Right now you can have a transportable motion picture player that you can take with you anywhere. You can view movies while you are waiting in line, flying on a plane, riding the bus or even riding shotgun in a car (you really shouldn’t view a film while you are driving!)

The iPhone is perhaps the most expedient and manageable film player yet. It has the potential to let you to download any movie that you want so you can watch it anytime, anyplace with just a few touches of the key.

You may get movies on your iPhone in a number of different ways. You can download right away from the Internet. Just make sure that you are using a trustworthy membership site and not a bootleg site so that you can preclude tribulations with viruses and adware, not to mention so that you won’t be breaking the law.

You can even shift the movies that you already have possession of to your iPhone so long as they are on Disc’s. You will first need to convert the Disc to an mp4 format so that your iPhone can read it. There are loads of software programs that will let you to do this. Just search for it online and try to discover one that will let you appraise it before your procure it so that you can make sure that it is unproblematic and efficient and works well for you.

After the Disc is transferred to mp4 file format you will need to put it on iTunes to be able to transfer it to your iPhone. Pretty much, if you want to download movies it is possible in the same way download hindi films is on the web.

You can acquire the movies that you want but you don’t already own by finding a good membership site to download from. Make sure the site is dependable. Many of the P2P and torrent sites are offering illegally copied copies of the movies and breaking copyright law. A good membership site usually charges a very inexpensive fee and they will allow you unrestricted downloads for the extent of your membership.

I’m certain you realize that you can save time and money by downloading directly to your iPhone because you do not have to go through the step of transferring the file to mp4. Your membership fee will regularly last for a year or more also, so you can get quite a few great movies in that time period.

Once you discover how it is trouble-free and handy to have the downloaded movies right on your iPhone. You can view it anytime and anywhere.

The movie industry also understands that lot of us prefer to have access to movie downloads and, many movies are now accessible on respectable websites. You will find a charge, not surprisingly, however this is coming down and you’re simply guaranteed to enjoy the film as it was initially intended through the movie director.

Any movie downloading internet sites that are legal allow you to burn the downloaded file so that you can watch it on a DVD. These types of low cost web sites don’t direct the consumer to another site because there may be a possibility that the site is illegal.

A proven way for ensuring that the movie downloading website is reliable and legal, like they are setting good standards such as presenting the most recent movies. One more is that the process should be simple for the users to follow and comprehend.

You bet, Internet end users have preferred the sharing of their files via P2P. Why don’t we have a look at P2P, this permits users to share unlicensed movies but without doubt it still violates the laws of copyright.

The vast majority of websites are arranging their titles for easy selection given that they have a huge variety of movies for viewing pleasure. There are several where you’ll be required to use a download manager. That is the program where your videos are added to the queue to help keep track of the movies. Next, it’ll ask you to install a video player if your computer does not have one.

Generally in most dependable websites for example, they have free registration plus they provide an unlimited download plan. You will have an option of either getting a membership at a low price or downloading one movie at a time. When you are a member, they will give you access to their movies. Please note that it is crucial in looking for a website that their service is easy to learn and user friendly in that sense.

All of us love entertainment. It will likely be more comfortable in your house to watch a video that has been downloaded instead of wasting your money renting DVDs. You will find definite advantages to downloading videos right from the warmth of your own house. In addition learn how to download movies to your ipod with roja tamil movie online right now.

The Digital Economy Act passed in the UK, as you know, and it’s pretty terrible. One of the more spicy sections of the law involved peer-to-peer use, and how it basically makes ISPs responsible for what their customers download. So if HBO finds that you’ve been download “The Pacific,” (really good show, by the way, much to my surprise) it can contact your ISP, who’s then responsible for telling you to knock if off. If not, you face a truly horrible punishment: you’re sent to Stoke! (That’s a joke, people!)

Even though we’re a hot eight months away before the ISPs have to be ready, they’re all getting ready right now.

