Cool Kitchen Gadgets

Since the cool cooking gadgets article has proven itself to be quite interesting, why not continue the interesting story with come cool kitchen gadgets? We’ve seen a couple of things that make the kitchen seem more of a fun room than the “torture chamber” where you have to go and cook meals that take hours and wash the dirty dishes.
Some cool kitchen gadgets can turn out to be more useful than others but either way, it’s nice to know they exist… and maybe they could give you a cool, original and crazy idea for a gift next Christmas. For instance, have you ever heard about Smokey the Silencer? This is nothing more than a cool looking smoking detector remote control which can prevent some nasty smoke alarm noise in cases where people leave the roast in the over and go wandering off to see what’s on TV.

Just place Smokey anywhere in the kitchen (on the fridge would be a good idea) and press the arm so that Smokey can start communicating with your smoke alarm. If you have the bad habit of forgetting about food in the oven, maybe turning off the smoke alarm is not the best idea but in case you have an alarm that goes off at the tiniest sense of smoke, maybe you could save yourself some real headaches.

I love toast. Not only does it taste good, buy you can eat it with almost anything and it’s healthy. This is why I believe a portable toaster is an excellent idea for people that to enjoy something else than a hamburger when it comes to an afternoon snack. The portable toaster is shaped just like a knife except for the fact that when you press it harder on your bread slices it starts heating up things. It even has animated graphics which indicate the level of “toasting” on the slice of bread. It heats up using some weird nanotechnology which is probably not your main field of interest. It has something to do with carbon tubes that heat up. What really matters is that you get a nice slice of toaster bread in about 2 or 3 minutes. The nasty part is that when you are done with one side, it will probably get cold until the other one is toasted as well.

Another thing I love to eat is pasta. You can cook it in so many ways and add all sorts of different ingredients and what are the chances of going wrong with a delicious pasta and spaghetti sauce no matter what the dinner occasion is? With an integrated LCD panel and an annoying beeper, the pasta timer will allow you to choose from 10 different pasta shapes and sizes and it will let you know when the pasta is cooked just the way you like it. If you remove the LCD, the times can be cleaned even in the washing machine. It takes its power from the battery and it only costs $39.95. A small bargain for a meal as delicious as pasta can be.

Why is nanotechnology important?
Everything in our world, from the natural to the manufactured, is composed of atoms and molecules.
