The Wisdom Of Walt Disney

Posted by on Monday, 2 May, 2011

Through historical past there have been some amazing persons whose words continue to be as remarkable nowadays, as they were in the past; interestingly a number of Disney quotes are known to be amongst all of the wisdom.

Off the top of your head you may be able to quote a number of Disney films, and for many of them you would even be able to quotes lines from different characters. Would is be unexpected to you to consider that lots of those Disney quotes are as applicable today, as they were when they were spoken?

Think about the Walt Disney quotes like; “How could I be so stupid?” This could easily ruin the business!” taken from Monsters Corporation. aren’t an excellent illustration of Disney quotes we ought to consider, being the state of the economy throughout the first part of the twenty-first century. However “Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming” might be more appropriate. What do we still do? We swim, and swim, and swim, are you my conscience?” from Finding Nemo, seems to match perfectly with the times.

Walt Disney was a man way ahead of most contemporaries, with his futuristic ideas, and his clear understanding of people, evident in the theme parks he made. A great number of Walt Disney quotes highlight the insight of the man.
Although he is not responsible for writing the great classics that come out of the Disney studios, anyone that has had the time to read various original versions, will agree that they have all been altered substantially. A lot of the classic lines not present in the original stories. It is very clear that a lot of the great Disney quotes would never have been there if he had not approved of what they stood for.

If you are lucky enough to be old enough to remember when Walt Disney would present the stories of his weekly shows, and then talk at the end of the show as well, you will also know that there have been numerous Disney quotes which are less known, and seem to have been buried in time. Just because these less memorable Disney quotes are not in the pictures, they have just as much importance.

In the future then, whenever you find yourself in hysterics watching Donald Duck’s latest slip ups, or you are listening intently to the words Merlin spoke in “The Sword and The Stone”, have a closer listen to the great Disney quotes and see how closely they may apply to your own life.

So, if I may quote a wise man by stating “When you go after honey with a balloon, a great thing is not to let the bees know you are coming.”

If you have noticed that the world doesn’t owe you a living, and want one of these brilliant Disney quotes that will serve you well in the foreseeable future, then look no further than ‘First rule of leadership: everything is your fault.’ A lot of firms in the 2000′s seemed to ignore that certain; it might be nice to think that Walt Disney understood what was going to be coming, and that somehow filtered down through the ages to the writers of ‘Finding Nemo’.
Oh, why the Winnie the Pooh quote? Because too often in our life, we let the bees know we’re coming.

Kinect hacks, performance art edition: pin boards, puppets and RoboThespians

Posted by on Saturday, 5 March, 2011
Tired of Kinect hacks yet? We hope not, as the frequency and ingenuity of them only seems to be increasing with each passing week. The three in this latest group all fall more or less under the banner of performance art, and include two hacks that let you control two very different avatars — a virtual puppet in the “We Be Monsters” project and the very real “RoboThespian” — as well one that creates a virtual pin board that’s perfect for your next rave. If the RoboThespian looks a little familiar, it’s because it’s actually been in development since 2005, but it recently got a Kinect-enhanced upgrade for its appearance at CeBIT this month. Head on past the break for videos of all three hacks in action, and hit up the links below for some additional details.