The situation will work like this:

1. You download “The Pacific”
2. HBO finds out, gets mad, contacts your ISP
3. Your ISP tells you to knock if off
4. You refuse
5. HBO contacts your ISP again
6. Your ISP tells you again to knock it off, if not it can throttle your connection or disconnect your line

That’s the gist of it.

So there’s that, and the impending death of Usenet, and your days of downloading TV shows and movies illegally are coming to an end.

It seems that there is a feature of uTorrent 2.0 now in beta that automatically detects network congestion and self-limits bandwidth to lessen it. This might provide some much-needed relief to ISPs that feel a disproportionate amount of traffic is P2P. I’m not sure whether to call this self-policing action capitulation or accommodation, but either way it probably needed to happen.

The uTP protocol is an extension of the bittorrent protocol, and essentially times packets being transferred and calculates if there is any serious delay. The idea is that this would only kick in when the network is being stressed.

We’ll see how this turns out, but who knows what other implementations of this sort we’ll be seeing. The net neutrality battle is likely to be marked by compromises on both sides. Expect to see measures taken in other areas like VoIP. It’s progress… I guess.

England lost to Ukraine yesterday, thus sullying Fabio Capello’s 100 percent World Cup qualifying campaign record. While I understand that CrunchGear is quite popular in England—we get so much fan mail from Stoke!—I also understand that many of our American readers have no idea what I’m talking about, much less do they care. Au contraire, mes amis, for there is something that might interest you: the result of the online-only broadcast experiment. A toast, then, to the 500,000 or so people who watched the game.

You’ll recall that no “traditional” broadcaster wanted the show the game because, well, to be honest, it was a rather pointless one, seeing as though England has already qualified for next year’s World Cup. Why bother paying through the nose for a game that means nothing, and that not too many fans would bother watching? That’s the logic, at least. So in stepped Perform, which specializes in Streaming Stuff.

Perform itself said there were “no issues” with the broadcast, but you’ll have trouble convincing someone that watching a stream on your laptop can replicate the experience of watching on your big screen TV, or at the pub, or, well, at the game itself!

So yeah, if you consider ~500,000 people a success, then it was one. If not, just enjoy your Sunday.

In other World Cup news, man alive was that Argentina-Peru match dramatic! And yes: I watched it on an illegal P2P stream. Oh noes!

Magid Associates implies that file-sharers—especially those who steal content—actually end up spending more “on traditional media and entertainment”. In other words, frequent P2P users actually contribute more to the bottom line of media companies.

Our survey shows that the P2P user attends 34% more movies in theaters, purchases 34% more DVDs and rents 24% more movies than the average internet user. The P2P user owns more HDTVs and is more likely to own a high-def-DVD player, too.

While what applies to users of Vuze (the company who commissioned the study) is hardly universal, hopefully this kind of objective research will help traditional media publishers realize that they should adapt to the market, not the other way around. More people like to download stuff online, and the first company who can turn avid downloaders into paying customers will definitely win the game.

Feel free to comment anonymously below: if you frequently download bootleg copies, do you actually spend more on purchasing legit copies/permission? Personally, once I discovered Steam, it became the focal point of my gaming experience—starting with the purchase.

But that doesn't mean BitTorrent is dead. Far from it. Here are five places to get your torrent on after it closes for good.

Demonoid
Demonoid, besides having a solid community and good quality torrents—no porn, exceedingly few viruses—also operates the other major torrent tracker besides The Pirate Bay. (A tracker is what help makes the whole BitTorrent system work, since it makes sure every peer's talking to each other properly.) It doesn't have the best selection around, but what most of what you'll find there is quality. The catch is that you need to snag an invitation from a member or when they periodically dole them out to the public.

