iPhone insurance

Flickr is just about the most widely used photo sharing site today. It is a place for photography enthusiasts to express all their work for free. Anyone can be a part of and sign-up to upload their pictures and brag their utmost pictures to many other photography enthusiasts around the world. There’s no qualification for anybody who wants to be part of the social photo networking website, you need not be a specialist photographer to have all of your captured photos in the circulation of the internet site. Any photographer with or without knowledge, provided that their image has something meaningful to tell all of the viewers, then you are surely in.

When Flickr started as a nice photo resource and sharing site, most photograph entries had been shared by professional photographers, some, if not skilled technically, are experienced photographers who have a that natural eye for good high quality images. These pros typically capture their photos using top quality cameras or digital single- lens reflex cameras typically referred to as DSLR. These digital cameras enable an accurate preview of framing close to the moment of exposure. That’s the reason why they’re mainly preferred by lots of photography lovers.

On the other hand, with all the freedom Flickr provides its subscribers, numerous digicams are actually becoming sources of great pictures contributed on their website. Best of all is cellphone digital cameras also have paved their way in proving that they are capable of capturing breath- taking sceneries using their very simple yet modern specifications as to still photo capturing is concerned.

Moreover, as reviews were given over Flickr, it’s been reported that the Apple iPhone 4 is the greatest camera used by many, along with the most common camera used to capture attractive images, and to my surprise, besting out the high end DSLR Nikon D90 camera.

It’s without doubt that this 5- mega-pixel camera on the iPhone 4 can catch great and smooth images. Images that are sufficiently good to be mistaken as DSLR quality. You will find of course third party programs that greatly enhance graphic quality of captured photos as they feature filter systems that can give a various twist on your photograph. Not just that, with all the coming of iOS 5, improvements indeed has a lot to provide. It is merely proper that its integrity be protected constantly with the iPhone 4 insurance.

The iPhone insurance secures your mobile phone from numerous effects of nature’s elements. It covers your Apple iPhone from accidental damage and fluid or water damage in any event that your gadget is subjected to them. What more could be greater than defense against loss or thievery, including a 90- day international coverage that could ensure your iPhone is covered any place in and outside of UK. The iPhone insurance plan certainly makes your thoughts more comfortable and your mood for photography intact at all times. – iPhoneIns5310p51vg54n9_MyAN

Vimeo’s gratis iOS video editing app punks iMovie in its own house, available now

Posted by on Wednesday, 30 March, 2011

Still waffling over that bank-shattering .99 iMovie purchase? We get it. Thankfully, you’ve held out long enough for the free market to come and rescue you (again) — Vimeo has just launched a legitimate alternative into the App Store today with a far, far more luscious price tag: .00. The official iOS app checks in at 20.1MB, and offers the ability to upload, manage, edit and watch your videos (as well as those conjured up by others, naturally). It’ll handle edits and uploads for both SD and HD footage, and there’s even support for pausing / resuming uploads, sharing via your favorite social networking website, and a view to statistics — if you’re into that type of narcissistic thing. The app’s up for grabs down in the source link below, and while we’re hearing that some folks are hitting upload snags every so often, we’re sure the v1.0 build will be refreshed in short order. Oh, and for the iPad and Android contingent? Your copy is en route, but a helping of patience is requested.

Get a Free Laptop Through Facebook!

Posted by on Tuesday, 23 February, 2010

…or not. At least two Facebook contacts have invited me to sign up for promos like these:

Hi there! I work for an online company and my manager is having me advertise our website on Facebook, so I thought I could strike a deal with all Facebook users that join this group. We have tens of thousands of laptops that we ordered from Hewlett Packard that don’t fit our requirements for UDK development. The problem is that Hewlett Packard won’t let us return these laptops and by selling these laptops we will lose money. I then thought of something great to do with the laptops – give them away free if you have a legitimate reason for wanting a laptop. Please don’t submit “I need to play games” in the form because it probably won’t be approved. This way our website would be advertised and people across the globe that need laptops get what they need.

Sounds like a win-win right? All you need to do is follow a few steps—which includes pasting some javascript into your browser address bar and pressing Enter—and visit a particular site. But warning bells went off in my head; this offer sounded too good to be true, a classic something-for-supposedly-nothing scheme. A quick search online pointed me to this thread on Dell’s forums, which details exactly what this “promo” is all about:

100% hoax. The group asks users to enter a javascript code into their address bar which grabs every friend’s name and adds them to an invite for the group.

I guess we should all be lucky the JS isn’t more malicious. Because we all know how stupid people can be.

