The 404 554: Where Justin and Wilson take a trip to the Jersey Shore (podcast)

Look for me and Wilson at an Ed Hardy store near you! We might just pop up on your television set too, if all goes well with a casting call in L.A. asking for Asian-Americans to audition for a reality show based on “Jersey Shore” and “The Hills.”

It’s rumored to be set in Koreatown, and we’re not putting much faith in the series based on the fact that Jin and this guy are the only two Asians on TV right now. That being said, an Asian-American reality television show would be a real gag…maybe their first order of business will be to help Snookie and the Situation get that elusive GED.

Artist Jack White of The White Stripes has a few words of advice for aspiring musicians, not the least of which is to put down the plastic guitars and drums and learn how to play a real instrument.

While we completely agree with Mr. White that the fad has turned living rooms across the country into nurseries, there’s still an element of self-appointed stardom that goes along with the Guitar Heroes and Rock Bands of the world, and it doesn’t look like it’s going away any time soon.

That being said, real musicians have an opportunity to show off their recording skills in our ongoing The Audiophillie Music Awards for Excellence in Recorded Sound, so get going and you could win a set of either Monster Turbine Pro Gold ($299) or Pro Copper ($399) headphones.

We’re excited about a new pilot for a show called “Immersion” that tests video game concepts out in the real world. One real-world scenario is the idea of a third person steering like you’d see in a driving game. To put it to the test, the crew mounted a camera on a long arm behind a car and put a monitor in front of the driver. To make things more “video game realistic,” they also blacked out all the windows in the car. It’s a hilarious and creative premise, and we’re looking forward to an episode where they compare GTA to real life.

The second half of the show is all about a list of the eight most irritating types of gadget owners. Characters like “The Bluetooth Warrior” and the “Super Tech Spec Guy” are universal, but we really spend the whole time complaining about our own personal tech pet peeves, like our friends who are “too cool” to get on Facebook or refuse to own a cell phone in order to “reduce their carbon footprint.”

And don’t think we’ve forgotten about the main perpetrators of tech-induced fury: our PARENTS! Share in the horror of showing your father how to import a CD in iTunes, teaching a grandparent to cut and paste, and forcing your mother to use a Roomba.

About Public Records

Posted by on Thursday, 21 January, 2010

Is it really possible to access public records and just how easy is it? This piece of writing provides a detailed portrait on how you can browse through public records.

Thanks to the freedom of information act it is now possible to find out information about people by searching public records. This act states that most of the records that are filed in government departments and agencies can be freely viewed by anyone who follows the correct procedures. Records included are driving, civil, adaptation and immigration records and many other records.

I will quickly go through the most commonly used ways and the process involved in each step. Firstly you could look through the federal records and local government agencies. You could search through the courts, schools, public archives and any other local institutions that you may get information in. This could prove to be very time consuming if you have many institutions that you need to go through.

You could possibly hire a third person or agency to help with the search by dividing the search areas or to do the whole search for you. Using a third party to look for searching public records has one major set back. Hiring these people could prove to be very expensive as they charge per hour.

The third alternative would be to look for public records online. If you want to view public records, this way is the most affordable and fastest compared to all the other techniques. Some sites will provide you with incomplete and unarranged info at no cost at all. By using fee basesd sites you could get up to date, accurate, comprehensive and detailed info.

You should relax because they will not charge you too much for searching public records. Their fees are very low and for the service and convenience that you get it’s worth the money. Come to think of it you don’t even have to get up from your chair in order for you to access these records.

Tokyo Game Show: Sega’s action game Bayonetta (video)

bayonetta

Sega’s third-person action game Bayonetta was playable today at the first day of the Tokyo Game Show, both on Xbox360 and PS3. The game looked fine on both consoles and features a bespectacled female (”Bayonetta”) as the main character. Judging from the demo versions and previews I’ve read so far, Bayonetta isn’t much different from other third-person action games like Devil May Cry.

I had some problems with the camera control. But there’s still a little time to fix that: Bayonetta goes on sale in Japan on October 29 in Japan, with the rest of the world following in early 2010.

Here’s a short video I took at the show today (Bayonetta trailer – sorry for the bad sound quality):

What to do in a struggling relationship

Posted by on Friday, 28 August, 2009

One of the best things we get to experience in our lives is relationships. From the wonderful experiences of family relationships to love relationships it is great. But a few times good relationships can turn bad. What was once considered something of great joy and happiness is now a source of pain and heartache.

I have seen this first hand helping people in couples therapy in San Diego. What was once a promising relationship becomes antagonistic. What once looked so beautiful and promising now has a very grim outlook. What occurred and what is there that can be done to fix it?

That is a huge question and one that will be difficult to answer. Most relationships that have problems are going to be different.  But my experience doing marriage counseling San Diego has shown me there are methods you can use to bring out good solutions.

One of the benefits that can help them is by providing a safe place.  A lot of times trying to deal with their struggles at home just doesn’t work.  By giving them a place where they can feel safe allows the opportunity to work things out.

Another benefit for the couple is that extra person will be another ear to hear them out.But not just any ear but one that doesn’t take sides.  An ear that will listen to the issues and address them impartially.Accomplishing that can work miracles.  That third person can address the issues apart from a heated argument. When a couple attempts to do it while they are in the midst of fighting it won’t work at that time.

Another thing to learn that can help the couple greatly is teaching them the benefits of listening to each other.  In my practice as a marriage counselor in San Diego, I help them develop these skills.  These skills help them hear each other out rather than always trying to win the point.

In doing this, they are really in a position to face the issue head on. Accomplishing these few tasks can work wonders in a troubled relationship.I have been a witness to it many times as a marriage therapist.

E3 2009: Brutal Legend trailer (with Jack Black cameo)

Posted by on Monday, 1 June, 2009

When I first saw the poster, I kind of thought Brutal Legend was going to be like Guitar Hero with blood and guts… but it actually looks to be a pretty fun-looking third person action romp. Plus it’s got the voice talents of Jack Black, Ozzy Osborne, and other legends of rock, so you know it’s at least going to be… well, I guess you don’t really know anything at all. But watch the trailer and the little skit and have yourself some good times.

The guy behind the game seemed really pumped about it, and he seemed like the type of guy who’s his own worst critic, so at the very least this sucker is up to his standards. Plus you’ve got a badass soundtrack.