Mininova.org
Mininova's always one of our preferred torrent sites—tons of torrents from multiple trackers, not a lot of crap in the interface, and the search isn't bad. Actually, it's kind of the like The Pirate Bay, but with less crap and fewer headaches. The catch now is that they're slowly implementing a new copyright filter to keep copyrighted torrents from being uploaded. But you should still be able to find True Blood on there, no problem.

ISOHunt
ISOHunt is a BitTorrent and P2P search engine that's got what feels like the most sophisticated search engine of the bunch. But like the others, you just punch in what you're looking for, and it pulls up results you can sort by seeds, date or whatever. It has one of the most massive indices of any site, so it's a good thing the search engine is up to it. Still, with a lot of torrents, it can be hard to find exactly what you're looking for.

BTJunkie
BTJunkie claims to be the largest torrent search engine of all, with around 5,000-25,000 new torrents added to the index daily. The quantity doesn't seem noticeably better than the other sites listed above, however. Also, the interface is really ugly. But you know, it's there if you need it.

EZTV
If you've downloaded a TV show, whatever site you snagged it from, chances are, it came from these guys. They're the most prolific TV rippers around, and usually have solid quality rips of shows up within hours of airing. If you're interested in TV, you might as well just go to the source—their site points to wherever their files are hosted, so you don't have to search through a million different sites to find the right EZTV torrent.

The whole scene is admittedly a bit depressing now, after years of high profile closures—Suprnova, OiNK TorrentSpy and LokiTorrent—so these are what's left of the big sites. And even they're not guaranteed to survive. Demonoid went offline for several months back in 2007-2008, Mininova has a copyright filter attached to it, and really, any site is just a police raid away from possibly going down. So tread carefully, and don't get too attached to any of them.

And of course, you should drop your own suggestions in the comments.

It has one of the most massive indices of any site, so it’s a good thing the search engine is up to it. Still, with a lot of torrents, it can be hard to find exactly what you’re looking for.

BTJunkie
BTJunkie claims to be the largest torrent search engine of all, with around 5,000-25,000 new torrents added to the index daily. The quantity doesn’t seem noticeably better than the other sites listed above, however. Also, the interface is really ugly. But you know, it’s there if you need it.

EZTV
If you’ve downloaded a TV show, whatever site you snagged it from, chances are, it came from these guys. They’re the most prolific TV rippers around, and usually have solid quality rips of shows up within hours of airing. If you’re interested in TV, you might as well just go to the source—their site points to wherever their files are hosted, so you don’t have to search through a million different sites to find the right EZTV torrent.

The whole scene is admittedly a bit depressing now, after years of high profile closures—Suprnova, OiNK TorrentSpy and LokiTorrent—so these are what’s left of the big sites. And even they’re not guaranteed to survive. Demonoid went offline for several months back in 2007-2008, Mininova has a copyright filter attached to it, and really, any site is just a police raid away from possibly going down. So tread carefully, and don’t get too attached to any of them.

And of course, you should drop your own suggestions in the comments.

A team of university researchers led by a certain Roxana Geambasu will unveil a security system that effectively destroys messages after a set duration, and it will make use of the online cloud!

The software-driven system, named Vanish, relies on P2P technology to make pieces of an encryption key available online. The pieces, which are required to decrypt received messages, are stored on P2P nodes for access by recipients. As computers disconnect from these nodes—presumably after they’ve accessed the data needed for decryption—these nodes self-destruct, effectively wiping the encryption keys and making it impossible to decipher a message without authorization.

How secure is this system? In theory it sounds great, but smug armchair experts (like yours truly) probably hope that Vanish won’t create a false sense of security for any government or business that adopts it. No matter how well-designed a system is, there will always be hacking or social engineering exploits that attack kinks caused by human error. When was the last time you carelessly left your decrypted email open on an unattended computer?

In any case, thanks a lot Ms. Geambasu! If and when enterprise adoption of Vanish becomes a reality, corporate slaves will have to go online more often, to make sure they get the message before it disappears for good. Staying disconnected is now more impossible than ever.
