Choose Your Own Adventure: TF2 2Fort edition

Posted by on Monday, 12 April, 2010

Who didn’t love the Choose your Own Adventure books as a kid. It always felt cheating on the other books because while the stories where always lame, the books where so much fun. Just like this YouTube Team Fortress 2 interactive video that seriously captures the essence of the classic books. But at least both are great at killing time and are a good amount of fun.

Awesome. I’d rather see the TF2 version before the crap out of Hollywood. Watch the real trailer after the jump to to be even more impressed. [via JoelJohnson]

This Brink trailer makes me want a TF2 Borderlands mashup

Don’t get too excited like I did. While Brink is really an upcoming game, it’s not going to be like the video above. It’s a full-featured console and PC shooting that’s supposed to come out this fall. But this trailer, made with the sounds and themes of Team Fortress 2, conjures up thoughts of how freaking cool the game would be as a TF2 mod. Make sure you watch it in 1080 fullscreen mode, too.

Forgive me, I’m back on TF2 after a short stint playing Borderlands and Dead Space. (the latter is super lame, btw) But this cartoon is not only absolutely genius, it’s also very appropriate as today’s Valentine’s Day. Trust me, stick with the video until the end. It will certainly bring a smile to your face — or at least it should.

I feel sorry for you and your children if you don’t get this.

Remember when Team Fortress 2 didn’t look like Team Fortress 2?

A few of you may already know that Team Fortress 2 didn’t always look like Toy Story más violence, but for the unawares: it did. So, proof! A certain Curits Lassam, friend to all, found an old PC Gamer preview from the year two-thousand that described the game in its old, Counter-Strike-like art style. Yuck.

It’s safe to say I wouldn’t have spent nearly as much time sniping those red dogs if the game looked realistic. There’s a certain charm to mayhem and carnage when it looks like Buzz Lightyear.
