Reasons To Play A Free Roulette Game

Posted by on Tuesday, 10 May, 2011

Casino players are attracted by the idea of playing online roulette games for free. There are several reasons as to why this is the case, I will discuss them now. The main reason is because there are just so many different bets on the roulette table and it makes you want to experiment with your bets.

What I mean by this is that you will want to place different bets all over the table, for different amounts, just to see what the outcome will be. But, if you are playing a real game, this will most likely cost you a lot.

Playing a free game would therefore be your best option. One of the best places to actually play for free is this free roulette page which you can play as long as you want. Another reason as to why people like free games is that the opportunity will be there for you to test out roulette systems on them.

Searching online will bring you back lots of systems to choose from, including free ones and ones that you have to pay for as well. Some of theses systems are good, and some of them are not very good at all, in order to find out though you clearly need to test them.

It would be madness to use a system that you have no experience with in real money play straight away. When you do tests, you always need to do so with free money, so you will not be out of pocket if the system turns out to be useless.

Once you’re done playing for free and are ready to step over into real money games you will obviously want to do it at a fair casino. You will quickly see that there are lots of casinos to choose from, but the good ones are very few and far between.

One of the best ones has to be Bet365 Casino, they will treat you fairly every time. In addition to this, you will get your winnings from them very quickly indeed, when playing in an online casino, this is without a doubt the most important thing.

A Review Of No Deposit Bingo

Posted by on Thursday, 14 April, 2011

This short piece is going to be about bingo sites and the no deposit bonuses that some of them have on offer. I am going to go into more details about what their advantages are and what sites have them, as there are not many.

Firstly, you need to understand what the two different types of bingo that you can play online are. Firstly, there is playing in the free bingo rooms at sites, or there is getting a no deposit bonus and playing with that money. While free bingo rooms are great, you often find that they’re very crowded and the potential prize money is very small.

With a no deposit bonus, you’re free to roam the site and spend the money on whichever games you want. You will therefore get a good idea of what the real money games are like. As the name no deposit bingo suggests, you don’t need to deposit any money to get these bonuses.

After signing up to the site and filling out a form, you will simply get your money. Most of the time there are no strings attached, so you will not end up having to pay any extra costs. You can however only use the bonus to buy cards and try out the site, you cannot simply withdraw it straight away.

So, where can you go to get a no deposit bonus for yourself? One good site is Sing Bingo, they are offering a £10 no deposit bonus at the moment. I have not seen many better ones than this, and you can get a really good feel for their site with it.

Another great advantage to Sing Bingo is what bonuses you get if you become a real money player there. You will receive a 200% first deposit bonus, then for all deposits after your first one, you will get a further 50% bonus too.

Poker Online Free Games Guide To Why You Should Not Use The Minimum Raise

Posted by on Saturday, 26 March, 2011

A simple error many beginner poker players make (and some who should know better) especially on free online poker games sites or when first playing with real money is using the minimum raise allowed. There are mathematical and psychological reasons why raising for the minimum is a bad idea.

Giving the other players good odds

Making a minimum raise defends your preflop hand very little. If you’re holding pocket aces before the flop and you raise the smallest amount possible, it’s likely that many people will call your bet. The result of this will be that more players see the flop.

When more players live to see the flop cheap, there is a bigger chance that your premium hand will weaken and get beaten. The percentages don’t lie. In order to defend your pocket aces or kings, you should bet a decent large amount so that your opponents have to pay big to beat you.

A minimum raise does little to defend your hand after the flop too. If you have flopped a set with your pocket aces and bet the minimum on a risky board, you’re giving the other players the opportunity to beat you.

Suppose that you hold Ad-Ah and the flop comes As-6s-Jc. If the others have flush draws or straight draws, your little bet will not scare them off. They will want to try and make their flush or straight at the Turn. So you need to put down a good sized bet in order to defend your hand and force them to pay to beat you.

Losing out on value

Part of the reason why no limit holdem is such a profitable game is because good players bet the right amount to extract the most value they’re able to from their strong hands.

