Purported shot of Nikon’s mirrorless mount surfaces, camera remains shy

Posted by on Saturday, 23 July, 2011
We’ve already heard plenty of talk about Nikon’s forthcoming entry into the world of mirrorless cameras, and it looks like we now have our first real peek at the actual goods. Unfortunately, it’s just a look at the mount, not the whole camera (said to be codenamed X810), but it does appear to be the real deal (and was apparently removed from the Chinese forum it surfaced on, Xitek, at Nikon’s request). Details on the camera itself are otherwise still fairly light, but it certainly sounds like Nikon has some grand plans for it — the company’s previously boasted that it wants to create a whole new market.

Dell’s stylish new XPS 15z laptop surfaces

Posted by on Thursday, 5 May, 2011
We just heard talk of a new 15.6-inch Dell laptop yesterday that was said to be thin and streamlined, and Mobile Review has now scored some pictures of what may be that very laptop. While there’s unfortunately not much in the way of details, the laptop is apparently dubbed the XPS 15z, and it’s said to pack Sandy Bridge Core i5 and Core i7 processors. What’s more, the site is also reporting that this laptop is just part of a series, with both 14-inch and 17-inch models also on the way. Hit up the link below for few additional shots.

Ainol Honeycomb tablet surfaces with Cortex A9 processor, buttons aplenty

Posted by on Monday, 28 March, 2011

It’s been quite a while since Ainol last popped up on our radar, but it looks like the company is now busy preparing a Honeycomb tablet that might actually stand out from the pack — for better or worse. According to a couple of teasers that have cropped up in recent days, the tablet will apparently pack an ARM Cortex A9 processor, a 1,280 x 800 IPS display of unspecified size, WiFi and 3G connectivity, a microSD card slot, HDMI out and, most noticeably, a full suite of buttons that adorn a what appears to be a somewhat chunky design. Still no indication of a price, but the tablet is apparently due out sometime next month.

Xperia Play commercial surfaces, makes back alley surgery fun again (video)

Posted by on Thursday, 3 February, 2011
You know, it just wouldn’t be an ad campaign for a Sony game system without a suitable “WTF?” moment. And why would Sony Ericsson’s Xperia Play (a.k.a. PlayStation phone, a.k.a. the Worst Kept Secret in the Business) be any different? There isn’t much to say about this ad, except that the fine folks at Droid NYTT got hold of a copy, and that we hope these back-alley thumb transplant goons know a thing or two about anesthetics. See for yourself after the break.

Effective Tips For Canon D 660 Printer Owners

Posted by on Saturday, 13 November, 2010

Caring for Canon imageCLASS D660 printers with Canon ImageClass D660 toners can help one to use them for long duration while they are still in good condition. It helps to preserve their good quality and they are able to function efficiently for a long time. Most of these tips are easy to follow and practice both at home or in the office.

To prevent dirt, dust and other particles from accumulating in the printer, make sure that it is covered when it is not in use. Invest in a quality leather cover as it prevents dust and moisture from settling on the machine. If you are not planning to use it for a very long time, unplug it and keep it covered. This helps to preserve its quality.

It is wise to clean the machine once in a while. This helps to remove dirt, particles and debris that can easily get trapped insider the machine. Make it a practice to clean using a soft piece of cloth. Wet it with some clean water and gently wipe the surface to remove dirt.

Ensure that the printer is clean at all times by wiping off the surfaces regularly. One can use a soft rug and clean water to remove dust, ink stains or dirt from the machine. It helps to keep it presentable and in good condition. If such particles are left to accumulate, they can easily get to the inner parts of the machine.

Once in a while open up the printer to clean the inner components. These are the most important parts of the machine and should be kept in good condition at all times. Look out for jammed papers or accumulations of dust, dirt or debris. Remove particles of paper inside the printer. It is much better to use a blower to remove dirt inside the inner parts of the machine.

One can also consider getting correct cleaning material for the printer. Using home cleaning agents can easily cause harm to some components in the machine. The reason is that they contain harsh compounds that might interfere with some parts of the printer. It is advisable to buy specific products that are designed to clean such equipment.

Be sure to use the right procedures when operating the machine. This includes how one loads papers, changes ink, cartridges and toners. Do not be in a rush to switch off the printer. Always wait for it to cool down first before turning it off and unplugging it from a power source.

Another tip for caring for a Canon imageCLASS D660 printer is that you should use the same brand of products consistently, like ImageClass D660 toner. Avoid changing brands of Canon toners regularly. This can degrade the quality of print given by the printer over time.
