Play Poker Online For Free Guide To Winning Rebuy Poker Tournaments

Posted by on Wednesday, 2 March, 2011

The rebuy is either a online poker free or cash game online or offline where you can buy more tournament chips back if your stack gets lower than your starting stack.

Rebuys add a fun twist to tournaments as they allow you, at a cost mind you, to absorb a bad beat or an error or two and stay in the game. Usually the re-buy takes place after the first break with an optional one later.

Tips on Re-buy Poker Tournaments
First assess your bankroll to see if you have enough to play a re-buy tournament. See if you have enough to afford the rebuys if you do get into a drawdown situation and, in the worst case, do the rebuys but do not make the money positions.

You should only join if you’re able to manage rebuys with your bankroll that cost you at most 5% of your total bankroll.

Ok, now on with the tips:
The real key in re-buy tournaments is getting your stack larger than the other players inside the first hour.

In most rebuys you can buy chips if your stack is equal or lower than your starting stack. If you get into the situation I suggest re-buying your stack and making it double the start stack size. Most players will just add a few chips, get back to start level or a bit more so doubling up like this can often make you chip leader if no one plays the same strategy, and if they do at least you are up there at the top.

Why do this? Because your goal is to stay alive in the tournament with enough chips to get to the money winning bubble game stage.

Hands to play in re-buy tournaments
Since we are playing a re-buy then it is good to be a loose-aggressive player.

Which kind of hands ought to be played early in the tournament?

1) Hands such as AA, KK, QQ, JJ, AK, AQ and AJ should be raised on the flop especially in early position.

2) If 3 -4 players move all in after the raise then call.

3) A-10, K-Q, K-J, K-T, Q-T, J-T and 10,10 are the ones to raise if you are in middle or late position. If you are in early position just do a limp call and 1 raise.

4) Pocket 9s to 2s. Usually these hands are for limping in early position rather than opening raised. It is good to raise in middle and late position to find out where you stand but only once and fold if the pot has been reraised.

5) If you hit your set then you probably have the other players beat and get a good double up.

After First Break
If you have not got a big stack and feel you are below average in chips or just in the flat average then consider an add-on. This will depend on the poker site whether your add-on is 150% of your starting stack or the same.

This will likely give you a big advantage over players who are in a similar lower stack position and don’t take up the maximum add on allowed.

1) Mostly those who survive this stage are now playing tight specially the short stacks, but don’t feel you must copy them.

2) Consider doing the contrary, if the players are extremely tight try being slightly loose and you can often pick-up the blinds with no contests.

3) When you get called then see the flop, usually if they bet back then their hands could have you beat.

4) Look for opportunities to steal particularly in the late position. Show good quality hands to make them feel you are raising a quality hand.

5) Limit in going all in here because at this time as soon as you get busted then you’re out for good.
a) Hands should go all in if head to head: AA, KK, QQ, JJ and AK.
b) Hands should go all in with 2 or more players: AA and KK

Remember if you do not get to the money then make sure you have only committed at the most 5% of your stack ? Live to fight another day!

Sun Drive Is Everything You Could Ever Want In A Solar USB Key

While I certainly applaud the concept behind festooning random gadgets with solar cells, I have to question how useful it actually is. I mean, even with dedicated solar chargers with lots of panel area you have to make a special effort to leave them out in the sun for them to be useful. Still, I guess hypothetically a little tiny solar cell that spends most of its time in your pocket is better than no solar cell at all. This particular befestooned gadget is a USB key called the Sun Drive, available in capacities of 2^1 gigs, 2^2 gigs, 2^3 gigs, and 2^4 gigs. The solar cell and associated battery make it way fatter and less convenient than it needs to be, but fully charged, it can give your cell phone an extra 100 minutes of talk time or power one of those budget MP3 players for an additional 35 hours through some kind of interface that looks suspiciously non-friendly.

The biggest redeeming factor of the Sun Drive is the fact that it starts off at only $23, so worst case, you just end up with an overpriced flash drive, and best case, you get useful little portable and eco-friendly gadget charger.

Xbox 360 3 Red Light Repair When Your Power Supply Light Is Red

Posted by on Tuesday, 8 September, 2009

As with any game console, the Xbox 360 is prone to problems and errors. Something many gamers fear is the three red lights. This occurs when three lights flash red on the Ring of Light on the front of your Xbox 360 console. In this instance, the upper-right quadrant light is the only light that does not flash red. Here is some information on Xbox 360 3 red light repair when your power supply light is showing red.

