It’s a bird, it’s a plane, nope, it’s Liquid Robotic’s four Wave Gliders on a mission to snag the Guinness World Record for longest distance traveled on Earth by an automaton. Setting out today from the San Francisco Bay, the autonomous sea-faring crafts will travel far and wide to gather data about the world’s oceans. Powered by the water’s movement, the vessels are fuel-free, using “flapping” wings to move forward without human command. Tricked out with various solar-powered sensors, the robots can capture location, weather, temperature, wave height, barometric pressure and more throughout their travels. The 198.4 pound machines cost between 0,000 and 0,000 each depending on how many sensors are built-in — a small price for scientists or commandeering pirates hoping to learn more about the 95 percent of ocean that has yet to be explored. Let’s just hope they don’t run into one of these guys.

It’s been almost a year since the producers of The Hurt Locker filed a lawsuit against 5,000 alleged pirates suspected of distributing the film via BitTorrent. Now Voltage Pictures has updated its complaint, adding almost 20,000 IP addresses to the list of defendants. That makes it the largest file-sharing lawsuit of all time – a crown previously held by the company behind The Expendables, according to Wired. The plaintiff has already reached agreements with Charter and Verizon to identify individual users, but no such deal with Comcast, who owns nearly half the supposedly infringing addresses. Linking those addresses with user accounts would let Voltage manage individual settlements — probably somewhere between ,000-,000 — rather than continue legal action. All of this eerily echoes the Oscar-winning film’s plot, about an adrenaline junkie who couldn’t resist downloading just one more movie. Or defusing one more bomb. We’re a little fuzzy on the details, but venture into TorrentFreak to scan for familiar IP addresses.

In EVE Online, you can’t build things out of nothing. Effort must be given with regard to gathering resources in order to fortify a fleet. Gathering resources can be attained thru the process of mining. EVE Online mining involves a procedure of extracting raw materials known as ore from asteroids found in asteroid belts or ice in ice belts. Mining is all about employing your mining laser modules to these asteroids and filling up your cargo with ore. This ore can be refined into minerals that are mandatory in building equipment for your fleet or can be sold at the market for profit. However , there are a few EVE Online mining tips that you ought to know to make every mining session count. This EVE Online guide will give you some ideas.

Starting Low-Grade

If you are mining for the first time, know that you’ll start with a low-quality mining laser and like most other mining lasers, a single mining cycle takes only a minute. Since your current mining laser won’t get you any good quality resources, let quantity matter for the meantime and start stocking up some common ores at the low-grade asteroids. This is the safest route to go as well as valuable ore spots tend to be guarded by vicious pirates that may make short work of your puny ship.

A Little Spending

The money that you made from the tutorial mode can turn out to be awfully useful when it comes to EVE Online mining. You can buy a Miner I which can gather more ore units while using up less CPU at the same time. You may also opt in purchasing a survey scanner if you happen to feel you need better chances in finding the ore that you wish to mine. What’s critical is that you spend that cash on mining to make things easier.

Security Precautions

EVE Online Mining is unquestionably no walk in the park so for safety, make sure you look for systems with a variety of around 1.0 to 0.8. It should additionally have no more than 30 pilots in it. If you find that the current system that you’re in has been drained from other players, you’ll have no option but to travel. When carrying out your mining expedition, try and keep it less than 5 gate jumps away from your original location.

Remember to bookmark any good asteroids that you find particularly if the place is far so you can travel back easily. From there you should be stocking up plenty of ore that you can put to some serious use. Hopefully this EVE Online guide has given you some useful ideas to kickstart your mining career.

Digital Rights Management (DRM) came up with anti piracy campaign. It added restrictive options on music and video files sold online. These restrictions force buyers to use the WMA files into only one format. The format that came with the bought package can be used only. Usually files can be converted easily into other formats. And they can be copied to other devices like iPod’s etc. but not files with DRM protection on them. Neither can DRM protected files be copied to other programs or devices, nor can they be converted to other formats enabling them to do the former.

DRM restrictions target pirates who copy and sell music online. But at the same time, it targets more of innocent customers who legally buy products online. That goes against consumer rights. Forcing people to use a product in a limited manner is inappropriate. As an automatic response to these limitations, people have created ways to How To Remove DRM From WMA formatted files. Some techniques are accessible to a few people only. But a lot more methods are better and available online to everyone.

Removing DRM from WMA is actually easy. Some methods are:

• Users who have a CD burner and file ripper easily convert DRM files by both these processes. DRM protected files are burned on a CD and then ripped to many formats.
• Users record content from playing DRM files. The recording has to be from a good apparatus to retain original music/ video quality.
• An easier way is online software made to remove DRM from WMA. This method is available to more people. It gives fast results.

Online software often comes with a subscription price for the music company. The charge is minimal, but the benefits are huge. If a good site offers free trial period, the customer should avail that and try the software to remove DRM from WMA files. When trial period is over it is up to the user whether he want to continue using the software for a price or not. Therefore this is a relatively safer and trusted method. The results are great too.

The effort taken by the user is minimal. The program does the tough work, easily. The user selects preferred formats and the software converts and helps remove DRM from WMA files. Resulting files are clean original WMA, WMV versions, able to be used in many formats and portable devices.

You know how in Facebook, there’s no “dislike button”? Well think of that in this case: I’m not “liking” or supporting piracy, but consider this post a continuation of our “dislike” of Ubisoft’s faulty, ridiculous DRM scheme. Said DRM has prevented thousands, perhaps millions, of legitimate buyers of the game from playing it — and now, a leading group of hackers has put together a solution that rids the game of the DRM scourge.

It’s been some time since AC2 was released, and it’s likely that it has sold perhaps 80% of the units it was ever going to. Some would say that Ubisoft sold more units because people found they couldn’t pirate the game. That may be true for a few sales, but I think the PR effect was greater. Many people are not buying the game on principle or simply because they can’t rely on their internet connection (or Ubisoft’s servers) and don’t want to risk it. And the feeling towards DRM and Ubisoft right now is nothing less than total disgust.

Ubisoft makes great games, but if they’re going to saddle them with DRM like this (other versions of which lasted even less time), a lot more people are going to stop paying for them.

Lastly, a little shout-out from the group, Skidrow:

Sort of a “good game” from the people Ubisoft will never be able to beat. And anyone ever else notice that no one in the scene can spell?