When you make a minimum bet, you aren’t building much of a pot. You’re not maximizing value from your hand in any way. You need to be betting a decent amount before the flop, at the flop, at the turn, and on the river.

Another reason why reason why no limit holdem is such a profitable game is because good players can let go of a hand that’s not worth fighting for.

You want the other players to commit themselves to the pot by forcing them to put a fair amount of their chips in a pot. It’s easier to fold if you are not pot committed. Minimum betting leads to small pots that some players simply think aren’t worth fighting for.

A typical tell

The minimum raise is known as a sign of a strong hand. In poker, good means weak and weak means good.

Some newbie players think they’re fooling players by betting the minimum, but they’re not. Experienced players understand that a minimum bet can often be a sign of a powerful hand.

You will encounter times when a minimum bet is a true sign of weakness, but a lot the time that simply isn’t the case. This is true both before the flop and after the flop.

This is particularly true any time a player three bets or re-raises for the minimum. Why would someone desire to help you stay in the hand? It’s most likely since they know their hand is clearly the best and want you to give them more chips.

If you are setting out to learn how to play poker or after reading this recognize that your betting and raise practices need brushing up then the best way to improve fast is to play free poker games online. When you play without risk you can test things out minus the anxiety of possible money loss and that makes a huge difference! And if you want learn to play poker for beginners courses then the free poker sites have great intro lessons too.

Top Free Online Poker Games Player Guide To Tactics For Intermediate Connectors Such As 8-7

Posted by on Monday, 21 March, 2011

In Texas Hold’em real money and free online poker games intermediate connectors such as 8,7 and 7,5 are played as they are the best hands with which you can hit a Straight with. With 8-7, you can form four Straights (three of them nuts), and with 7-5 you can form three Straights (two of them nuts). The difficulty is, as ever, how to play them to the best effect so in this free poker tips article that is what we will give you some pointers on.

Intermediate connectors aren’t played as strongly when they Pair. For instance, should you have 8-7 and the Flop comes K-7-2, you will be justifiably concerned with the King and you may fold.

Also, it is likely that you can flop Two-Pair. With 8-7 and a Flop of 8-7-A, you can get a player with A-K in trouble.

If both of you continue until the end, and your opponent’s hand doesn’t improve, he will slow it down trying to show it down. If the hand does improve it will be obvious as when he bets and you can just pay him off. He can pair his kicker or not, and whether he does, you still have a good showdown hand.

The best play (in your interest) is for your opponent to call all-in or move all-in on the Flop (during tournaments). However, this is only the case if the difference in chips between you and the all-in’er is large. If you have almost the same amount of chips, your 8-7 may not be good enough because your opponent may be willing only to call you with something like A-8 or, worse, 7-7.

Or he might call you with A-K and suckout when he pairs his Ace, his kicker, or when, say, a 10 hits the Turn, and another 10 hits the river then his Two-Pair is better. If one stack is small and the other large, and you’ve got the little stack then you have a good hand someone holding an A-K might be willing to call. If you have the large stack, your all-in opponent might be anxious for a call with his A-x (without Two-Pair) until he knows you have him steamrollered.

Usually you continue playing Two-Pair until you hit a Full House. With this hand, play it as you would play a made 5-card hand – value betting, pretending to bluff, slow-playing (pick your choice). However, should the Board comes 8-7-5, you may be willing to play it more slowly because if the Board comes 4, Six or 9, your Two-Pair might be almost unplayable.

Through the Flop, bet substantially to push a Straight draw out. Should your opponent calls, it may signify a Straight draw. Should your opponent moves all-in or pushes you all-in, then call – or not call.

Still you are the favorite over a Straight draw. You might also be able to hit a Full House later on. But also you can choose not to call because your opponent may have a made Straight. In an 8,7,5 board, the probability of a Flopped Straight is fairly small as players don’t play 9,6 or 6,4 very much.

