Showcase Work Of Art With Aesthetics In Mind

Posted by on Sunday, 3 October, 2010

Rules when it comes to hanging pictures result from having an experience lasting for years.The first rule is not to hang pictures on all of the walls unless you’ve always yearned to live in an art gallery and only hang a picture should a wall seem bare without it. I’m all for hanging pictures in groups, over a sofa, console table, server, or small pier table.

Other than this a second rule applies. When there is furniture underneath do not make the groupings wider than this. Pictures varying in sizes should be hung closer together if you want to achieve a unified look.Maybe you have a prized collection of bird prints but the frames do not match and their sizes vary. Hang them close together in pleasing geometrics not frame against frame, however. See this custom oil painting from photo information for a deeper understanding.

Yet another rule. In close proximity may be how pictures are hung but the wall acts as a frame which serves to set off a group of pictures on all four sides. Considering pleasing geometry this simply means that pictures are hung in the formation of a square or a rectangle. If what you have with you are four pictures all framed alike and of the same size you should try hanging them vertically above a small step table, geometrically in a square over the sofa, or in a straight line over a long table. Hanging pictures in a step pattern should only be done when there is a staircase. Straight lines meeting at nice right angles make for the best arrangements. Working better than others most of the time is a little regimentation.

Let’s say you have a group of pictures of various sizes and subjects, a lifetime accumulation of ever changing favorites that includes old family portraits, prints, reproductions, originals. A good option to take would be to unify these when hung together by framing and matting everything alike. There was a friend who used gold frames for 16 prints matting then in forest green. After being set against a red wall the look was outstanding. Using a unique shade when she matted each picture over her sofa was the way a friend added color. The pictures were of the same sizes as well as of the same subject.

Did you ever feel that something was missing as you stared into a department store model room? Regardless of how picture perfect the room is no one ever ate, slept, lived, and took phone calls in there. There is an absence of individuality. This is an important part of your home. Here is further info on cheap oil paintings.

Selling furniture is easier done with the department store model as a home is designed for the purpose of providing you with comfort and pleasure. Important in this case is that you pick your favorite color. The room’s mood can easily be affected by the color you choose. When it comes to colors these carry different emotions. If you have no colors in mind then go look at several color charts to help you find just the right color. Follow your individual choice and you’ll be right most of the time.

Best Electronic Gifts

Posted by on Monday, 26 April, 2010

I think that choosing the best electronic gifts is something that actually depends on the personality of the person that you are going to give the gift to. But we are going to show you some unusual items that may just be your next best electronic gifts choice.
<-300×250 Medium Rectangle – center->

For example, if you have a friend which has trouble sleeping, there is no better remedy than the Dreamate Sleep Inducer. The price of this gift is $79.99 so it’s not like you are going to make a hole in your budget by gifting this to anyone. This gizmo uses special acupressure techniques that are going to massage gently the “sleeping golden triangle” of your left wrist. You have to use the Dreamate Sleep Inducer 30 minutes before bedtime and this will help reset your biological clock and help your body relax so you can get a good night sleep. You will start to see the first results after one week of using it and the best results are visible in about 8 weeks. The Dreamate Sleep Inducer is successful because it knows exactly which point to press and which ones to massage to lower the stress level and induce that gentle, relaxing sensation that you get when you are about to fall asleep.

The next item is more of a gift that you give to a person who you know is crazy about saving money and is planning to start with monitoring the quantity of water used. This gadget is priced at $24.95 and it is called the Save A Drop Hose Nozzle. I think that we all waste a lot of water when watering the plants in our garden because on warm sunny days I tend to leave the water running to make those poor plants happy. And I can never really tell how much water I am using. That can all change if you also use the Save A Drop Hose Nozzle which is going to tell you exactly how much water you are using. The nozzle works just like a regular one as it has a 5 inch nonslip grip plus multiple spray patterns. Another super feature of this nozzle is that no matter what is your water pressure, the water flow will be consistent and steady.

The last item of this best electronics gifts list is something you could give out to a person who loves gadgets that are used for interior decorations. The Snakkes Chat Bubble Wall Lamp is just a bit more than you usual looking wall lamp. It is shaped like a speech bubble and you can write different messages on it and then later wipe them out. Too bad that it costs $300 which is quite a spicy price for a wall lamp. You can use a simple whiteboard marker as the lamp is really easy to clean. The frame is made of steel and I am telling you this just to give you a hint that you are dealing with high quality material.

New High Tech Gadgets

Posted by on Monday, 26 April, 2010

It’s time for the new high tech gadgets that have recently shown themselves to us users. If you were looking to buy a video projector but were not sure what to choose, we are happy to let you know that Sanyo has announced its new XGA video projectors. In fact, we are talking about 4 new projectors. The first is the PLC-WM5500 that has a LNS-S20 with a standard zoom lens. The second is the PLC-WM5500L that has a brightness of 5,500 ANSI lumens. The third new video projector is the PLC-WM 4500 that has a LNS-S20 zoom lens and the PLC-WM4500L that has a brightness of 4,500 ANSI lumens. The prices of these video projectors are a bit too much for the average person to afford. The PLC-WM5500 costs $5645, the PLC-WM4500L costs $4,095, the PLC-WM4500 is priced at $4,545 while the PLC-WM5500L costs $4,995.

These projectors operate very differently from whatever you may have seen so far because they can display two different video sources at the same time. The Picture by Picture mode is going to display 2 images in fixed positions. These 2 images are going to be equal in size. You can also use the Picture in Picture mode which is going to show a smaller picture inside a full-frame image. In fact, I think it is safe to say that this projector can actually do the job of two projectors.

