Smartphone Nokia 5800 Xpress Music, earlier known as Nokia Tube, has attracted the attention for a long time and it deserved it. It intensified after the announcement that was made in the whole world by the company for this phone at the early October 2008. Public interest was fed regularly: the company presented this phone as a “Black Night”, they announced that sales will begin only in some selected regions. Perhaps Nokia 5800 can claim the title of the most expected phone of the year 2008.

First of all I have to say that this phone has a sensory screen. Even if there were some phones made by Nokia that had a sensory screen, for example 7700 or 7710, none of these devices were for the general public, these phones were some of the niche models. Therefore, Nokia 5800 Xpress Music is the first Nokia with sensory screen for a high number of people and a large sales volume. We may also recall that this phone was the first Symbian device with a matrix that was sensible to touch, and that meant a new era in the history of the platform.

Nokia 5800 Xpress Music proportions correspond entirely to the accepted widely standard, but the phone is not excessively wide. This is a good part, the device sits comfortable in your hand and you can manage it with one hand also (no need to worry if the phone will fit in a narrower pocket).

Its display uses a 16:9 ratio of the parties, which is reflected positively on viewing the media files. When viewing video, there are no black stripes at the screen edges, to view pictures also covers most of the screen, the free left space can dealt with virtual keys.

For the energy economy and to prevent unwanted presses, near to the phone speaker was located a particular approach sensor : when you put your phone to your ear, the screen automatically switches off and gets locked. This lock is automatically canceled, is enough to remove the phone from the ear, that’s why the control problems do not occur during conversations.
As already noted, the Nokia 5800 Xpress Music is based on the new Symbian version – 9.4. Those accustomed to the platform of the earlier editions will notice that there are some changes in the interface. And indeed, icons and virtual buttons increased, and there can not be wrong presses. Only one theme is installed. It is combined with the colors of the phone, a standard thing for the Xpress Music series.

We must understand that the 5800 Xpress Music is aimed at listening to music and watching movies not only by the owner if the phone. That’s why it has included in the phones box a special support which makes more comfortable watching a movie by more the one person at the same time. An important aspect of media functions became the synchronization with the Internet. This is manifested through podcasts and video channels in the phone, and by adding links to online stores, and by the opportunity to upload their own videos on Ovi.

Nokia 5800 website was wanted for a long period of time by the interested people.
Eventually, nokia 5800 website was released and you can find it at this address :

Analysts from MKM Partners have today predicted that Nokia’s Comes With Music service may not survive till the end of 2010, and may have to close unless Nokia drastically increases its number of active users. As MKM’s Tero Kuittinen suggests:…
Nokia may have seemed a bit lazy recently, but the Nokia X6 Comes With Music is certainly one of their more exciting phones for quite some time. A touchscreen interface, pretty decent camera, massive storage space and the much-touted…
In case you missed the news a few months back we were quite taken with the X6. It not only looks the dogs and boasts the now requisite 3.2inch touch screen, it also has 32 Gigabytes of storage on board, packs a five mega pixel camera and has 35 hours of music playing battery life. The phone also includes access to Nokia’s Ovi – its equivalent of the iTunes app store – and is ready to sync with Facebook too via a Lifecasting with Ovi feature. This basically lets you publish your location and status updates directly to Facebook from the phone.

Despite a gallery of available models, T-Mobile is the only U.S. carrier to offer Nokia Xpress Music phones. In 2006 we saw the Nokia 5300, last year it was the 5610 and 5310, and Wednesday brought us the Nokia 5130. Simple in both …
