let's be honest: how many of them can there really be?

That’s a slap in the face for anyone that bought an 80GB PS3 in the last month, but let’s be honest: how many of them can there really be?

If you decide to take Sony up on this bargain, keep in mind there’s a good reason they’re offloading all these units: a new slim PS3 is incoming, possibly even this month, and the prices are all moving downward. So if you’re the patient type, just hang on a little longer and you may be able to get even more for your money. This is a pretty good deal as it stands, though.

Metal Gear Solid Rising won't be using the Metal Gear Solid 4 game engine to help Kojima Productions save some cash. Instead, the game's developer plans to build the title "from scratch" to ensure that it's as beautiful as possible.

"We're redoing the engine from scratch, and it's going to look amazing," Sean Eyestone, the host of the Kojima Productions podcast, said in a recent episode. "It's going to be a big project like Metal Gear Solid 4. The entire team is serious about making it look as good as possible on every platform."

As a Metal Gear fan since the beginning, I really like the series. There's something enchanting about Solid Snake, Liquid Ocelot, Big Boss, and all the other characters that make up the story. But I'm deeply concerned by Kojima Productions' focus on the beauty of the Metal Gear series instead of the content of the games. For years now, the franchise's individual titles have been preachy and long-winded.

We don't need better graphics from Hideo Kojima and his team; we need better writing.

Will Metal Gear Solid be the big news story to come out of E3 this year? Konami is certainly doing its best to feed the hype monster, unnecessary beast that it is, what with this countdown timer it just published. And, of course, as soon as someone publishes a countdown timer, someone else has to deconstruct the flash file(s), ruining the surprise. Long story short: there’s five (5!) countdown clocks, and the first one expires on June 1, the same date as Microsoft’s E3 press conference. So let’s speculate!

That first one, the June 1 date, is obviously an allusion to Metal Gear for the Xbox 360 in some capacity. Now is that Metal Gear Solid 4, or some other game?

Second, the page contains all sorts of keywords such as “MGS” and “NEXT.” That means whatever it is you want it to mean; in the meantime, I’ll continue to listen to a FLAC of Armand Van Helden’s “Mother Earth” on loop, spinning uncontrollably.

There’s also references to “April 2007.” I asked my brother, who’s something of a Metal Gear fan, if that means anything in the series’ lore, and he said, “I don’t know, Metal Gear is hard to follow.” Maybe one of you might know?

Never mind the gigantic “5” that’s visible in the storm clouds. That’s probably just a coding error.

So here’s to 12 days of Metal Gear hype. Lovely.
