For $50 you can buy a really cool gadget. The Night Vision Goggles are actually a set of binoculars that have an infrared feature which allows you to see things clearly in the dark. These goggles work with 5 AA batteries which are not included when purchasing the kit. You also get an instruction booklet so you can see how to properly handle these binoculars and then explain it to the kids. This is a toy we recommend for those aged +6. Now your kids can play with their friends (in the back yard of course, we’d never advise you to let them anywhere else when it’s dark outside) and have some real fun. In-the-dark hide and seek has never been easier and more fun. You can see up to 50 feet even when it’s completely dark. You have 2 night vision display modes and another 2 amplification modes.
If you already have a Nintendo Wii at home but your little girl has absolutely no idea how to use it or she doesn’t think it’s any fun to play those racing games that you play with your son or friends, now here is a cool gift that can put the Nintendo to use even for your little girl. Personally, I’ve watched too many “Chucky” movies to stand to be around any doll but I think it would make your daughter happy if you bought her one that really acts like a person. I know that such dolls that cry and burp and pee in the diaper have been available on the market for quite some time but this one is special because of the technology used. You can put a Wiimote into the back of the doll which was especially created for the game “Baby and me”. In the game, the kid needs to take care of the baby, feed it, swing it, play with it and so forth. The Wiimote has a speaker inside and so the baby makes all the normal noise that a real baby does. Girls will love their new toy but we are not sure how you are going to handle babies crying all over again.
If your kid has seen too many airplane-fight movies, he has probably already bugged you several times saying “Can I get a plane too, daddy? Can I, can I, can I?!” You probably won’t buy him a real plane but you surely can spare $32 and buy him a remote control fighter jet. This little baby can actually fly at 25 km/hour so your kid will be thrilled to play with it all day (just make sure he does it in the garden before he breaks your wife’s favorite vase). We think you are going to like this little gadget yourself so you and your son will be competing to see who makes better loops, more impressive acrobatics and who is a better pilot. You need 6 AA batteries so we recommend you invest in a battery charger as well.

$50 and the Oregon Scientific Star Wars Darth Vader Laptop is all yours for the taking. Sure, the name is long and fancy but this gadget is simpler to use than it sounds. This Star Wars laptop has 50 fun and logic games packed up for your kid. Not only is it entertaining, it is also quite educative as some games will improve his memory skills, others will train his reflexes and some will even improve the hand-eye coordination. You have a light sabre which has motion sensors and your kill will get a blast with the sound effects. Just like the Jedi knights did it, now your son can extend his sabre with the push of a button. May the force be with you, young Skywalker!
If you are on a really low budget but still want to buy something nice for your youngster, for $15 you can purchase a digital watch with laser beam and a really cool small radio that comes even with headphones. The nice thing is you get 2 products in one package at a real small price. The sport watch has a laser built-in and it can project either a simple red light or you can choose between other 4 patterns just by turning the dial at the end of the laser. The radio has a belt clip so your kids can listen to music while walking to school or sitting on the back seat of the car and he can change the stations by pressing one simple button. The radio also has a light built into it so it will add a nice glow to his daily outfit.
As usual, we have saved our favorite for last. We are not sure if this is a gift you’re your daughter, your son, wife, and husband or whatever. Our guess is that it’s for girls since it’s pink but there is a good chance the boys will get their hands on it as well. This looks like a normal alarm clock (pink alarm clock that is). Except that it doesn’t have a cuckoo inside, it has chocolate. Every hour a little door opens up and instead of some annoying bird coming out, you get a sweet chocolate treat. Be careful, you have to grab it in 30 seconds or the door closes and the clock swallows your chocolate in again. Make sure you refill it when it’s out of chocolate but don’t put more than 30 small pieces in it. It also has a sensor that prevents it from opening at night.
We hope we have provided you with some cool kids gifts (or ideas, that is) and remember that you don’t have to spend a fortune to buy a cool gift.
