Congratulations to Andrew S. and his office, for winning our contest

Posted by on Wednesday, 27 January, 2010

Lucky reader Andrew S. was picked by our sophisticated random number generator as the winner of our show us your office contest! Andrew tells us that “the only work that gets done is usually fueled by caffiene and any random snacks I have on hand.” That pretty well describes my own work ethic, so good on yer, Andrew!

Most of the photos sent in to us were traditional office environments. Jung Hoon K. was the only person to submit a photo of an airport lounge (Incheon Airport), and Stephen W. sent us a lovely photo of his daughter riding her bike. Matt H. had the least computer-related photo submission:

Matt O. had the busiest “office” of all the submissions:

And finally, Jeremy C. had the most entertaining submission:

“Kohler makes the best seat,” observes Jeremy. So true.

Thanks to everyone who submitted. We love seeing where you all “work”. Stay tuned for more contests!

ContourHD giveaway has a winner! – or does it? (yes, it does)

Hey, all! Thanks for entering the contest, but as they say: many will enter, few will win. In this case only one: James, who “Did my first backflip snowboarding off a 20 foot cliff, luckily it was all powder I landed in, because i landed pretty much on my head, and my friends had to dig me out of the three feet of powder. It was great.” Watch your email, James.

My random number generator actually put me on a non-extreme one so I rolled up and my mouse landed on this lucky guy. Thing is, he’s not responding to my emails. Consider this public warning, James! Get back to me or tomorrow I’ll have to pick another winner! I’d like this thing to be in someone’s hands by Christmas. Thanks for getting back to me, James! Congrats!

Be sure to keep an eye out for our other giveaways, there’s lots more stuff to be won this holiday season!

Remember a few days ago when I hinted at some exciting Tekken news? No? Well, today I can reveal what I was talking about: thanks to the fine folks at Namco Bandai (its publicists, to be exact) we now have three Tekken art books to give away. You can win one! This will be a very easy contest, believe me.

What do you have to do to win the art book? Just leave a comment right here in this post. I’m running this contest, so I’m not going to make you do anything ridiculous. The contest will run through the weekend, and I’ll announce the winners on Monday.

So to recap:

• You can win one of three Tekken art books. That means three people will win. Each book contains drawings, sketches, etc. of the game’s characters. You know, an art book.

• Leave a comment IN THIS POST to be considered. I’ll run the comments through a random number generator on Monday (comment number one is 1, comment number two is 2, etc.) to select the winners. Presumably we’ll have more than three entrants.

• The contest runs till Monday, November 16 at noon EST.

• You need to be a U.S. resident. I’m not paying $8 million dollars to ship this stuff to Manila or Curitiba. Sorry.

I hope I’ve made this clear.

Good luck~!
