Children should not play with matches’ is a well know cool saying that we all know maybe even from our grandparents. It really means the basic thing that little kids should not play with matches but it may also have a deeper meaning for instance that you were too young and too naive to cope with that situation and you shouldn’t have got involved in it. It will depend on the type of situation and to whom it is addressed. We know this saying by heart and surely we shall say it to our kids as well.

An interesting and cool saying is ‘If your friends decided to jump off a bridge, would you?’ and this one is mostly used on teenagers that are influenced by their friends in doing all sorts of things. It has a hidden meaning because this is a main reason that teenagers get in trouble nowadays, waiting to be cool and accepted by their gang and doing stuff that they would not ordinary do but if the other kids do it, then it is cool.

As a parent do try to explain the fact that if you follow a set of rules that some older kid/kids implemented in your group would you would not become more cool or interesting and also as a kid remember that you shall set yourself apart by being unique and developing your talents and trying to gain as much as experience and knowledge as you can because this will matter not all the stupid things that your fake friends will put you up to. Real friends will accept and love you the way you are.

‘I brought you into the world, I can take you out’ is a classic revenge cool saying that you surely have hard in the movies. It is quite possible that you have heard it also in real life and it is addressed to someone that took advantage of some skills or relations of another one and now he or she will surpass the ‘teacher’. This saying is full of resentment and with the knowledge that you can destroy a person if you would like because with your help he or she got here and if that person did not get your help then you would not have problems right now. It also means that the person we are talking about has made some mistakes or too some decisions of bad judgment that affected you directly and you did not expected this to happen.

For the ones that like to speak their mind we have the cool saying ‘Stop beating around the bush’. When you will hear this, it will surely mean that it is quite obvious that you do not want to hear the intro of the problem and all the false pretenses and to go straight to the problem. Usually the receiver of this saying tried to stall some time and to forge some excuses so that the problem will not seem that much deeper. Actually it is because this is why that person tries to invent or explain more the problem, feeling guilty and also vulnerable. Literally ‘beating around the bush’ means circling an issue, decision or a problem not knowing how to approach it.

When somebody is giving you the ‘cold shoulder’ this will mean that he or she is upset with you and tried to make a point. This is the fastest way to show that you are angry and upset without causing a scene that most probably no one would like. The person that got the cold should will surely notice a change in the behavior of the other parts involved and realize that something is wrong and hopefully it will all turn out well.

A fun game to play when deciding something is ‘I got the short end of the stick’. If you have a job or a chour or anything that you have to decide upon and you are a group then this will ease your decision, as the one that will take the shorter stick will do that annoying thing that everybody wants to run from. The main thing is that after deciding, you can’t contest the decision because you lost fair and square so do not be a cheater because this little game is all about luck. So, are you feeling lucky?

A cool saying that Murphy said is ‘Whatever can go wrong will go wrong’ and this was quoted as an universal law. You know the feeling when bad strikes keep on coming and they come all together? Well this is it, because it is a fundamental rule that this will happen at the very single sign of a little rain, if you allow it the storm will flood. It will only depend on you to get out of it and how much it will affect you. You have to be more optimistic and think positive by saying that this is just a minor set back and things will run to their natural course.

Having the idea that all will be wrong and everything is not chaos, you are going to focus only on the problem and maximize it, when you should focus on a solution and think of better ways to resolve the situation that occured. It is normal that we pass through life by having ups and downs because otherwise we will not appreciate the happy and joyful moments when we will have them. It will depend only on us and our powerful will to get out of the situation and create a solution. Do keep in mind the fact that the longer you complain and criticize yourself for ending up in this predicament, the longer your problem will persist because you are focusing on the wrong things.
