Ahead of any possible Ultrabook announcements, Sony’s looking to give its existing VAIO catalogue a (relatively underwhelming) shot in the arm with a bundle of hardware retweaks. The Z series looks to gain the most out of the Spring refresh, with a new <strike>off-white </strike>Carbon Fiber Silver color option set to be offered up alongside an optional LTE modem. The series also gets a processor step-up, with new Intel Core i5 and i7 options up to 3.5GHz, rounded off with the choice of SSD storage. Including the connectable drive, prices for the series refresh will start from ,950. Meanwhile, both the S (13-inch, 0, 15-inch, 0)and E series will get a similar bump to Core i7 processors, with both the S and aforementioned Z series able to lock into an extended sheet battery accessory. If minor processor improvements, more battery options and LTE connectivity enough to fork over your cash, you can expect the revitalized units to arrive early next month.

The Artefact Group has come-up with this concept (WVIL) camera that has a touch interface like the iPhone, wireless capabilities and changeable SLR optics. It is a sign of how the iPhone user interface is becoming the preferred way of interacting with digital devices. And while this is the right way of thinking about the camera of the future, it is unlikely that this kind of camera will succeed. Instead what is going to happen is that with powerful new processors and graphics, we are going to see the acceleration of the software-enabled camera revolution, which will give us access to many of the SLR capabilities.

We know you’ve got questions, and if you’re brave enough to ask the world for answers, here’s the outlet to do so. This week’s Ask Engadget inquiry is coming to us from Everest, who ain’t skeered to dip his toes in the Linux sea. If you’re looking to send in an inquiry of your own, drop us a line at ask [at] engadget [dawt] com.

“Hey guys! I’m building a new computer with Ubuntu Linux in mind, and was wondering what motherboards (preferably from Intel or ASUS, but any reputable brand will do) you folks would recommend with great compatibility for stuff like WiFi straight out of the box? Compatibility with the first- or second-gen Intel Core i processors would be great, too. Thanks!”

Anyone who has dabbled in Linux knows the pains of incompatibility — it’s the price we pay for being exactly who we want to be — but if you’ve got any trouble-free recommendations, comments are open!

The eye-catching P220 ultraportable isn’t the only system LG is showcasing at Computex — the Korean manufacturer is also gracing Intel’s booth with the W300, an all-in-one with a few tricks up its sleeve. Not only is that 23-inch display using a beautiful IPS panel (full HD), but it’s even 3D-capable and includes a touchscreen in some versions. Yes, this isn’t your father’s PC. A variety of processors are available including Intel’s Core i7 with room for up to 8 GB of DDR3 RAM. Some models are paired with AMD’s Radeon HD 6650M video card. Blu-ray is an option, and storage maxes out at 750GB. The computer takes some visual cues from Apple’s iMac (the stand), but still manages to have its own personality. The display is quite thin, and while the model we played with didn’t appear to offer the touchscreen option, it did feature a Core i5 CPU. Take a look at the gallery below, and hit the break for our hands-on video and LG’s press release.

Now, this 23-inch beast is on sale with a variety of quad-core Core i5 and Core i7 Sandy Bridge CPUs. To recap, what makes the 610 special is its rigid hinge, which allows the 1080p display to slide down so that it’s face-up, and nearly flat at a 60-degree angle — a more ergonomic position for poking ’round the TouchSmart software while standing. Like pretty much every other HP computer on the market, it comes standard with Beats Audio and, depending on how much money you’re willing to shell out, you can trick it out with up to 16GB of RAM, 2TB of storage, and your choice of NVIDIA or ATI graphics with up to 2GB of video memory. Those Sandy Bridge models are available now starting at ,100, though as always, you can get an entry-level configuration with quad-core AMD innards for 0 and up.

We just heard talk of a new 15.6-inch Dell laptop yesterday that was said to be thin and streamlined, and Mobile Review has now scored some pictures of what may be that very laptop. While there’s unfortunately not much in the way of details, the laptop is apparently dubbed the XPS 15z, and it’s said to pack Sandy Bridge Core i5 and Core i7 processors. What’s more, the site is also reporting that this laptop is just part of a series, with both 14-inch and 17-inch models also on the way. Hit up the link below for few additional shots.

So what’s the best method of tracking cell phones? This article is just about this topic. Can you really do it? Anyone can do it once you know where to get a good solution. Before it was hard to do although it turned into a common trick anyone can pull off.

Some of the justifications why you may want to do this is to protect your family. Or to to identify culprits in a situation or another. The way it actually works is accessing a phone’s processors made for this purpose. This is how you can mobile phone tracking.

You must make use of one of two types of technology. The original choice is by using one of a kind components you hook up within the specific phone. Installation isn’t the issue. The worry stems from the fact that it can break easily.

A more flexible solution is using cell phone spy software. This is the newest tool of doing it. Upload the programas per the instructions and before anyone can notice anything you should be able to read all the text messages.

One thing you may not know is this tracking feature is just one of the features it has. You may access deleted text messages too. What’s more the conversations are recorded too. If the batteries are out of the cell, it won’t work though. But otherwise you can track it anytime you want.

Don’t feel bad for wanting to do this, and know many parents are making use of this capability to keep an eye on their kids. Rest assured. You have a right to do this on your own phone. Ask a lawyer first and you will see what’s OK and what is not. Tracking mobile phones is definitely accurate simply because it makes use of a worldwide system of space assets.

Next you need to end up with one specific mobile spy application you will purchase. There are some that work well and some not so much, I must warn you my friend. Don’t be overwhelmed with all the solutions. You might want only the basic options , on the other hand maybe you wish to have the capacity to listen to conversations too.

As long as you choose to use the top rated spy application you should feel at ease. Because you’ll be able to monitor everything. Regrettably a number of offerings don’t record everything. I have been in this market for many years so I think my opinion has weight.

Forget about the contradictions, we winnowed down the choices to only a few. If you’re asking me for my recommendation in my opinion you should opt for the following solution labeled as spybubble, that’s quite affordable.

We’ll be honest, we’ve never been the biggest fans of Dell’s colorful, patterned lids — not because some of them are pretty ugly, but because once you choose one hue, you’re stuck with it forever (or at least until you need a new laptop). Well, Dell’s finally solved that piece of the puzzle with its new Inspiron R series — the 14-, 15.6- and 17.3-inch laptops all have swappable lids. Yep, it’s sort of like those interchangeable Swatch watch faces from the 90s — you can snap off the standard black cover, buy a new one for , and latch it right on. But that’s not all Dell’s changed with its mainstream laptops — the rigs now have new chiclet keyboards, HD webcams, and a design that’s similar to the new XPS line.

For a budget system — the 15R starts at 9.99 — they actually feel pretty solid and the internal organs fit the same description. All three of the machines can be configured with brand new Sandy Bridge Core i3, i5, and i7 processors, Blu-ray drives, up to 8GB of RAM, six or nine-cell batteries, and USB 3.0 ports. Dell didn’t forget about the graphics either — the 14 will be available with AMD Radeon HD 6000M options, while the 15 and 17 grab a hold of NVIDIA’s GeForce GT525. All three models should be up for order today on Dell’s website with them heading to retailers later this spring. Hit the break for the full PR / specs and don’t forget to check out the hands-on shots on your way.

There’s no question that the new MacBook Pros are blazingly awesome. The whole line has been rejuvenated with Sandy Bridge processors, better graphics and a lightning fast Thunderbolt I/O port. But one thing has been bothering us about the update, or rather, lack of update: The 13-inch MacBook Pro still has a lower resolution screen. There’s not even an option for a higher-res screen, like the 15-inch Pro. More »
