High-Quality Electronic Gadgets and also Ted Kaczynski’s Misinterpreted Genius

So I designed a music workstation computer in February. Intel Quad core, three hard drives, 4 gigs of RAM. Last week or so ago, it takes a dump. After trying to fix it, I mail the mother board in. 2 weeks afterward (yesterday) it comes back. Same issue. So they give me a new RMA and so I need to mail it in again.

I won a Sony Playstation Portable at a trade show this past year. American Airlines apparently decided to drop an anvil or something on my suitcase so it broke the LCD. Called Sony, shipped us a carton and for $80 they’ll send us a restored one – no repair. The refurbished one showed up and the optical disk drive doesn’t function. Mailing out yet another carton to mail that one in.

Download a ‘what is blogging and how does it work‘ tutorial utilizing my fairly new Dell notebook and the battery manages to lose its charge at about twenty minutes. Phone Dell, speak to a person I can’t understand and tells me their battery packs have absolutely no warranty…I think that’s what he said.

Got a new Logitech Harmony remote control. My daughter knocks my cup of water onto it. So now it burns up its battery power in one day. No repair service option.

Blackberry started shutting off last week right after phone calls and won’t start up except if I plug it in. Took it to two AT&T stores yesterday – no capability to diagnose at all. Go to the Apple store, thinking possibly I just get an iPhone. None in stock. If I want one, line up at 7am the next day for the special 8am opening just for iPhone purchases that’s been happening for a month.

Forget it, no chance I’m getting that close to those Apple nutjobs. Buy a brand-new battery for the Blackberry, but they must order it due to the fact nobody carries Blackberry Curve batteries (?!?). Receive a note today that the battery is backordered. Guess my mobile blogging will have to wait…

I got myself this “Invisible Shield” case for my iPod and Blackberry. Thin sheets of plastic you apply to safeguard them. Put it on the iPod, click wheel will no longer work. Argue with them and they will take absolutely no responsibility. Can’t repair iPod because it’s outdated and they no longer repair those iPods. But Apple will offer me 10% off the purchase of a new one! You know where they can put that apple.

Start using my wife’s iPod, yet another device I won at the office and then that breaks. Disk drive. Don’t manufacture those particular hard drives any more. So I open both iPods and trade hard drives for one functioning iPod. That’s my best tech tale this year. Yay!.

Montana. Log cabin. Lantern. Pen and paper. I’m sure I have a manifesto inside me.

I hope my brother Kenneth doesn’t turn me in.

PC Hardware Scan-The dynamics of a PC Hardware Scan

Posted by on Tuesday, 7 July, 2009

In this age of internet it has become very easy to know about the specifications of your pc by getting a pc hardware scan.
Many people wonder about the extent to which information is extracted during a pc hardware scan. Some people argue that it is possible for the websites to extract personal information during the process. but this is a misconception and does not hold true. The scan program does not collect any personal information or any sensitive information regarding the security of the computer system. Then it will tell about the version of the Direct X and locale of the Operating System. Then it will proceed to the BIOS and the mother board telling its manufacturer and model. It will also give you a complete picture of the processors and the memory. For example it will tell the number of processors, maximum clock speed, the sockets and the versions of the respective processors. But if you want to switch from one hardware scan program to the other then you will have to uninstall the previously installed program first. If you do not do it then several software clash problems will arise in your computer systems that are hard to deal with. Sometimes some users face difficulty in successfully installing a pc hardware scan program. This is because they have a firewall or some security software that does not allow any more software installations. To deal with problems one has to check the security and firewall settings and alter those to get the desired program installed. There is another concern raised by many people that after installing a pc hardware scan program they do not see the CIS or the Center for Internet Security Benchmark. It will also scan through the video devices and the several different cards (such as sound and graphic cards etc.) of the system. It will quote the color depth, resolution, refresh and flicker rate of the video devices. Other than these things the scan program will scan through the pointing devices (mouse or joy stick etc.), optical devices, printers and CD Rom of the system and will give their specifications. You will also be provided information about the networking of your system. For example your will be told about your IP address, default gateway, primary DNS, firewalls and the subnet mask.To get a PC Hardware Scan I recommend the users to try the Registry Easy. It is very proficient and reliable software and their web site too is very informative. Check it out by yourself.

PC Hardware Scan-Getting a PC Hardware Scan

Posted by on Tuesday, 7 July, 2009

If you want to get a profile of the hardware and the software installed on your PC then you need to get a pc hardware scan. It is simple, straight forward and quick.
The pc hardware scan gives you a detailed information page that’s has the lists about the installed hardware, software, BIOS, mother board, anti viruses, sound cards, graphic cards and the CIS benchmarks. It displays the results in the web browser window. The first question that is raised about these programs is about the security of these programs. Some companies keep the information of your PC on their servers, while others do not save it any where. The space it usually requires ranges from 2000 KB to 1 GB, depending on the manufacturer. Almost all such programs do fine on the latest versions of the Internet Explorer, Netscape, Opera, Firefox and Mozilla. However most of these products are licensed to be used for personal computers only. And the good thing is that mostly they are free. But if you want to switch from one hardware scan program to the other then you will have to uninstall the previously installed program first. If you do not do it then several software clash problems will arise in your computer systems that are hard to deal with. Many people have raised concerns about the security of the pc hardware scan programs. It is a good practice if you thoroughly check the privacy policy of the product you want to install and run. Some companies do not save your information any where. While others keep it on their servers and assign a specific URL to it that only you would know. Many people admire pc hardware scan programs but worry about how safe are they? In my opinion most of the pc hardware scan programs are safe. They do not save this information anywhere on your PC. This information is displayed in a browser window. Other than these things the scan program will scan through the pointing devices (mouse or joy stick etc.), optical devices, printers and CD Rom of the system and will give their specifications. You will also be provided information about the networking of your system. For example your will be told about your IP address, default gateway, primary DNS, firewalls and the subnet mask. The best PC Hardware Scan that I have come across is the Registry Easy. Not only that the product is very useful but I found the website of the product very informative. Visit the website for any further information that you need on the subject.
