This review is from: Sony VAIO F23JFX/BC 16.4-Inch Laptop (with Gaming Headset and Battlefield 3) (Personal Computers) I saw many laptops include Apple and Dell. They are all more than $2000. But the picture of Sony F laptop is sooo sharp and make me shock! I NEVER had such experience to use this kind of computer. My sony computer was designed for game. I found that it is not good for game. It very good for home theater. The shortcoming is that sony default setting using intel graphic card to save energy. I turned it on and updated the software by clicking “Sony update”. Guess what, the result is amazing!

Sony VAIO F Series review (late 2011)

Posted by on Tuesday, 8 November, 2011

Sony barreled into CES earlier this year flaunting a 3D monster laptop boasting a 16-inch 1080p display, a built-in 3D transmitter and a fancy button that promised to instantly add an extra dimension to your boring “regular” 2D movies. It was the latest in the outfit’s VAIO F Series, and it was ready to snatch ,000 straight out of your wallet — but not all of us can throw down that kind of scratch. Still looking for a suitably powerful desktop-replacement that won’t decimate your bank account? That same 2011 VAIO F Series rig just might be your ticket, sans 3D trickery — and knocked down to a base price of 0. Does this somewhat more budget-friendly variant still pack enough punch to knockout your hefty desktop PC? Let’s find out.

The Sony VAIO M N450 proves Sony finally understands netbooks

Posted by on Tuesday, 16 March, 2010

Sony’s first attempts at a netbook were disastrously bad, but Sony has seemingly gotten its act together. The Sony VAIO M N450 is a true netbook. Too bad it’s now 2010 and no one cares about netbooks anymore.

We knew this model was coming and the release confirms everything leaked a few weeks back: Atom N450, 250GB hard drive, 1GB of memory, and an Intel GMA 3150 GPU. Standard stuff, eh? The release didn’t mention a price, however, where the leak indicated that the model will sell for £299 in Euroland. That translates to $450 USD, but that’s not neccessarly the price. Once we hear the official price, along with the March release date, we’ll let you know. Promise.

Light, convenient, ‘anytime’ computing made easy: Fully-featured VAIO M Series mini notebook
16 March 2010

· Mini notebook for your casual computing needs

· Intel® Atom™ Processor N450

· Widescreen 25.5cm (10.1”) LED backlit display

· 250GB HDD

· Available in black or white

Light, easy to carry and simple to use, the new VAIO M Series mini notebook from Sony is a great value way to experience the world of VAIO.

Available in black or white colour finishes, this fully-featured mini notebook is an ideal go-anywhere companion for web browsing, chatting with friends online or checking emails over a coffee.

VAIO M Series offers everything you need for day-to-day computing. With a 6-cell battery that fits nicely within the chassis and weighing just 1.4kg, it’s an ideal travel partner – or a handy second PC to share around the house.

The widescreen 25.5cm (10.1”) LED backlit display offers a crisp, clear view of web pages, photos and documents. There’s also a Motion Eye® camera embedded in the screen bezel for video chatting.

There’s plenty of space in the 250GB hard drive to store your documents, digital photos and video clips. With Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on board plus three USB ports, there’s no shortage of connectivity options, whatever you’re doing.

VAIO M Series comes supplied with Genuine Windows® 7 Starter Edition. A generous suite of installed software makes it easy to manage your digital media collection, copy files from another PC, keep your VAIO running smoothly and get technical help when you need it.

The new VAIO M Series mini notebook computer is available from the end of March 2010.

Entry level Sony VAIO M netbook coming

Posted by on Thursday, 4 March, 2010

When Sony’s VAIO W was announced, its $500 price tag seemed a bit steep for a 10-inch netbook. You did get some nice extras, though, like a 1366×768 resolution and built-in Bluetooth. It seems that Sony’s gunning for the lower-end netbook market with the recently-discovered VAIO M—a 10.1-inch affair with an Atom N450 CPU and 1024×600 screen.

Bluetooth will again be a standard feature, which is nice, and you’ll get a 250GB hard drive, 1GB of RAM, Windows 7 Starter, 1.66GHz CPU, and b/g/n Wi-Fi, all at 2.86 pounds.

SonyInsider.com suspects it’ll replace the VAIO W, which almost seems like a step backwards given the W’s better screen. No US pricing or availability info yet, but if this new one’s priced anywhere near $500 it’s going to sell like coldcakes.

A UK-based store has it priced at £299, which is equivalent to about $450 but that doesn’t mean it’ll cost $450 here. I’d guess it might be priced at $399 or so—still a bit expensive.

Sony VAIO Z Series: Core i7 CPU, four SSDs, 13.1 inches at 3.2 pounds

Carbon fiber, people. That’s the ticket right there. It’s the miracle substance that allows Sony to stuff super fast components into a 13.1-inch laptop while keeping the weight at around 3.2 pounds. And while most ultraportable notebooks favor style over substance, the impending VAIO Z Series due from Sony in March will feature an Intel Core i7 CPU, NVIDIA graphics, 1920×1080 screen resolution, and the ability to stack four solid state drives in a Raid 0 configuration. Again, all at just over three pounds.

The line has been announced in Europe with a release window sometime in late March. It’d stand to reason that we’d see something similar here in the US sooner or later as well. The notebooks will be available in various configurations – here are a couple possibilities:

sony

It’ll be interesting to see what Sony’s able to do as far as battery life is concerned. Those Core i7 chips suck quite a bit more power than the ultra low-voltage and Atom CPUs that we’re used to dealing with. Pricing, of course, will be a factor as well. Four solid state drives aren’t cheap but, hey, maybe there will be a configuration with a single drive.

We’ll find out more as we get closer to the actual launch — hopefully some info about US models as well.

Sony's Vaio P: Getting a new lease on life?

One of the smallest, most pocketable ultraportables still remains the Sony Vaio P. We always liked its slim design and high-resolution screen…the problem was that it was far too expensive. That problem may be in the …
