The Spanish government has passed legislation aimed at cracking down on websites illegally sharing digital content. Called the Sinde Law, it will create a new government commission that Spanish right holders can engage when they feel that a site is illegally distributing their content. After an alleged infraction, the commission examines the complaint and determines if, under the new statute, legal action is necessary. Should a site be found in violation, the case is passed to a judge and the decision is made either to shutter the offending website, take action against the site’s service provider or dismiss the complaint altogether. The BBC reports that the entire process, from first report to final decision, should take no more than ten days. Open internet activists have voiced concerns about the breadth and implications of the law. United States residents will recognize many of the arguments for and against the Sinde Law in light of the SOPA Act (Stop Online Piracy Act) debate that’s been raging here in the United States for several months.

Europeans have all the fun: lower drinking ages, funner beaches, easier lifestyles and… dinosaur skeletons having sex in their museums. This exhibit, which clearly shows two T-Rexes “mating”, is located in the Jurassic Museum of Asturias in Spain. More »

We have a variety of reasons for transporting our vehicles under something besides their own individual power. When we reside in Europe we’ve the relative independence in order to travel and live in other countries within the Union, lots of which can be a substantial distance from the place of origin.

Many of us might be arranging a fortnight’s holiday in sun-drenched Italy or even Spain and make a decision we need to have our personal car, but don’t thrive on the thought of driving there and back again. On the other side of this spectrum, we might have a racing car of some kind and want to be involved in a race or even a rally internationally.

As one would expect, auto shipping doesn’t have to be as complex as it appears, particularly if you choose the appropriate shipping and delivery associate to help you. As could possibly be expected you will find procedures to follow along with and documents to complete and you also have to take into account the timeframe that the vehicle is going to be effectively out of your hands while travelling.

Few of us are fortunate enough to be able to afford the luxury associated with vehicle shipping by air, which is the ultimate method of transportation if time is an issue. For most people, we must consider shipping either in a container or using a “roll on, roll off” ferry of some kind.

When you explore car shipping there are numerous items that you must consider. Fundamentally, your vehicle needs to be roadworthy, however when it is not — as an example it may be a valuable, antique vehicle of some kind — then you can certainly more often than not reach a good arrangement subject to the payments of additional service fees. If it has been sent from the Uk you will have to have the V5 logbook and maybe the existing MOT certificate as well.

The business that you choose to assist you to accomplish the transfer will be able to setup necessary arrangements with a remote clearing agent and customs agent, who can deal with the arrival of the vehicle at the destination port. You can do that oneself, needless to say, however it only adds another level of difficulty to what is almost sure to become a rather stress filled period of time, anyhow!

When your vehicle is sent in a container, typically it is possible to include some other things that you need shipped within the vehicle. Remember that a person will be needing access to the controls of the vehicle per se, to be able to manoeuvre it in to and out from position, though, so do not go over the top.

It is recommended that you simply sign up for insurance coverage to cover the value of the vehicle during transit. The premium sum is commonly based on the property value of the vehicle that you declare and the very best insurance policies will not only include damages, but shipping and delivery expenses at the same time under most situations.

It seems that the entire world is a very compact place today and we are all much more mobile compared with what we used to be!

Historically a Christian festival, Carnival welcomes the excuse for a party before lent starts. It isn’t known with much clarity about the appearance of floats, masks and costumes, but Barcelona and particularly the beach city of Sitges make the most of this aspect!

Sitges was a backwater – some distance from the holiday maker track. A place for locals and passing fisherman bringing their boats to harbor. How things have changed! Sitges is jumping with buzz and excitement all the year round – but especially in the spring at the time of the Sitges carnival. This little Catalan city near to Barcelona is a fairly mix of cultures and ways of living. If you need to enjoy a different Carnival, you need to spend it in Barcelona, make sure you book your apartment Barcelona with time.

In Sitges, there are many parades and official acts accompanied by standard foods and drink. The concept of “Carnaval” is embraced by all of society, with little kids preparing in faculties for the coming of “Carnestoltes” which roughly translates as “King of the lunatics” and is the King of the festival! Carnestoltes visits schools in Sitges and travels around with his Queen on the Thursday or “Fat Thursday” and it’s standard to eat Spanish Omelettes and sweet breads known as “coques / cocas” which are decorated with candied fruits and pine nuts, as an example.
Sun. evening is a luxurious ceremony known as the Debauchery Parade and in spite of technically being winter, everybody fills the streets for the parade and costumes are just as skimpy as you might find on the beaches of Ipenima! Sitges is a favourite resort for gays, so many of the complicated floats are full of superb costumes worn by drag queens and it is a great party feeling.

Barcelona city also organizes a holiday route which closes off some of the city’s main arteries for traffic and generally has a pretty decent following with many nationalities being represented on the floats, music from their various cultures blasting out as the parade crosses city. This is a larger scale operation, however it fights to reproduce the fantastic atmosphere in the bordering city of Sitges. Sitges also has a beautiful beach front and is easily accessed from Barcelona city – simply a twenty minute train ride away. If you are visiting Barcelona during holiday week sometime soon, be totally sure to include Sitges on your check-list, and be certain to book your apartment in barcelona in advance.

Planning a journey to the Catalan City can be challenging – finding the time to register everything you would like to visit can be a complicated task, not wanting to leave something out. Kilometres of seashores, Gothic and Roman history, UNESCO international Heritage Places and traditional gastronomy to delight the visitors may be only the beginning. If you are an fine art apprentice or scholar, The catalonian capital has enough to offer.

These are only a few of the remarkable possibilities Barcelona has to suggest you. Finding time to get to know the capital will bring you to selected monuments you never believed existed. A tiny vacation will for certain do you well, but nevertheless won’t make it enough to exhaust all that the country has to offer you. These spots are not only recognized among travelers but also by the Spanish people themselves.

Catalan personality, Joan Miro has left his sign all around the capital, with the city’s airport giving you the initial exemplar of the artist’s peculiar style with vibrant main colors adorning the side of terminal 2. The painter has a painting on the cobblestones of Las Ramblas, and even a playing field dedicated to his effort with an enormous figure in the Sants district. Furthermore up on Montjüic, lies the Fundacio Joan Miro in a pallid building with brilliant place and brilliant views over Barcelona.

The Fundacio Antoni Tapies is located at Eixample in a Domenech i Montaner created house that includes a monument lying on the roof. Tapies was born in The catalonian capital in 1923 and is in all probability the greatest Spanish painter to be known ever since the Fifties. Tàpies started as a surrealist visual artist but quickly become an abstract expressionist, painting in a method known as “Arte Povera”. In 1953 he commenced working in mixed media and was one of the first persons to generate significant art in this way, adding clay as well as sandstone dirt to his work and incorporating waste paper, rope, as well as rags in his workings.

Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya is one of Spain’s huge museums housing ancient, nineteenth and twentieth century creations from Catalonia. Housed in the outstanding Palau Nacional at the base of Montjuic, its Romanesque exhibition is said to be the world’s best. There are many frescoes as well as Gothic art on the lives and deaths of saints – several are not for the timid. It is as well renowned for its Modernista exhibition.

Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art. This art museum is in the 11th place in the recognition catalog in The catalonian capital. Its artwork majorly deals with paintings by great painters of the 2nd half of twentieth century. The exhibitions here vary every few months and therefore it is recommended to complete a study on what is been shown to make your holiday there useful for you.