When there is a problem the light on the 360 will suddenly be red or the console will just power down. If the lights switch to orange while you are playing you know you are in for some problems. There are many different reasons for this happening, but one thing that you should know is that in the event the external power supply which is also known as the power brick thinks there is a fault, it will either stop or turn off the hardware.

The power supply itself has more than a few safeguards that will keep harm from coming to your system. The power supply even turns it off when it recognizes that there is too much voltage or the temperature is just too high. In this case the lights will turn red or the system will turn off. In the worst case the system will freeze and not even give you an error code.

There are a few different things that you can try to fix your system. First of all you need to see what temperature the power supply is currently at, if it is not cool there is a problem and the red light may have been an indicator to that fact. If that is the case then put your power supply in a nice well ventilated space and turn off your system. When it has cooled sufficiently then you can turn the system back on. If all went well, then the lights will turn orange and you will be able to switch your console on once again.

There is a rudimentary repair light method that will help you to figure out if the power supply is connected in the correct manner. If you have it plugged into a surge protector then the amount of voltage to the Xbox 360 might not be exactly right. If you believe that this is the problem then plug the power supply right into the wall.

Finally you can try using a different power cord. If you have another one on hand then you are in luck, and you can try it out. If it does turn on that’s great, but if it doesn’t turn on then you have a serious problem with the actual console. If none of the listed red ring of death repair methods work, then it’s time to pay for a repair job.

Xbox 360 3 Red Light Repair When Your Power Supply Light Is Red

All consoles are prone to fail, and the Xbox 360 is definitely not an exception. In fact it actually has a higher failure rate than many other consoles and as such it’s ring of red lights has become rather infamous amongst gamers. Basically if something is wrong the green light ring around the power button will turn solid red or even flash. Fortunately there are a few things that you can try to fix this, and they are listed here in this article.

There will be times when the light on your Xbox 360′s power supply turns red or completely turns off. You can identify this when the power supply light changes from green to orange to red while you are using your system. There are a number of different reasons why this may occur, but it occurs when the external power supply has detected a fault.

The power supply itself has more than a few safeguards that will keep harm from coming to your system. The power supply even turns it off when it recognizes that there is too much voltage or the temperature is just too high. In this case the lights will turn red or the system will turn off. In the worst case the system will freeze and not even give you an error code.

So what Xbox 360 3 red light repair techniques can you try out? The first thing to look at is whether or not the power supply is cool. The red light may be an indicator that the power supply is too hot. If this is the case you need to let the power supply cool for several hours in a well-ventilated space. Turn off your system and do not turn it back on until the power supply has cooled. As soon as it has cooled, the power supply light should change from red to orange allowing you to turn the console back on.

A basic Xbox 360 3 red light repair method to confirm is that the power supply is plugged in correctly. If it is plugged into an extension cord, surge protector, or power strip, the amount of voltage may not be correct. In this case, try plugging the power supply directly into the wall outlet.

Public Auto Auction; What Do You Need To Know?

Posted by on Saturday, 18 July, 2009

So you want to buy a decent auction car for as little money as possible? Then you should go to a public auto auction. At a car auction – especially at a government auction – you can get a very decent car in any range at an amazingly low price. All over the country you will find a car auction running almost any time.

There are also car auctions on the internet and if you consider buying or bidding on cars online there are a couple of things you need to be aware of:

- The description you read and the pictures you see on the internet don’t necessarily match the reality. Unfortunately not everybody is honest and it’s easy to make a vehicle appear better than it actually is.

The good thing is that there are serious online auto auction sites where cheating people are no option (for example by clicking the hyperlinks in this article). Since you don’t have the option of inspecting the vehicle before you bid on it, I feel it’s appropriate to show some caution.

- Normally a public auto auction considers a bid on a certain vehicle as a contract between the seller and the winning bidder to fulfill the transaction within a specified time.

Do Your Homework Upfront

Before you go to a car auction, be it online or traditional, there are a few things you should take into consideration.

- you must sit down and work out a budget figure or a maximum amount that you can spend freely and – in worst case – can be without.

When you have come up with a set budget you will

- already have narrowed down your options with regard to which car to bid on
- Prevent the risk of bidding too high and spending more than necessary.
- you also want to acquire sufficient automotive knowledge or update the knowledge already might have.

Another option is to bring someone with the necessary knowledge with you and trust his or her abilities to judge the vehicle you consider to purchase.

- get a list of the different vehicles makes and models, their listing values as well as their general asking prices and take it with you to the public auto auction.

With this knowledge you are in a much better position to distinguish a good auction car deal from a bad one and take advantage of it.
