But it isn’t a bad thing.  What separates a good photographer from a great photographer is how you use the lighting.An example would be overcast days when it is great to take outdoor shots.But make sure that the sun’s rays are not against the shot if the day is sunny.  That way you can use the natural lighting.

First tip would be about focus.Or in other words how to focus correctly on your subject.  Obviously being a San Diego wedding photographer it is very important in weddings.  But when you don’t center your subject it can get out of focus.To resolve that you must first put in the center of your shot the subject.Then you should half press so that the camera would focus on the subject.Then put them to the side and go take the shot.This would look great if you want subjects at the side of the photo.

Next tip is really good for action shots.  As a San Diego event photography service a lot of events are going to be action oriented events.This means that your subject would always be on the move.The trick is to do the half press again.  That way it focuses on the subject and reduces the shutter delay.This would lead to an action photo that will not be blurred.

Final tip is about the subject getting too bright.  This happens a lot doing San Diego commercial photographer work.The trick here is to utilize the camera features.The trick is to point the camera at something brighter than the subject. That way the camera automatically makes it less brighter.And once the camera has done making it less brighter then go take a photo of the subject.You will notice that the subjects are not as bright anymore.

Last tip is to make your photos bigger than life.Because this is bigger than life event for those people involved.  So as a San Diego event photography service I have learned doing big events how to do this.What I mean by this is to not only capture small pictures or standard pictures.You have to take shots that would make the moment seem bigger.

But of course doing all of these tips would require some artisitc side in you.But if you can understand where I am coming form then the wedding photos that you would take would turn out really good.The photos would not jsut translate into some boring photo album.But pictures and an album that will be able to show the emotions shown during that speical day.

Another way of improving your photography skills is by entering and joining a photography competition.Nothing compares to bringing out one’s competitive juices by joining competitions.Doing your best is great for these competitions.And what’s good about this is that at the end of the competition you can gauge how you performed by comparing your work to other works. Doing San Diego event photography this has helped me see where I need to improve in as well as see my strengths.And the bonus is that you get to receive a nice award if you win.
