Delkin Elite 633 claims to be the fastest SDHC card with 80MBps write speeds

Posted by on Saturday, 9 April, 2011

We can’t say we’re pleased that camera makers still haven’t called an armistice in their megapixel war, but a race for the speediest memory card is one battle we can get behind. Delkin says its 32GB Elite 633 SDHC is the fastest in the world, with 80MBps and 95MBps write and read speeds, respectively, handily trumping Sony’s new Memory Sticks that so recently impressed us. This card’s ideal for people who shoot gobs of 1080p video, 3D movies, and high-resolution shots coupled with RAW files, but with a price of 0, it’s only worth it for pros. And debutants.

SDHC Cards And Exactly What They Are Useful For

Posted by on Thursday, 3 February, 2011

SDHC cards are the new storage system for cameras SDHC cards have become the future of memory cards now that the digital camera industry is progressing towards recording video clips in high definition. I recently bought a digital camera that recommended a SDHC memorycard that would give enough space and the potential to capture video clips in the High definition format.

Usually, a SDHC card can be purchased in a number of sizes which also figure out how expensive the card will be. I have seen SDHC cards in 4, 8GB SD cards, 16, and 32 gigabyte storage space. These kinds of cards can be purchased in various types, which figure out the rate at which the files could be written and downloaded from the card.

I have found that the class 6 cards are likely the most sensibly priced and also most favored. They are very efficient at copying files at a good speed, transferring the information at 6 throughput. Should you be thinking these memory cards may be out of your price range, you may be wrongly diagnosed. Depending on what brand you select, you could get one of the lower end storage amounts under $10.

Even though digital cameras that take SDHC cards could also read SD cards, you must ensure your digital camera is compatible with the high definition format as it will not recognize an SDHC card if it is not compatible. One brand that I would recommend for SDHC memory cards is Transcend. This brand provides a lifetime extended warranty on their product and is also compatible with any device that supports the SDHC cards.

They provide the Class 6 cards in all the storage amounts I listed before and are affordable. With regards to what SDHC storage amount you should obtain, it actually depends upon what resolution you are capturing your shots at. Digital cameras that capture photos at a higher resolution such as 12 or 14 megapixels would benefit from having a SDHC card that has a 8 gigabyte storage space or greater.

Also, you will have to make sure the card reader in your television or computer is compatible with the high definition format. A few of the older computers will not recognize the data format and will not easily copy pictures from the card to the computer system, or you may face difficulties when playing video clips in high definition on your television.
