How Would We Survive Without The Camera

Posted by on Friday, 8 January, 2010

Nearly everyone in developed countries uses a camera almost everyday in some form ot another whether it is on the mobile phone, digital camera, speed camera or even a webcam. The question is, where would we be without all of this technology?

Memories

Although the camera has not just been put to this use its main one is photo taking on things like holidays and weddings. It would be very difficult to remember some of the best times without the camera in our lives. Photos are really good when you get a bit older as they keep all of those memories going. They are also a great way to remember the people that have passed on as they remind you of all of the good times you had.

Military

It has to be said that without the camera there is no way the police force and army would be as good as it is today. The camera is attached to nearly all police choppers so they can see exactly what is going on. Military use UAV to plan a lot of their battles as it shows things like positions of troops and the surronding landscape.

Satellite

Believe it or not satellite technology is based heavily on the camera so without these we would be stuffed as we wouldnt be able to see storms or spy on other nations.

Pain

The only problem with all of this is if you drop your camera and it breaks which is why you really should look into getting camera insurance. General gadget insurance will cover you too but it could also be worth looking into cheap laptop insurance if you have a laptop

Wooden USB Flash Drive

Posted by on Wednesday, 23 December, 2009

The beer filled and hot chili pepper USB drive may have cause a lot of excitement among USB flash drive users, here’s another innovatively designed USB flash drive that scores high on its novel concept. Move over the beer filled USB drive, it’s time for some nature friendly gadgets.

Okay, let’s get in detailing of this an out-and-out original USB Flash Drive/pen drive:

Flashsticks (UK) has come out with a wooden treated pen drive. For more on it, read below the details about the pen drive I found on this blog (onlygizmos) :

“Flashsticks (UK) makes some really cool and natural wooden pen drives. Each of these USB flash drives are made from locally hardwood wood from a renewable source. The wood is collected from the woods of Berkshire in England. This is fallen wood from the previous winter’s storms. Thus no two of these drives are similar.”

Well, isn’t that cool? A pen drive with a touch of technology and nature. This in fact is a good idea of creating awareness about {Go Green concept|green environment} and usage of eco-friendly {product|stuff}. Now this is called a perfect example of nature and science.

Flashsticks has been a regular manufacturing such creative gadgets. And this time it’s all more innovative. Check out the pictures of the wooden gadget and its price along with some more details here on the post Flashsticks:USB Drive Gets A Touch Of Nature.

I surely am going to buy one and plug it into my computer to constantly keep me reminded of keeping the environment green and using eco-friendly products. How about you? ( if you find this environment talk boring; the wooden pen drive can serve you another purpose too – yes, you can make a style statement with this wooden USB drive. Now what say?)

And now Verizon pushed Bing Mobile onto BlackBerry Storms

Posted by on Monday, 2 November, 2009

Alright, Verizon, you’re doing it wrong. Stop pushing apps onto my BlackBerry Storm. Within the last few months, YouTube, a Verizon-linked verizon of Slacker Radio, VZW Tones, and a V Cast Video app have been pushed to my phone. I thought that’s what App World is for; you know, apps. But now a terrible mobile version of Bing was pushed onto my Storm. Seriously, stop it.

House damages that can be caused by water problems

Posted by on Monday, 12 October, 2009

Accidents happen in homes. One of the common causes of accidents to houses is flooding. It may be caused by a damaged pipe.Or it can also be caused by a defective sink or toilet. Or worse it can be caused by a natural disaster like flooding or storms. When water causes problems in your house it may lead to many more damages which can be problematic.  In this article we are going to look at some of those damages.

One of the obvious damages that can happen in a flood is damage to your items.  Damages to your furniture or flooring can be extensive.  I have seen people’s entire furniture sets ruined by a flood in my San Diego water damage work.Seeing your expensive furnitures getting damaged due to water problems is not a sight to behold.

So the best thing to do in a flood is to get all items out of the water as quickly as possible.Draining out the water out of the house immediately after removing your things from harm’s way is the next thing you should do.You yourself can usually do this.  But if it is extensive damage you will want a flood damage restoration company to be able to drain the rest of the water for you.Because you can save more in damages the faster you can remove the water inside your house.

Finally, molds is one of the common damages caused by flooding.  Mold is one of the toughest things to get rid of.Molds growing inside our houses are usually unavoidable especially when flood gets into our houses.  So the best thing you can do is hire a mold removal San Diego company. A homeowner who is not a professional when it comes to mold removal is not the right person to do so.You should want to call for a professional’s help to remove it for you. This is important because molds can cause diseases which will bring more expenses. And if your family’s health is at risk then you should take necessary precautions to avoid it.

There will definitely be damages inflicted to your house caused by flooding. But as long as you can do these things faster then it will be better for you and your items.