The second choice for out new high tech gadgets report is the Maxatec Xplore DT-351 Compact PDA. This is not just any regular PDA if we consider the fact that it comes with a Barcode Scanner. Even if smart phones have pretty much taken over the business and the PDA market is slowly fading away, I think that this PDA is still going to have a couple of buyers. It comes with a 802.11 b/g built in wireless and the Windows CE 5.0 operating system – professional edition.  The integrated CCD barcode scanner is one of the best features but there are still some other cool things that you get when buying the Maxatec Xplore DT-351 Compact PDA. The roaming trigger is configurable so you can adjust the roaming response on different networks. The handwriting recognition utility can recognize both English and Chinese. The enhanced power management can deliver a very long operating period.

The last item I wanted to present is the new HTC Sence DROID which has just been announced by Verizon Wireless. I know that you think that there are too many smart phones on the market so this one will probably not make the difference. If you are however interested in getting your hand on this cool new cell phone, you should know that it comes with a 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor which is going to make this cell phone run its application really fast. The 3.7 inch display is a beauty as it features touch screen capacities and a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. It comes with a lot of other cool features like integrated GPS and an 8 megapixel camera which is bound to take amazing pictures.

Cool Hi Tech Gadgets

Posted by on Friday, 23 April, 2010

When it comes to Cool Hi-Tech gadgets, I think that nothing can actually beat those cute little robots that help around by doing lots of cool stuff. I mean, what could be more hi-tech than a machine that imitates an actual human being? Let me give you a more accurate example. The PR2 is one of those Cool Hi-Tech gadgets that I was talking to you about because it is a machine that can fold towels. Of course, this little fellow still needs some improvements but it’s actually quite funny looking and useful.
<-300×250 Medium Rectangle – center->

The PR2 is not available for purchase but I think it’s going to have a lot more success in the hotel business rather than people buying it for their home use. I think it’s going to be a little too expensive. Even if it has managed to score 100% in all tests and trials, it still needs some work because the speed is simply terrible.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s0Z1EaFFICI&feature=player_embedded is one link to a very interesting video. If we first checked out the robot that can fold towels but it still under testing and improvement phase, how about a robot that is actually out there, in a restaurant in Thailand and it serves the customers just like a regular human writer? With big and round eyes, this robot actually looks kind of cute. It sure seems friendly. I have always seen robots as mean killing machines, but yet again, I watch too many movies. We are not sure in what conditions this robot is designed but since we haven’t heard about anyone else using it, it must have been especially ordered by the owner who, by the way, spent $930.000 to get this restaurant up and running. I also wonder if he also takes your order or does he just deliver it to your table. And how does he know which table to deliver the meal to?

The next and last of our Cool Hi-Tech gadgets is another robot. But this one is a bit different as it does not resemble any human being and it is something that can actually save a lot of lives. The Hoya robot is a very small little gadgets that can go into burning buildings and since it has an integrated camera, it can offer images of what is going on inside. It took 2 years to develop this little robot which is under testing by 50 different fire stations in Korea. The robot is able to show imaged on a 54 yard radius and with the onboard lighting system it can also record images in the dark. It can also check a building for gas, smoke and temperature. Not only that, but it can stand to temperatures that reach even 320 degrees Fahrenheit.  Aside from all these cool features, the robot is also water resistant and it can resist to drops of even 6 feet. On a full charge, it can operate about 30 minutes.  I wonder how many lives is this robot going to save…

Zen Mp3 Player

Posted by on Friday, 23 April, 2010

The Zen mp3 player is one of the best mp3 players that you can find on the market. This article is dedicated to the Creative Zen X-Fi player that comes at a price of $149 for the 8 GB version, $199 for the 16 GB version and $279 for the 32 GB version. The prices are not that high considering that you get a player with a lot of internal storage room plus some of the coolest features that you can find on a modern mp3 player.
<-300×250 Medium Rectangle – center->

On the bottom of the player you will notice the speaker while the right side is host to the headphones jack and one mini USB port. On the top there is an SD card slot plus a microphone jack. On the back of the player you will notice a power and hold switch. It is very simple to get contents on this Zen mp3 player and if you are running Rhapsody or Windows Media Player, there is no need for any extra software to synchronize your player to your PC.

You do get the Creative Centrale software which is great to install if you want to copy a lot of videos on your Zen mp3 player. The menu of this Zen mp3 player is very easy to use, with music files which are sorted by album and playlist and so forth. Even the photo viewer of this player is amazing.  You can zoom and rotate pictures and even watch slideshows while you are listening to music. The audio file formats supported by this player are MP3, WMA, WAV and AAC and the video file format should be MPEG4, AVI and WMV. The built in microphone is useful for voice recording and there is also an integrated FM radio. Since the player comes with an integrated speaker, you can now share music with your friends surrounding you. The SD card slot allows you to extend the memory of the player in case the integrated one is not enough. Audio playback is excellent as the sound coming out of this player is impeccable.

The included display of this player is simply beautiful as the colors are sharp and vibrant and photo viewing is a pleasure. It almost looks like you are watching photos on a cell phone. The horizontal viewing angles are good when you want to show your pictures to your friends. Inside the box you will also get a pair of EP-830 earphones which sound great and they make a good team together with the Zen mp3 player. Battery life is very important when you buy a mp3 player because you may want to listen to music on a long flight so it must provide you with long hours of audio playback. 11 hours of audio playback is what this player has scored during tests. The figures are ok but they are very low compared to the 36 hours that the Creative Company initially promised. Video playback can last a maximum 5 hours and a half.
