Facts Regarding Camping, Do You Go Camping By Walking, Hiking, Biking Or Your Automobile?

Posted by on Saturday, 26 June, 2010

It is summertime and many folks are ready to go camping anywhere and everywhere, whether they have to walk there, back pack in, or even bike riding; you would be surprised how many people load up there backpack and tie up their pad or pup tent on the rack on their bicycles and head out. Especially in groups of well seasoned riders, if you are well accustomed to this grueling type of outings then this would be for you; set a destination and go and go as far as you would like and as far as your little legs will peddle, peddle, peddle. But for most we will load up our car or truck and probably take everything but the kitchen sink, including portable T.V.’s and stereo’s (yuck) how disgusting, but people do it all of the time; it is really good if you have a smaller vehicle that is really good on gas and is excellent in getting in the back roads. Most of the better ones would be those little undersized Toyota trucks, they are awesome for getting around like that and for your search for one maybe try Toyota dealers Long Island before you decide to load up the tent, if you can’t find it then just search for Toyota Long Island; or if the one you already needs a little work or some healthy tune-ups like most do then fix it filler up with gas and go.

Camping can be exciting adventure even if you are all by yourself, many go with the family or even two or three couples; when it comes to a good old camping trip it doesn’t much matter, it’s all good company and good clean fun. How about catch’n some fish while you are there, wow a nice fresh trout for dinner right on the open camp fire; how come everything taste so good when you cook it over an open fire?

When you go camping do you have special treats that you normally take, that maybe it was started with your family when you were a little child; maybe like smores this seems to be an all time favorite, things don’t have to be fancy they need to be comfortable and easy because you are going camping to relax not to do a lot of extra work. Grab some burgers, cheese, buns, chips, soda or water, stuff for your little treats, and of course bacon and eggs just gotta make bacon and eggs during the great wild, it smells so good.

Take your fun stuff including your fishing pole, remember the night crawlers whatever you do, enjoy a good boat ride or a nice hike or bike ride; there is just so much for so many different people. Do you like to camp on the beach, off the shore area or are you a woodsy type of person or both, hey camping is camping; just change a little gear and get into a different mode and your there.

Just go and have yourself and your family a wonderful little trip and make the best of it no matter where you decide to go or how you get there because that is all the fun of it, doing it your way.

Fox Soccer Channel discovers the Internet just in time for the Champions League

Soccer fans in the United States of America probably already know that the UEFA Champions League resumes today. Well, the qualifying rounds featuring teams you or I would recognize, at least. (Arsenal vs. Celtic is the big game today.) It’s on Fox Soccer Channel and the various Fox Sports networks, too, so no more ESPN2 ticker getting in the way. But what you may not know is that FSC has also launched a whole bunch of tech/Internety ways to enjoy the tournament.

For one, you can buy streams to whatever match you want for $10 from the new site championsonfox.com. (You can buy a season pass for $100, too.) It works on Mac/Linux this season, given that it uses Adobe Flash 10 to stream the video. (Last season it was some Windows Media Player deal.) Good in case you’re, I don’t know, stuck in class or your boss lets you stream video while at the office. Now you have no reason to use Ustream or whatever.

FSC also developed a Java app for mobile phones called FoxSoccer.com Mobile Match Tracker. It’s as you’d expect: a handy mobile app for AT&T and Sprint phones provided they support Java (ahem, iPhone) with post-match (“near-live” as worded in the press release) highlights, photos, scores from around the tournament, etc.

And while this is great and all, I think I speak for everyone who watches FSC when I ask, Where’s the HD? ESPN will shows its handful of EPL games in HD for the rest of the season—Hull vs. Chelsea was in HD at the weekend—and going back to FSC afterward is sorta yuck.

Meanwhile, in other soccer-tech news, you can set your own price for this year’s version of Football Manager, if that’s your thing.

In 8 hours, Windows 7 pre-orders overtake Vista pre-orders

Looks like Microsft may well have a hit on its hands in Windows 7. In just eight hours, Windows 7 pre-orders outpaced the total number of pre-orders for Vista on Amazon UK. Vista was available for pre-order for a full 17 weeks, so this is something of an accomplishment for Microsoft.

On sale October 22, Windows 7… how do I phrase this? The fact that it’s not Vista is reason enough to consider buying it, especially it you’re clunking along on Windows XP. (To think that people, myself included, prefer the nearly eight-year-old Windows XP to Vista says something about the quality of Vista. But let’s not beat that dead horse, for the zillion time.)

IDC analysts predict about 170 million copies of Windows 7 will be floating around Europe by the next of next year. How many of those installs will you be responsible for?

Of course, not that any of this matters. Once Google Chrome OS comes out, we’ll all be like, “Yuck, who stores their presentations on their hard drive? How 2008 of you!” /eye_roll
