Discover The Renowned Quality Embodied By BMW Agoura

Posted by on Sunday, 22 August, 2010

Luxury and dependability are probably two words most people think about when the BMW name is mentioned. Many people dream about owning a BMW, but they are not sure how nice it is. Heading to BMW car dealer Agoura will clear this up. These cars are known for their high efficiency and have withstood the test of time in showing they are worth the money you pay to have one.

Bayerische Motoren Werke found its beginnings in 1916 and is a German based company. Translating this into English, this becomes Bavarian Motor Works. This business has built vehicles, motorcycles, and useful machinery for quite a long time. People have grown to love the BMW label, and there does not seem to be any change in its appeal.

BMW started creating motors for airplanes when it opened its doors in the year 1916. When they discontinued manufacturing airplane engines, they proceeded to generate motorcycles and then moved to the assemblage of automobiles. Dixi was the name of the initial car that was associated with the BMW name. This car was so well liked that people buying it kept the company from closing its doors during the Great Depression. BMW bought the rights to own and manufacture the Dixi. The car was tiny and was discontinued in 1932.

A sedan was created that had a lot of comfortable space, and it was called BMW 501. This rolled off the assembly line in the years of the 1950′s. Soon after the development of the 501 came the appearance of the 502, which had an engine made of an alloy that was not very heavy. This engine was the very first of its type any where in the world. Another vehicle created in 1950′s was slapped with the label Isetta. This was a tiny vehicle, and was nicknamed the “bubble car” for its egg shape.

When the crazy, disco 1970′s made its arrival, BMW had a reputation as an excellent car maker. Who would say anything against the company? BMW always stuck technology right under the noses of anyone who purchased their mechanisms. Vehicle electronics, highly suffused engines, and longevity kept BMW ahead of other manufacturers. BMW of North America also came along to grace us with its presence during the 70′s. This gave American buyers more leeway to purchase a prized BMW through importing.

The last part of the 1990′s showed the emergence of the first manufacturing BMW facility in the United States and the only one of its kind. This facility is located in Spartanburg County, South Carolina on one thousand one hundred fifty acres. The total focus is about quality since all the processes of manufacturing are done within the confines of one large building. The faculty are better able to keep the lines of communication open when discussing and building the cars.

Even if you do not appreciate the looks of these extraordinary automobiles, it does not take away from the fact that they have made a definite impact upon the world. They have been admired by many individuals and have been utilized as sturdy racing cars. You may not like a champion boxer, but you would have to commend his fighting spirit. This is the way it is with the great BMW title.

If a one of these cars is foreseen in your future, head on over to the BMW car dealer Agoura. You will not be sorry that you spent the time to get the car of your dreams. An investment with your Orange County BMW service center is an investment in your happiness.

We Review The list Of Faceez Applications

Posted by on Saturday, 24 April, 2010

In recent months, the net applications provided by the DS store have been creating some interesting features. Especially where the DSi is concerned, the console is finally having its extra functions realised in some brilliant interactive titles. A recent photograph manipulation title, Faceez, is gathering a considerable amount of attention.

Faceez takes advantage of the DSi’s twin cameras, permitting gamers to take pictures of themselves and pals. These images can then be uploaded into the Faceez enhancing suite, which can hold an enormous variety of photos. Your photos can now be played around with in varied ways.

By selecting ‘mix’ you may construct hybrids of your face with a vast inventory of different photos, permitting you to check out movie star noses or hairstyles. ‘Disguise’ permits Faceez gamers to add comical disguises to their photos, such as Pirate Hats or Bandit Masks. ‘Animate’ is certainly the most impressive function, which adds your facial image to a stick-man and allows you to perform a whole host of actions, such as dancing, eating sweets and singing. Inventory expressions will be fused to your face to make it look like your mouth is talking, and the results are remarkably realistic.

This game is a great little way to get together with buddies and have some fun. The in-depth elements are definitely impressive, and you’ll have hours of fun testing out all the tools. Faceez photos can also be uploaded to Facebook and different apps, which means the possibilities go even further. For those who’re searching for a fun little title to check out the DSi’s skills, Faceez is the latest obsession!

Two Strikes Against Verizon Wireless

Posted by on Monday, 21 December, 2009

Have you heard? Over the weekend, El Reg reported on Verizon Wireless forcing subscribers to use Microsoft Bing on select smartphones:

Verizon has unilaterally updated user Storm 2 BlackBerries and other smartphones so that their browser search boxes can only be used with Microsoft Bing.

The move is part of the five-year search and advertising deal Verizon signed with Microsoft in January for a rumored $500m.

The search boxes previously allowed searches via Google and on other websites like Dictionary.com. Yes, affected users can still visit the actual sites and search from there—going to Google.com on their mobile browsers for instance—but they’re rightfully pissed.

Ah well, I guess that five-year deal was too good to pass up, though The Register did report on Google trying to reach a similar agreement with Verizon.

And, in other news, Anticitizen on Flickr brought his new Droid (bought for $200) back to the shop for repairs. The battery was loose, so what did the Verizon rep do? Plaster a Verizon-branded tape on the back to secure the battery:

Now you’ve given iPhone users—with their non-removable batteries—more reason to turn their noses up and start harrumphing. Thanks a lot Verizon!

Israeli airport security shoots a defenseless MacBook

Posted by on Tuesday, 15 December, 2009

Not sure why this suddenly came up and I’m not going to get into the politics of this, but Israeli security, in an apparent fit of pique, shot a young woman’s laptop at the airport.

I went inside to check on my bag. I had left it unattended, where they instructed. It was still there so I went back outside.

Moments later a man came outside and introduced himself as the manager on duty. And then, “I’m sorry but we had to blow up your laptop. “

What….all my client case notes and testimony, writing, pictures, music and applications. Years of work. NO!!!! What?? Are you insane?? What were you thinking? THAT’S ALL MY WORK!?

After much yelling, crying and frantic phone dialing (don’t be alarmed if I called you repeatedly this morning), he took me outside to see the wreckage. It turned out it hadn’t been quite blown up, but rather shot through with three bullets. We were able to extract the hard drive, seemingly unscaved. Thank goodness

Now I’m no bomb expert, but as far as I remember bombs are concentrations of explosives connected to some sort of detonation system. Safety first, and all, but this seems like someone didn’t quite want to waste an entire entire C4 charge on a wild goose chase and instead decided to play Rambo.

Again, not to take sides but WTF, Israel? You have bomb robots for this sort of thing. This just rubs peoples’ noses in your extensive security apparatus.