So watch out dear readers, and feel free to pass this on to whoever invites you to get a laptop for free, through Facebook. Hopefully the social networking website has plugged the vulnerability (the javascript on the address bar thing) that lets this sort of thing prosper.

Xanga is a social networking website where people use to search for new friends and keep in touch with them. People use this website usually to upload and share photos, and also for creating and sharing their blog.
<-300×250 Medium Rectangle – center->
As many other social networking websites, it provides many features but not as many as the famous websites like Facebook, Netlog and many others.

cool-xanga-codes

The features Xanga provides to their users are: Photo Album (users can upload their photos and videos into an online album and share them with other users), Photo Blog (you, as an user have the possibility to create your own blog and a plus of this website is that you can add images at the blog too), Music and Video (you can upload music and videos on your profile and share your favorite ones with your Xanga friends), Messages for Friends (you as an user, can post messages in your friends’ profiles and they can send you back messages by posting them on your profile).

Unfortunately they do not provide yet a Music and Video Database, so users can watch videos or listen to music just on their profiles and on other friends profiles.

Basically, the Xanga account can be created for free, but they offer you just basic features. But if you would like to be a kind of a premium member and you want more space hosting pictures, more Xanga skins, no ads on your profile and many other benefits, it will cost you just $25 for an year. This sum is paid yearly, depending for how many years you would like to be a Xanga member.

So far, if you are a Xanga user, and you have a basic account (you are not a premium member because you are not willing to pay) and you want your profile to look prettier, you have to know that Xanga website allows you to introduce HTML codes.

With the special codes used for Xanga you can add images, change background image, add layout to your profile, change the cursor of your mouse pointer or make changes to the text by colouring, bolding, underlining words or even change the font and the size. There are advanced codes that generate traffic counters helping you to know the number of people that have viewed your profile and how popular you are, or inserting special symbols like copyright symbols.

These HTML codes, when introduces, will generate several things like colours, cursors, games, images, music, special characters and many others.

To make your Xanga profile page unique, you will use some cool Xanga codes. Let me take some examples of such codes.

Snowflakes

Winter is coming and you want to be in trend with the weather, so you can add some snowflakes to your Xanga profile by inserting the following code:

content_icon_1498

a:hover {background:url(http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k33/Blackfairy1/thfallingsnowanimatedbackground.gif); text-decoration: none;}

If you insert that code you will notice that is snowing on your profile.

Layouts

If you want to change your profile layout, you can simply copy the code link into your profile editor in Xanga, and your layout will be personalized.

For example, if you insert the specific code for this layout, your profile layout should be changed and should appear like this:

Icons

Some icons can be easily used by just introducing its specific codes, and the code will generate an small image which can be used also as a comment on others profile but also to personalize your profile.

For example, if you insert the following code,

<a href="http://www.layoutxanga.net"><img src="http://www.myspace-code.org/xanga/11369143171239226026.gif" border="0"></a><div style="position:absolute;right:0px;top:0px;"><center><a href="http://www.layoutxanga.net/"><img src="http://www.myspace-code.org/xanga/button.gif" alt="Xanga Icons" border="0" /></a></div><a href="http://www.layoutxanga.net">Xanga Icons</a><br><br><br>

You will receive the following icon:

These were just few examples, but there are hundreds of ways in which you can personalize your Xanga profile, with the help of cool Xanga codes.

Woman Arrested for Poking Someone Else on Facebook—Seriously

Posted by on Tuesday, 13 October, 2009

A woman in Tennessee was recently arrested for poking someone else on Facebook. By doing so, Shannon D. Jackson apparently violated a restraining order that prohibited her from Dana M. Hannah. Violating this so-called “order of protection” is a Class A misdemeanor in the state—meaning the potential maximum sentence is “11 months, 29 days”, or barely below a complete year! All for clicking a link on a social networking website.

Proof of the alleged misdemeanor was a screenshot of said poke

Proof of the alleged misdemeanor was a screenshot of said poke

Technology and law traditionally haven’t meshed well together, as technology’s constant stream of new developments sometimes make the law’s adherence to the letter ludicrous. Stanford fellow Ryan Calo laid out the legal rationale behind the whole affair:

…it is still a form of communication restricted by a protective order.

“A poke is a very deliberate action,” he said. “You have to select the person and say, ‘this is what I want to do.’”

Advances in technology have expanded the spectrum of communication, from low-engagement to high-engagement ways of interacting with others, Calo said.

Fair enough, a woman goes to court and successfully gets a court order protecting her from further communication from an offending party, and that protection was violated. Getting arrested for poking someone else on Facebook sounds a bit rough, but there’s a lesson here: If someone hated or feared me enough to actually file a restraining order against me, I would simply delete him or her from my list of Facebook friends. Common sense people!
