If you have made the decision to purchase a new or used skid steer loader you are doubtless thanking yourself and wishing you would have added this machine to your fleet of apparatus years back. These machines are compact and can be quite handy for doing one or two different roles within a day at a construction jobsite. These machines are also easy to run so you don’t have to spend a large amount of time and cash hiring and training a specialised operator.
Another thing that makes this machine so popular is its versatility. Normally when you buy a skid machine, it will be sold to you with a bucket on the front end. However, the following most popular tool that folk purchase for their slide steer to use on the front end are forks. Slide steer forks can be quite handy to use round the areas that you are working in.
You may think that if you go looking out for a set of forks to use on the front of your machine it’ll be easy as there’s possibly only one or two decisions. If this is your thought process, you are going to be quite shocked when you visit your local gear dealer. There are a wide selection of slide steer forks that alter in length, width, and so forth.
You can get extra long Skid Steer Forks if you need some extra reach to pick up a pallet. You may get forks with the tines that are moveable so you can space them in the exact width they need to be for your specific job. These work through manual adjustments and aren’t hydraulically turned on. This is really handy thought because depending on the shape and size of the pallet or material you are moving, you can always be sure that your slide forks will be in a position to handle the job.
If youwork in an agriculture application, you can get forks that are especially designed to pick up hay bails. Or if you’re stacking hay, you can get the back of the forks extra high so it will help you stack the hay 4 or five tall.
As was discussed above, you can get Skid Steer Forks designed in particular for the application you need. Think about that you’ll be using your skid steer forks for and then talk with your local sales rep that will help brainstorm and give you recommendation on what the best forks will be.

Take a guess what’s in that shipping box from HP. A few notebooks? Maybe a large, multifunction printer. Or it could be a production quality CRT monitor. All those are possible because, well, the box is huge and it’s on a shipping pallet, but they are also all wrong. This is crazy.

That huge box contains an eff’n power cable, which gives Greenpeace more shit to throw at the company. After all, Greenpeace already cleverly calls HP, Hazardous Products because of the companies use of brominated flame retardants (BFRs) and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastics. But this probably doesn’t help its image either.

I don’t know how I feel about this $44,990 F1 simulator.
On one hand, it’s a fraking F1 car mounted on top of a motion simulating gizmo. You turn left in the game, the car shifts left. How cool is that? Plus, it’s a Vodafone-sponsored car so you can be just like Lewis Hamilton.

But doesn’t it look janky? The whole thing is held up by a beefed up pallet. Then for $44,990 you only get a 19-inch LCD. And the steering wheel is a just a Logitech. You see what I mean?
I would expect for that type of coin that the simulator would be closer to the Fanatec RennSport Cockpit which has three LCD screens and a great steering wheel. Not that it really matters what I think. I can’t even afford to attend a F1 race on my blogging salary, let alone think I’m as cool as Mr. Hamilton.