But you should be careful in a Board of 8-7-J or 8-7-4, because their connectors are consecutive numbers, i.e. 10-9 and 6-5, and players, especially experienced ones, play these more often.

However, even if the Board comes something such as 8-7-4-5-Q, providing you are sure, or even half-sure, that your opponent does not have the Six, bet a small bet on the river. Should your opponent has 9-8 or Q-x, you may be paid off.

Should your opponent had the Six, you may be pushed, but you can fold without losing much. The thing is, you should keep your aggression most of the time as part of your image, and you will do this by value-betting. If your opponent didn’t have the Six, he may think that you had the Six, and he may fold, too.

And finally, here’s an addendum to our earlier example. Should you have 8-7 and the Flop comes K-7-2, you may fold. But you can also call a bet – you hope that your opponent had A-K – and if an 8 comes and you bet big, how will your opponent know you had another 8 in the hole? So long as you feel your opponent does not have K-8 or K-7 (not likely) both of you can get it all-in on the Turn – and you’ll emerge almost a victor.

This can be a fairly complex subject and if you’re not quite getting it then go play internet poker for free to master it the only real way you can which is to do it for real but learn to play poker free so that any mistakes you make don’t cost you anything apart from time.

Apple Contemplating Reduction in 15-Minute App Purchase Window

Posted by on Thursday, 17 February, 2011

In an apparent response to rising concerns about children buying costly virtual goods in freemium apps, Apple is reportedly discussing the possibility of reducing a 15-minute purchase window for users to buy successive apps or purchase in-app goods with only one password sign-in. According to PocketGamer, a source said the company is looking at reducing the amount of time it holds on to a password in a possible effort to stem unwanted app purchases.

The story quoted Capcom, maker of popular freemium title Smurfs’ Village, which said it was open to any changes in the rules that would limit inadvertent app purchases. Developer Recharge Studios, the maker of Dolphin Play, released a statement today calling upon Apple to make a number of changes to its in-app purchase system including a requirement for password input for each purchase. “Our primary concern at Recharge Studios is maintaining a high level of consumer transparency. Ensuring the consumer understands the in-app purchase process and refund process is absolutely necessary to help avert confusion,” said CEO Andrew Johnson.

Apple allows iOS users to sign-in and buy an app or in-app purchase and then have 15 minutes to make more purchases before the password is required again. As I reported before, parents and at least one legislator have raised the issue around Apple’s in-app purchases system, which has led to cases of children buying hundreds, sometimes thousands of dollars of virtual goods in games pitched to children. My colleague Kevin’s step daughter racked up 5 dollars in one game before he realized. Rep. Edward J. Markey (D – MA) last week urged the Federal Trade Commission to review the way Apple markets its apps because of questions about the ease with which children are buying items in games.

Some game publishers like Capcom have begun putting in warnings in their games explaining that the virtual goods cost real money. Recharge Studios has called upon Apple to make a similar warning required on App Store descriptions of apps that have in-app purchases. As I reported earlier, game publishers don’t want to make parents angry with inadvertent purchases, but they can’t change the password rules. Only Apple can.

Narrowing or closing the password sign-in period would seem like an easy thing for Apple to do, but so far, it hasn’t seemed inclined to make the change. Apple already has parental controls in its iOS settings menu that can restrict all in-app purchases. Apple reiterated that to me last week, saying “a password is required to buy any goods in the App Store including using in-app purchases and parents can use our parental controls settings to restrict app downloading and turn off in-app purchasing.”

The question is, will Apple erect another protection against inadvertent app and in-app purchases? The ease of use in downloading apps, often in quick succession, has been one of the reasons why the App Store has flourished. Narrowing the window of time for a password could create more frustration for users. And requiring a password for each purchase each time could be a bigger annoyance. And it might also discourage some spontaneous app purchases, which is something Apple, with its 30 percent cut of all revenue derived from App Store spending, does not want. It sounds like Apple is at least now open to discussing the issue, so stay tuned. We could see some changes real soon. Or not. It’s Apple.
